THANKS, ArtemisXHolly159
I got home faster than Dave, as usual, and I immediately went to fall to the couch and sleep. I collapsed on the soft cushions and it felt like seconds before I was out like a light. I heard the door open moments later but thought nothing of it since I was halfway in Dream Land, where magical ponies fly and poop rainbows. The figure walked upstairs and into Dave's room. I heard the door shut and the sound of springs from the mattress. The last thing I heard was a loud sigh and that's when I fell asleep. I woke up and to my surprise, Dave was cooking pancakes. He saw me and smiled a genuine smile.
"Morning, sleepy head" Dave said happily.
"Morning" I replied, still a little groggy.
"How'd you sleep" He asked.
"Like a rock" I answered with a smile.
"Good, 'cause we have a lot to do today" He said.
"What do you mean?" I asked curiously.
"Well, after you left, I was driving back and saw D'Amico walking home. I followed and now I know where he's hiding" He explained.
"Awesome, nice work"
"Thank you. Now eat up so we can get this out of the way and get back to our normal lives"
"Amen" I said.
I ate pretty fast considering I wasn't even that hungry. Dave looked at me as if I was an animal from the way I was eating. I wanted eat fast so I could shove my butterfly sword up Ralph's ass. That was something I've dreaming about for a long time now. Dave ate baby pancakes and very slow. Not that it took long I mean...c'mon, they're BABY pancakes. I immediately ran upstairs after I finished and put on my Hit-Girl costume and put some normal clothes over it. Dave already had his Kick-Ass costume on under is clothes so I jumped into his car, where my weapons already were, and waiting for his slow ass to start up the car. He took forever and I was about to just take my bike but I needed him, so I waited.
"Ready?" He said as soon as he got in the car.
"Yeah, I have been for about 10 minutes, what took you so long?" I asked.
"Nothing" He simply relied, starting up the car.
There was something about how he said that that made me suspect he was up to something, but it wasn't bad or evil, maybe even tragic. I don't know what it is and I won't pressure him about it. I just stared out the window and thought of all the things I could do to Ralph once I got him alone. It was dark and that's all I'm going to say.
After awhile of driving, we stopped at a gas station and Dave parked. I looked at him curiously as to why he stopped here. He just shrugged and walked into to the store. He came out moments later with a couple gatorades and some chips. He didn't say anything, just smiled.
"What's this?" I asked smiling.
"We might get tired after all the ass-kicking we're about to do so I wanted to be prepared"
I just smiled at him and turned to look out the window as we drove. Everything was a blur at the speed we were going but I kind of liked it. To me it symbolized how fast everything in our lives seem to go by. After a few more minutes of driving we were there. It was a crummy apartment building that looked like a rainbow with all the grafitti sprayed on it. We walked all the way to the top of the building and walked into a hallway. It was long and narrow and the lights flickered from various bulbs. We threw off our civilian clothes and Dave put his mask on while I put mine and my wig. I pulled out my butterfly sword and remained vigilant. Dave pulled out his trademark batons and walked towards the door at the end of the hallway.
"Ready?" I whispered.
"Always" Dave replied, not taking his eyes away from the door.
He banged on the door hard and waited. D'Amico answered and Dave hit him across the face with his baton. He stumbled into a chair and Dave hit him once more knocking him out. I quickly tied him up and waited for him to regain conciousness. We didn't have to wait long. He stirred and looked at us. He smiled, his mouth riddled with blood.
"What's so funny" Dave said, sounding menacing. To be honest, he scared me a little.
"Just that you suck at tying knots" He said, breaking his bonds.
Dave and I immediately went into combat mode and began throwing punches. Ralph countered them easy and struck when we ever got vulnerable. After awhile he countered us both at the same time and pushed back a few feet. We stood there ready for him to charge, our breaths ragged and short. He never rushed 'cause he pulled out a hidden pistol. He was aiming right for me and didn't even hesitate. He fired and the next thing I knew it was black. Just...pure...black...
