Chapter 14
"'~.'~.'.~'.~'" Amy "'~.'~.'.~'.~'"
The moment I walked through my apartment door, shivering and soaked to the bone with Bugs on my shoulder, I was bombarded with questioning looks from the ninja inhabiting it. I hugged my shivering body as I rushed towards the bathroom to start a hot shower. Shino meowed from my shoulder when I ended up locking the bathroom door. I looked on my shoulder and frowned. When the fuck did Shino get there?
A sudden wave a dizziness hit me like a sack of bricks, causing me to fall to the floor. I closed my eyes and leaned back onto the door, letting out an exhausted sigh. The random episodes of uncontrollable shivering began to die down. My head began to throb dully, pulsing in time with my pounding heart.
"Nyaa!"
I opened my eyes to look down at Shino, who was shivering in his cat form. I forced a very small smile and pat his head for a moment. After the moment, I pulled myself over to the tub and turned the knob for the hot water. I closed my eyes and rested my head on the tub, my body shivering uncontrollably again.
"Y-you j-just ch-change back, sh-sh-sh-Shino. I-i-i-I am j-just gon-gonna la-lay h-here fff-for a wa-while." I stuttered through the clamped teeth. I attempted to force my body to stop shivering, failing horribly in the end. I tensed my shoulders and moved to head to rest on my arms, blocking out all sources of light. My skull throbbed once again.
After a moment of silence, a loud poof exploded in the room, causing me to jump. I kept my face in my arms.
"I saw Naruto put clothes in here for you before we left… they should be on the…umm… on the hamper." I mumbled forgetfully, exhaustion slowing my brain down.
I slowly felt my brain beginning to shut my body down, my head throbbed once again. I wave of sleepiness hit me with shocking force, forcing me to begin fall asleep.
"Amy, you should take a shower to warm yourself. You are not used to being exposed to the extreme cold, and you were hit in the head pretty hard."
"Hmm?" I asked tiredly, moving my head to face where Shino spoke.
"I didn't hear you… I'm just so tired…" I mumbled, my body suddenly becoming 50 pounds heavier.
"Don't go to sleep, Amy. You may have a concussion."
I groaned loudly.
"But I'm so tired!" I whined loudly. I heard a frustrated sigh in response. Hands then wrapped around me, lifted me up, and walked me into a hot shower. I yelped in response, my eyes opening widely. I looked up to look at Shino's face dumbly.
"Why'd you do that!? I'm so tired!" I whined, trying to get myself out of his hold. When he didn't budge, I tried pushing away from his bare chest to gain leverage. Wait. Wait. I paused a moment and began to assess the situation. Shino *gulp* was shirtless, that could only mean… I shook my thoughts away and refrained from looking down.
"Uhh… I think I'm okay now…" I mumbled, feeling blood rush to my cheeks. I avoided looking him in the eyes.
"Are you sure? You are still shivering."
I nodded quickly, showing that I was fine, and began to fuss again. After what seemed like eternity, Shino finally set me down. I continued to avoid looking at him directly, and allowed the hot water to press my hair to my head. My already soaked clothes stuck to my skin once again, pulling my down with their increased weight.
I looked at Shino's face finally, and found that he was watching me. I blushed again and looked away.
"I am wearing boxers, if that is what is bothering you." Shino stated suddenly, making my eyes widen.
"I-I don't know w-what you're talking about!" I stuttered embarrassingly, avoiding eye contact once again. After a long moment of silence, I looked back at Shino.
He had a big, knowing smile on his face.
I am so screwed. He knows that I have a dirty mind now.
Shit.
"'~.'~.'.~'.~'" Tai "'~.'~.'.~'.~'"
"Holy shit! Where did you come from, hobknocker?!" I yelled loudly when Zetsu emerged from the kitchen floor, making me drop and break the glass of soda I had in my hand.
"Hello again Tai. Stop calling us hobknockers you bitch. Stop being so rude. I'll eat you next time you do." After I took a moment to calm down, I looked at Zetsu with a frown.
"Why the hell are you two here? Aren't you supposed to be watching that bitch or something?" I questioned with a suspicious look. White Zetsu's eyebrow rose at my question while black Zetsu glared.
"That is none of your business bitch. Ignore him. Yes we were, but we have interesting information for Pein. Why did you tell her?..." I tuned out after that, dully noting that the two were fighting with each other.
Interesting information? What could it be? It has to be pretty important for Zetsu to have to come and inform Pein. I brought my thumb to my mouth in thought. My gaze fixed on Zetsu, who was now silent. Is my theory right?
"What is the important information?" I questioned, catching his attention. Zetsu glared and was silent for a moment.
"We have discovered that Orochimaru, as well as Kabuto, is here in this world as well. The witness of the Konoha was secretly working with them. She set a trap for that bitch. Surprisingly, she got away from their clutches." My eyes widened at this information and let it sink in.
"I fucking knew that hobknocker was here!" I yelled triumphantly, fist bumping the air.
This whole fiasco sure is getting interesting.
