Hey guys! This is the final chapter of The Day The World Stopped. I have finally thought of an idea of how to end it. Glad to because there is about 9in. of snow outside and none of the roads in my area are plowed. So here is the ending. Hope you all like it.
It took Greg Parker a long time to meet up with his in-laws and sisters friends. He hated this day. This became his yearly trip; more like his vacation. Ever since 9/11/2001 Greg made sure to visit Vince, Linda, Stephanie, Paul, and his nephew.
"Sorry, I'm late guys. It gets harder to come here on the anniversary." Greg said.
"It's okay. I didn't expect it to get any better. Even though it's been eight years Monica still thinks Chandler will walk through the door." Ross said looking at his sister sadly.
"They never did find his body, did they?" Stephanie asked. She couldn't imagine what Monica and her sister-in-laws friends were going through. Shane and Shea's bodies were found.
"No. And I am not giving up hope that he got out somehow! I will not believe he is dead until I have proof!" Monica yelled.
"Look can we not fight. We all lost the people we love. We all lost friends, brothers, sisters, and in-laws. We all need to stop arguing and remember all the good times we had with Shane, Shea, and Chandler. Paul said.
Everyone nodded and headed over to the memorial that held the names of the victims on that fateful day. Greg went to Shea's name which was right next to Shane's. It made it easier for him to tell his 12 year old nephew, Tyler, about his mother when she was younger.
"Tyler, your mother was a very strong woman. She even kicked my butt a couple times when we were younger. I deserved it every time. And she was a very good wrestler as well. But, your grandparents and aunt will be able to tell you more about that part of her life." Greg said.
"Your father was a very energetic man. He was so smart and always came up with great ideas for story lines and characters. Even though I didn't use his ideas all the time they were still great. He was very talented in the ring as well, just like your mother." Linda said with tears in her eyes.
"Can you show me some of their matches again?" Tyler asked. He had seen his parents wrestle millions of times, but he liked watching them because that was the only way he got to see his parents. Other than photos and it as the only way he could hear their voices.
"Sure you can." Vince said.
Joey, Rachel, Ross, Monica, and Phoebe where at the plaque that held Chandler's name. It was farther away from Shea and Shane's so they would have to tell Tyler about their friendship with this mother and father later. The group hadn't been the same since September 11th. Joey had moved out of apartment 19 and moved into another building all together. He said their apartment held to many memories. The gang no longer hung out in Monica's apartment because that as well held to many memories. Monica, of course, still lived there. She still held out hope that Chandler would return to her.
"I can't believe it's been eight years. " Rachel said.
"I know. It feels like just yesterday that we were all hanging out and just talking. Then the next they were gone." Ross said.
"Hey, Chandler. A lot has happened since you've been gone. Ross and Rachel are still together; surprisingly." The couple Phoebe was talking about just glared at her. "Joey moved into a new place and is doing well in his acting career."
"Yeah, I got a couple reoccurring roles and some national commercials. I still miss ya' though buddy." Joey said.
"Monica is having a hard time moving on though. It's been hard for her to except your passing. We've tried to help her, but she still thinks you're coming back. She still lives in the same apartment and still works in the same restaurant. If you could reassure she will be okay that would be nice. I married Mike; we met a few years after everything that happened. But you probably already know that. Considering you are watching us from up there." Phoebe finished with tears in her eyes.
Meanwhile
Shea and Shane watched as Vince, Linda, Stephanie, Paul, and Greg tell their son all about them. It had upset them that they could not be with Tyler as he reached new milestones in his life. Like graduating high school, starting college, getting married, and having kids. But they could watch from above.
"I miss them so much, Shane." Shea said as she hugged her husband.
"I know, sweetie, I miss em' to. You have to realize that Tyler is in good hands. Steph, Paul, mom, dad, and Greg will be able to help him through life and tell him about us." Shane said and kissed his wife on the forehead.
"What about my brother? He lives in Canada. He's so far away….."
"There is nothing we can do about that. He has his team up there. They treat him like family. He has my sister, parents, and Paul, and Tyler. He'll be fine. He comes to visit as much as he can. He even stayed here for nearly a year after we were gone. Remember?" Shane asked.
Shea nodded. She did remember; Greg didn't want to leave his nephew or family until he thought they were ready. He needed them and they needed him. He told Tyler all about when her and Greg where younger, about when he first met Shane, and getting to know him. Even about their side of the family. When he finally did leave it was hard, but he promised he would talk to them as much as he could and visit on major holidays.
"They will be fine. It just hurts not to be there." Shane nodded unable to speak pass the lump in his throat. They continued to watch their family until they left. Promising to visit soon.

Chandler watched his friends. He had heard everything Phoebe said and almost cried. He hated not being there and saw how hard it was on Monica. He had to find a way for her to let her go. He saw Richard had tried to go out with her and she had turned him down. Just like countless other men. He watched as everyone started to leave. It was then that he came up with an idea.
Monica dreamed of Chandler that night. Just like every night. She wondered what their life would be like. How many kids would they have? Would they still be friends with the group and Shea and Shane? Would they even get married?
"Monica?" an all too familiar voice asked.
"Chandler?" She saw the familiar forum of her boyfriend standing just a few feet away. "Oh! I knew you weren't dead! I knew you would come back to me!" She ran up to hug him. But, instead of catching her she ran right threw him. Her worst fear had come true.
"You have to move on, Monica. I hate to tell you this, but I'm not coming back. I-I-I died that day. Just like Shea and Shane. You deserve to be happy and waiting for something that will never happen won't do it. I can't believe I am saying this, but go back to Richard. Or date Joey-"
"Joey? Please, Chandler, you know I would never fall for him."
"That's what you said about me." Chandler smiled at her sadly.
"I wish you never went to that meeting. I wish you were still here with me. I hate that everything changed!" Monica sobbed.
"I know, but you have to realize things happen for a reason. You will meet someone new and fall in love and maybe marry that man. Have kids and get the life you want. I believe in you. You just have to let me go. I will always be in your heart."
"I don't think I can….."
"Please, for me. Promise me you will move on."
"I promise." Monica kissed Chandler on last time. Then he was gone. She woke up the next morning and realized it was time to stop moping and keep her promise to Chandler.
THE END!
