Chapter 11.

The week passed just like any other week. The whole office was in a hurry, so Sasuke had a good reason to concentrate solely on his work. He was trying to look even angrier than usual – offering dark glares and scowls to anyone who dared to disturb him. He was avoiding Naruto as much as he could, going as far as sending Meredith to deliver papers to the other man in his stead.

Sasuke was feeling extremely anxious because his mind was stubbornly putting together new bits and pieces about the night he had spent with Naruto. He really didn't want to remember – especially when new flashbacks awoke confusing feelings deep inside of him... Feelings he wasn't familiar with.

Naruto, on the other hand, had apparently forgotten everything… At least if anything could be deduced by the way he kept flirting with the assistants. Not that Sasuke cared, but still.

Sasuke had run into Naruto a few times while getting coffee, but they hadn't spoken a word. Sasuke had been concentrating solely on the coffee machine but could still have felt those amazingly blue eyes on him, following his each and every move. When their eyes had accidentally met, Sasuke had been taken aback by the darkness lingering in the depths of those pools of blue. Sasuke was quite sure that beneath all that anger he could see disgust.

For the first time in his life, Sasuke was actually waiting for the weekend. Friday felt heavenly, even thought mister Sowenger announced that Meredith would be promoted as CFO. Sasuke couldn't bring himself to care; he just needed some peace and quiet. He was tired of hiding, painfully aware of the fact that just across the corridor Naruto was sitting in his own room. He was tired of hearing the women swooning and giggling in there… He was so completely and utterly tired.

He didn't really want to ponder why he was so bothered by the ladies pining over Naruto. At this point he wasn't even trying to understand the nausea that took over him when he saw Naruto slip in an elevator with the funding assistant. He also didn't want to keep repeating to himself how wrong it was to wake up every morning with an aching hard-on between his legs… All caused by dreams of blue eyes, blond hair and tan skin.

A sudden knock on his door forced Sasuke to lift his gaze from his papers and discard his silent speculations. When his eyes focused on the doorway, he could feel all the muscles in his body stiffen. Naruto was there, leaning on a doorpost in a relaxed manner, his hair all messy and utterly perfect. The blonde had apparently once again ditched his tie somewhere, and he had left too many buttons open. Before Sasuke could stop himself, his eyes had darted towards the tan skin, exploring the way it tightened deliciously over the collar bone. He could vividly remember how hot it had felt to his touch...

Sasuke flinched when Naruto stepped inside, closing and locking the door behind him.

"What...?"

"We need to talk", Naruto pointed out.

Sasuke glared at Naruto. "If it's not work related, I have nothing to say to you."

Naruto snorted while walking close. "Really?"

Sasuke was trying to remain calm, although the fact that his desk was the only thing between them didn't help. "Yes, really", he stated.

Naruto placed his palms flat against the table, leaning over them. "I think you have a lot to say. But right now I'm only interested in one thing particular…"

Sasuke squinted his eyes as a warning when Naruto leaned even closer. He didn't want to give away his nervousness so he refused to lean away. "…And what do you want me to say?"

"Admit that you want me."

Sasuke could feel all the color drain from his face. "W-What..?"

Naruto chuckled. "Who would have thought that I would make the great Sasuke Uchiha stutter... But please, don't play coy with me. Do you really think that I didn't notice all those longing glances that you've been sending my way?"

Doing his best to look infuriated, Sasuke fished around his brain for anything to say. He couldn't stand the smirk that had settled on Naruto's lips. But before he could come up with anything rational, Naruto grabbed his tie and yanked him closer, forcing him into a kiss.

Sasuke could feel his eyes widen with shock and he was sure that he had stopped breathing. He couldn't move a muscle, although he knew that he should push Naruto away. He could smell the warm scent of Naruto's skin, and without even realizing it, he closed his eyes. Sasuke could feel himself responding to the kiss when Naruto's tongue touched his lips. The kiss was almost as rough as the one they had shared on a dim salon floor not so long ago. Sasuke felt Naruto's fingers gripping his tie harder. He was trying to ignore the smile he could clearly feel on the blonde's lips.

When Naruto slowly pulled away from the kiss, Sasuke wobbled back to his chair trying to level his breathing.

"I think I just pretty much made all your arguments invalid", Naruto laughed. "Just admit it – you want me."

Sasuke adjusted his tie and glared at Naruto. "Sometimes what you want isn't what you need."

Naruto snorted and leaned over the table once more. "As you can see; I don't care. Push me away if you want, but as long as you don't resist, I'm gonna do what I want."

"What are you trying to accomplish?" Sasuke asked, quietly grinding his teeth together. He felt a little better when the question brought a confused look into those blue eyes.

"What do you mean 'accomplish'?"

Slowly Sasuke stood up. "What are you trying to accomplish with this? Are you perhaps trying to get me fired? Trying to seduce me just so you can go cry to mister Sowenger, or perhaps to your father, and tell them how I have been molesting you?"

Sasuke wasn't sure why the pain in Naruto's eyes made his own heart throb unpleasantly, but he felt it was necessary to continued. "Even you can't be too stupid to understand", he started with a grim voice, "that what we did, was the worst possible mistake. A mistake that wouldn't have happened if we weren't so fucking wasted."

Naruto pushed his hands in his pockets, his movements hesitant. "Did it feel like a mistake to you?"

Sasuke barked out a dry laugh. "You really are an idiot. Of course it felt like a mistake! That mistake cost me my promotion."

"…Indeed", Naruto whispered.

Sasuke shifted his gaze away from Naruto, because the expression that had taken over those delicate features made his throat tighten and chest clench.

"I won't be bothering you anymore", Naruto muttered before he left the room.
