As soon as I posted last chapter there were two views! Canadians! Funny seeing as most of my readers are American (according to traffic charts). Also, when I was editing this through Fanfiction it wanted me to change 'Aster' to 'Master'. It was fine with 'Aster's' but it must REALLY like Bunny.

A present for missing so many updates. Let's see if I can finish this, shall we?

Bunny managed to find Jack's scent and tracked him to a park. A woman nearby yelled "Where did my pretzel go?! It was just here!" before leaving in a huff.

Bunny chuckled a little. That was his Jackie. Suddenly he caught the scent of a certain root rat, that, in Bunny's opinion, was way too close to his snowflake.

Bunny caught sight of Jack and froze at the scene before him. Jack snorted "Did you just?" Eberlein just smiled in response and Jack took the offered pretzel and opened his mouth to take a bite…

Bunny was gone in a muffled blur, eyes wet but refusing to cry because ALPHAS DON'T CRY. They just don't, even if they can feel the hope sink and a ring tucked away safely got very heavy with grief.

They don't weep, even if they feel their heart shatter. Alphas don't cry, Pooka warriors don't cry. Bunny won't cry. Maybe.

Jack raced to the warren to tell his Alpha the good news, smiles and laughter spinning around him. He checked Bunny's workshop but the Pooka wasn't there.

Jack stayed for a moment, smiled whimsically as he remembers his Alpha showing him how to hold a brush, paint with steady motions, and to "Not freeze the bloody paint!"

Jack then went to the gardens, both the personal one and the large ones filled with egg-flowers, or bearers-of-evil-candy-that-takes-up-too-much-time as Jack fondly called them. Easter had passed a few days earlier and, Jack might have smiled as he touched a leaf softly, Bunny made up to the time Jack wouldn't see him with another picnic.

Finally, Bunny was found as Jack flew over one of the impossible mountain-like ranges. Bunny sat looking out toward the meadow below.

Jack smiled brightly at the sight of his Alpha even if he was worried by the out of character way he acted. "Bunny! You won't believe the news I have for you!"

"Save it Jack, I already know."

Jack paused. "You know?" He walked softly up to Bunny and sat by his side. "Then why aren't you rejoicing?"

Bunny looked up sharply and glared at Jack from eyes that lead to tear trails that ran down and matted his fur. "WHY would I celebrate? Why are YOU here, telling me to CELEBRATE?! I SAW YOUR DATE WITH THAT ROOT RAT! IF YOU ARE LEAVEN' THEN GET GONE!"

"Bunny-" Jack gasped and suddenly tears came up because SOMEHOW HE UPSET HIS ALPHA. "What did I-" Jack whimpered but memories flew to the front of his mind. How that he had, in some people's opinion, been acting friendly with the Groundhog.

Bunny must have tried to find me and saw… Suddenly Jack burst into tears. "I didn't mean to! I just- I… He told me he would drop the suitor claim! And- I am such a bad mate! Oh moon! Bunny, you deserve to hate me!"

With that Jack launched himself into the air to ride his Alpha of the burden of a certain Jack Frost, ignoring the "WAIT!" that echoed after him.

Aster wasn't completely sure what he heard at first but when Jack continued to cry at what a horrible mate he was, something Bunny faintly recognized as a sign that an Omega was upset about letting their mate down, Bunny locked on to that one sentence that explained everything.

"He told me he would drop the suitor claim!" The words bounced through Bunny's head, growing hope and joy within the Pooka. The last words Jack said left like the ice he made as he took to the air quickly, ignoring Bunny's desperate call of "WAIT!" that rang amidst the rocky landscape.

Bunny was NOT going to lose his Omega, refused to lose his JACK. He felt for a certain ring case and then summoned a tunnel. I'll search the world over for my mate!

Bunny finally found Jack in the middle of the Sahara. Darkness cooled the sands down and Bunny focused on the patch of white that he had barely saw from a quick peek up from a tunnel. He padded up the winter spirit quietly and heard the broken sobs from the pale figure. Oh Jack…

"What you doing in the middle of a bloody desert, Jackie?" Bunny noticed a flinch and hoped the nickname would help.

"I'm gonna wait here until the Sun's up." Jack mumbled, arm still thrown over most of his face.

It was Bunny's turn to flinch. Jack was trying to commit suicide. Not that he would succeed, what with his new stock of believers, but the burns could scar him.

"Jack, I heard what you said. About Eberlein refuting his claim on ya. I'm sorry I overreacted. I just saw you together and I thought you were too good for me anyway and-"

Jack shot up like the wind he befriended, blue eyes wide and sad "You are too good for ME! I'M the one in the wrong! I should have asked you first or just said no…"

Bunny chuckled "It's a good thing ya did this, even if I hate ya being near him. As in custom, all unlucky suitors have to attend the bonding ceremony and I would hate for that dill to be there. Since he gave up his rights, we can ban him from the ceremony. Or beat him to a pulp. Either one."

Jack smiled softly at his Alpha. "I doubt he would have come anyway. We talked and he found me positively annoying."

Bunny tensed and pulled his Jack into a warm embrace, growling. "You are perfect. Don't let anyone else tell you less than that."

Jack rolled his eyes but he smiled mischievously as he said innocently "I iced him and made him fall."

Bunny chuckled and suddenly pushed Jack out of his embrace. Jack whined at not being in his Alpha's embrace and the underlying idea that maybe he hasn't forgiven yet rushed through him. He was shushed with a peck to his cheek and suddenly Jack was holding a small wooden box.

The wood was a red color, with burned images of flowers and snowflakes greeted Jack. Jack traced the flowers, Jack could recognize the Lilac, some type of Iris, and Tulip, and smiled at Bun- Aster. This was too important to call his Alpha by a silly nickname.

Aster's ears flattened and he opened the box with shuddering breath, he was drowning in hope, and heard Jack's gasp. "Jack Frost, I would like to bond with you. Please except this ring as a show of my love and devotion. Will you accept me as your Alpha?"

Jack smiles through his tears "I already accepted you as my Alpha, just waited until you would make it official. Yes, Aster, I will bond with you."

Suddenly Aster finds himself with a lapful of excited Omega Jack, kissing Aster fiercely. No normal Omega would dare do that, but Aster knew his Jack would.

They pulled apart and panted in the cold air. "I love ya Jackie." Bunny nuzzles Jack's neck and nibbles at it.

Jack giggles at the sensation of HIS Alpha kissing and nibbling his neck but still responses "I love you too, Kangaroo."

Bunny pulls back and playfully growls at the nickname but still slips the ring on Jack's finger. Then he pulls up Jack to cradle him as Bunny stood. "Time to get home, can't have my frostbite melting."

Jack frowned "I don't melt!" Bunny just smiles and bends down for another kiss from the white haired teen. Then they left through a tunnel as the first pink edges of the sun emerge.

I researched cold resistant plants so I used Barbados Tulip, Absolute Joy Dwarf Iris (So Jack!), and Burgundy Queen Lilac. These all have meanings, I would like to point out. Find them before I post the answers next update!
