Peter Pan perched on top of Big Ben, looking over the city of London. Nothing looked significantly different since he had last left, so not much had changed. He turned to his left at the sound bells.
Tinker Bell was attempting to hurry him up so she wouldn't be buzzing around this giant clock all day. Peter smiled at the little fairy, grateful she was here with him. He had left his band of Lost "Boys" back in Neverland, not knowing what they would think of him returning to London. He would head back to them, very soon.
Peter finally decided to embark on the last leg of his journey. Instead of returning to Wendy's old childhood home, Peter flew in the direction of an old, once abandoned house. If Peter was correct, Captain Hook still lived there.
He didn't land when approaching the house, but flew up to the second story window. It was slightly opened, and Peter wedged it up further so he could fit through. Tinker Bell eagerly followed.
Peter noticed that this room was obviously a nursery. A crib, a mobile, and little toys were laid around, complete with a rocking chair. Peter sat in the rocking chair for a moment, before realizing he and Tink were not alone.
A baby lie sleeping in the crib. Peter quietly snuck over and looked at the beautiful child. He smiled, completely content. Tink pointed to the side of the crib and Peter read it.
Carved in the crib was the name Lucinda Hook, clearly the name of the child. Peter took notice of a locket place on the side of the crib, with the initials L.H. engraved on the outside. Peter opened the locket and broadly smiled. There was a picture of James Hook and Arabella Price on their wedding day on the inside. For one moment Peter was sad he had missed it. The two adults looked happier than Peter had ever seen the two in their lives.
"Tink," whispered Peter, "Pixie dust. This is where I want you to leave some."
Tinker Bell jingled a little bit, before sprinkling some dust inside the locket. Peter carefully closed it and put it back on the side of the crib. Tinker Bell flew out the window, ready to leave.
"Just a moment, Tink," said Peter.
Peter hovered over Lucinda's crib, before kissing the child on the cheek. The baby opened her eyes and looked curiously at Peter. A broad smile formed on her lips, but she did not cry.
"I promise I'll see you again, Lucinda," Peter whispered.
He left with Tinker Bell. Before heading back to Neverland, Peter had one more stop to make. He pulled out an envelope, addressed to Jane, Elmer, Edmund, and Arabella. He flew to Jane's home, and Wendy's old one, and placed the envelope on the balcony where the old nursery used to be.
Tinker Bell smiled sadly at Peter, and he nodded to her. The two slowly rose up in the direction of the second star to the right, and disappeared into the sky.

Jane Price, while cleaning an unused room in the house, was surprised to find an envelope with her family's name scrawled onto it. It had just been lying on the balcony, for who knows how long. She opened it curiously, and read the short note.
Thanks for being my mother, Jane. I won't forget it. You are all my family, and the only one I ever had. That makes each of you special. Neverland doesn't have everything. I love you all.
Best wishes,
P.P.
Jane's eyes filled with tears. Peter Pan! She remembered her adopted son with a pang. She had assumed she would never hear from him again. She shook her head. That boy didn't know how to stay away.
"Elmer!" she called.
"What is it?" her husband called.
"You'll never guess who must have visited!"
Elmer slowly climbed the staircase and smiled at his wife. They were both getting older, but still loved each other and their family with much passion.
"Peter," Elmer spoke wisely.
Jane nodded as a tear rolled down her cheek, but she was smiling.
"Yes," she affirmed.
Elmer hesitated, before speaking again.
"Peter never gave up hope, Jane. He never really did grow up. Soon, he'll realize, growing up isn't the end of the world. He'll be back, eventually, after we're gone. He'll realize there's hope at every age," Elmer whispered, embracing his wife.

Peter returned back to Hangman's Tree, his hideout in Neverland. Gabe quickly ran out and smiled at Peter.
"Where have you been?" asked the smaller boy.
"Nowhere," said Peter thoughtfully. He shook his head and grinned at Gabe. "Anything I missed?"
"No, not really," said Gabe.
Trish and Greg climbed out of the tree and looked at the two friend thoughtfully.
"What will we do today, Peter?" asked Greg.
Peter paused and looked at each and every one of them, including Tinker Bell. He looked back up at the sky and then down to his feet.
"We're gonna dream."
