"Okay, five books later and three full bedtime kisses, little man is finally out for the count." Blaine shut the door slightly to their bedroom. He went into the bathroom connected to their room and rubbed moisturizer on his face.
"I know I heard the pig go over the moon six times." Kurt smirked and nodded towards the baby monitor. He set his magazine down on his lap for a moment and looked like he was trying to hear something. "Wait do you hear that?" He listened intensely to the monitor.
"What?" Blaine froze for a second, Aiden hadn't gone to sleep at a reasonable time since they got back from Ohio; it had been almost two months. They had been going to family counseling since his surgery and Kurt was getting back to how he used to be. Instead of Kurt's insisted three days a week when they first started, they were down to once every two weeks. In fact he was more into Aiden than ever before. Sometimes Blaine had to practically pry the two away from each other.
"He's quiet and...snoring!?" Kurt smiled. "For the first time since we got back from Ohio Aiden is going to bed in his own crib and actually asleep. Good work Dad."
Blaine turned off the light in the bathroom and yawned. He climbed into bed, "All in a day's work." He rested his head back and closed his eyes.
"You know..." Kurt said moving his magazine off the bed completely. "I know we've been busy a lot lately. In fact I looked at my journal while you were putting our son to bed and…it's been twenty two days."
"Twenty two days since what?" Blaine mumbled with his eyes still closed.
"Since well…" Kurt placed his hand on Blaine's thigh. "We've just been so busy with Aiden and the dog..."
"And work." Blaine muttered. He was working half from home and half from the office now and Kurt ended up not taking his trip to California, instead demanding them to abide by his stipulations in order to take care of his son, he had put. That and he had threatened to make sure none of them would be able to sell any fabric or line in New York again.
"Yes and work..." Kurt turned off the light on his bedside.
"I thought you we're reading?" Blaine said opening one eye.
"I want to do something else." Kurt kissed Blaine neck and ran his hand down the front of Blaine's shirt. "I have missed you and am doing everything in my power not to just attack you right now."
Blaine laughed and let Kurt kiss his neck, "I mean...Aiden IS asleep and tomorrow IS Saturday. Meaning..."
"Meaning I don't work until late and your off all day with the baby. Just you guys cleaning dishes and running errands..."Kurt sucked right behind Blaine's ear.
"Mhmmm. God Kurt Hummel. Nothing gets me more turned on than the thought of washing dishes and cleaning baby food off of the high chair." Blaine laughed and turned to face Kurt, their lips meeting.
Kurt sighed and kissed Blaine fiercely. Blaine returned the eager favor by kissing Kurt and finding himself moving to Kurt's neck nipping lightly just above his collarbone. A small whimper came from him who laced his fingers in Blaine's hair. "Shh." Blaine silenced him with soft kisses. He guided Kurt back onto the bed and straddled over him.
"I love you." He whispered as he pulled Kurt's shirt over his head. He let Kurt pull him into a firm kiss, let him take the dominance.
Not missing a beat, Kurt added, "Take your shirt off." He placed kisses into Blaine's neck. Blaine sat up nodding and tossed his shirt off to the side and leaned down to kiss Kurt again but stopped only short when Kurt frowned, "You know how I feel about laundry on the..." His voice caught as Blaine placed kisses right above the waist of his pajama bottoms which slung low on his hips. "You were saying?" Blaine smiled smugly.
"God," Kurt whispered. "Don't stop..."
He let Blaine toy with the drawstring on the pants before he pulled him back up for a passionate kiss.
"I want you so bad Kurt." Blaine said as he kissed his neck. Even after years of saying that, it never failed to get Kurt completely and irreversibly turned on. Kurt reached his hand forward but as soon as he was about to reach inside Blaine's pajama pants, a broken cry tore over the baby monitor. Blaine lifted his head immediately and both of them froze listening intently.
"Maybe it's just a nightmare." Kurt whispered while looking at the monitor.
"Shh." Blaine said.
It was quiet for a moment and then Aiden's cry could be heard through the baby monitor and the hallway. The dog howled in time with Aiden's cries.
"Ohhh." Blaine let his head fall into Kurt's chest. "No no." Kurt closed his eyes and rubbed his hands through Blaine's hair, "I love our son but...why?!"
Blaine stood up, "Okay five minutes! Don't move!" He rushed out of the room grabbing his shirt on the way out. "Five minutes." He called. Kurt just shook his head and smiled waving Blaine off.
Blaine turned on the light in Aiden's room, "Buddy what's wrong?" He walked over to Aiden's crib. Aiden stood up in his crib whining and motioning for Blaine to pick him up. "Up up."
Blaine pushed his hands down lightly, "No Aiden. It's time for sleep in your sleeping in your own bed tonight."
Aiden fussed and whined; he sat down and crossed his arms. He stood up again motioning to the stuffed pig Cooper gave him last year.
"Okay that's all, then bed." Blaine placed the pig in the bed.
"Story Dadda!" Aiden looked up at Blaine.
"No story, its bedtime." He placed a kiss on Aiden's head. "Go to sleep, Bear is right here." He pointed to the dog, which lay right in front of Aiden's crib.
Aiden pouted and whined, "Sleep with Dadda?"
"No Aiden. You sleep in your bed tonight." He muttered to himself walking backwards out of the room, "I blame your Poppa for letting you sleep in our bed all this time." He left the door open slightly before hurrying back to his room stripping his shirt over his head, "He just woke up and wanted to sleep with us. Now where were..."
Blaine stopped at the foot of the bed to see Kurt passed out asleep.
"Kurt? Kurt?! No! You can't fall asleep; remember...twenty two long sexless days!" Blaine planted kisses all up and down Kurt's shirtless torso.
"Mhmmm." Kurt mumbled in his sleep. "Just...twenty minutes. We'll just rest up, you know and then..." Kurt nodded off again.
Blaine sighed but laid his head on Kurt's chest. He stifled a yawn, "Fine. Just..." He yawned again. "Twenty minutes okay?!"
"Mhmm." Kurt muttered. "Twenty. That's it."
_
"Poppa? Poppa?"
Blaine nudged Kurt in his sleep. "Kurt." he muttered sleepily.
"Mmm." Kurt mumbled pulling the blankets higher over his head.
"Kurt wake up, the baby's calling you." Blaine nudged Kurt again in his own thick sleep.
"Your turn." Kurt said digging deeper in the covers. "Did it…last night." Blaine grunted back. "YOUR turn".
Kurt blinked slowly glancing at the clock and sighed, it read 3:02a. "He just can't sleep through one night can he?" Kurt said to Blaine who replied with a grunt in his sleep.
Kurt slowly slid out of bed and stood up grabbing his robe from behind the door. He made his way to the kitchen and made a warm cup of milk for Aiden. While it heated up, he felt himself drifting to sleep. Bear came into the kitchen and nudged against Kurt's leg.
Kurt startled at first, reached down to pet him. "Hey, good dog." He ran his hand across his back. The microwave beeped and Kurt took the milk out. He screwed on the lid for Aiden's cup and went down the hall with Bear following. Aiden stood in his crib and his face brightened when he saw Kurt.
"Poppa up!" Aiden reached his hands in the air.
Kurt handed him the cup and headed towards his room. Aiden drank the milk quietly and leaned his head on Kurt's shoulder. When they got to the room Aiden saw a sleeping Blaine lying face down. "Daddy play!"
Kurt shushed him and set Aiden in between Blaine and him. Bear took one jump and got on the bed nuzzling himself into Blaine's back. Kurt put his robe back and climbed into the bed. He closed his eyes for just a second before he heard Aiden chatter. "Poppa and Daddy wake up."
Kurt opened his eyes a little. "Aiden do not wake up Daddy."
"Too late." Blaine mumbled facing the wall. He brought his head up and looked in Kurt's direction. "I thought we agreed no more him in the bed. We need to wean him Kurt. It's been nearly every night this week."
"I know." Kurt groaned. "Last time, I swear. Hear that Aiden, it's your own room from now on." Aiden just yawned and rubbed his eyes settling into the pillows. Kurt leaned up and looked at from Blaine across the bed. "Last time I promise." He whispered as Aiden yawned again.
Blaine smirked, "No it's not but for now I GUESS its okay." He turned away facing the wall again. "But when he's seventeen and still sleeping in the bed with us, don't blame me."
