Sokka the hunter
Chapter 2: Observations
Observer scimitar's log entry 1: universal time .0001111, galactic time 23.010 planetary time zone 3, local time 3:43 pm.
I have arrived on plant RX-78-2 two days ago and chose to settle in the planets South Pole. I found a cave that is rich in lead this will shield my ship from any scanners used by other intelligent spices passing the planet. I have planted a beckon/transmitter arrays throughout the mountain, over the last two days to allow transmission through the lead. It is strange that there is no sign of any form of mining in the cave my ship is hidden in. I sent some probes out to check if there is any sighing of lead mining and to random air samples to check the air content to see if it has any special property's, like plant Earth-22.
On to the next point of interest, I have found the strongest form of life energy from one of the humanoids of the planet. I will be heading to the location after this is transmitted. I will report again in a few days.

Scimitar finished his report and grabbed his mask. Because air samples had never been taken on the planet, RX-78-2 Scimitar would need to ware it whenever he is off his ship until the analysis came back. He went to his ship's cargo hold and got in his classic Titian atmospheric transport. He restored and upgraded this classic ship over the last four years. He changed it form a pile of junk to a fully restored and better than modern A.T. ship.
The titan was a five thousand year old atmospheric transport with a far stronger chassis that used thick lightweight heavy atom alloy GBB-224 alloyed with RGB-332. Both were unaffected by the acid blood of the serpents. The AT looked very sleek with very sharp edges and the ship is shaped like a leaf shaped sword.
The original titan's navigation system was not the most reliable even for the time that is why only fifty were ever made. Scimitar had ripped it out and replaced it with a state of the art model his daughter Little Claw designed a year back. It used not only the planets magnetic field to navigate but also the DENS that she had successfully miniaturized. Scimitar engaged the cloak and took off.
(DENS stand for dark energy navigation system. Which uses the dark energy produced by shadows to map a planet.)
Western Air Temple…
Scimitar pulled up close to the structure that looked as if it was built upside down and was hanging from a cliff. It reminded Scimitar of the temples from the Far East part of some of the Earth planets. He puts the ship into a hovering position a mile above the temple. Scimitar went used the dark energy teleported to send himself down to an unoccupied part of the temple.
Scimitar engages his second cloak after he is off the ship, since the Full Spectrum Anti-Sent Camouflage Cloak's barrier interacts with the dark energy the Yautja teleported give off. The resulting energy clash would send the user to a random location, Sometimes the user would end up in space, or under ten tons of bedrock, or deep in the ocean.
The FSASCC Scimitar switched to was by far the most powerful cloak Scimitar has ever used. This cloak rendered him completely undetectable by anything besides sensors that detect air density changes. It even blocked sent, even air density changes are somewhat displaced by the cloak, that type of sensor would detect him as a far smaller creature then he actually was.
The cloak Scimitar was using was completely unaffected by water as well, and was agents the honor code to use the full camouflage cloak well on hunting for anything other than food. The cloak also shielded him from life sensing abilities that some sentient specie possessed by physic shielding.
Observers were always given two cloaks the powerful cloak used to watch native sentient species and a standard hunting camouflage cloak.
Scimitar activated his masks computer link up to the scanners in his ship so he could find the person with the most complex form of life energy. Using the IR scan map he had taken of the temple and a crude spirit energy level scan program Scimitar located the person he was after. Scimitar started to move silently to the entrance of the temple.
Scimitar sees humanoids manipulating the vary wind through martial arts movements in the courtyard. He uses his masks special laser site to take a DNA sample form several of them. The analysis of the samples would show that the beings have similar DNAS (the S stands for spirit) structures to that of the Scientists DNA. (What I am having the Yautja call the Engineers.) That means the planets people are classified as humans and most likely a result of convergent evolution since this planet was well out of the range of the Scientists sub light propulsion engines.
The Yautja use dark energy propulsion engines allowing them to greatly surpass the speed of light and thanks to the discovery of the rotation of the universe allowing them to use universal time allowed them to greatly surpass the speed of light without the negative side effects. Dark energy propulsion also effected time differently form that of light and sub light propulsion.
Scimitar also notes that all of the humans he took samples from had XX chromosomes. He would have to send out some sensors to take more samples from the humans. Scimitar carefully avoids the woman as he enters the temple. He also sees that they seem to absorb the elemental energy of wind and only give off a small amount of life energy but the software he was using was not the best to judge. He would have to contact Long Sword to make a better spirit energy app for him.
Ten minutes later Scimitar arrives at the door of the room the energy source was located. He decides to be polite and knocks on the door.
"Come in." An old woman's voice comes from the other side of the door.
Scimitar opens the door well activating his masks translation software.
"Don't be alarmed I am going to shut off my cloaking device in a moment." Scimitar says after shutting the door.
"My appearance may be shocking to you elder." Scimitar warns the old woman before he drops the cloak.
"Could you remove your mask for a moment I would like to see your face? I already know you are not of Midgard and I do not have long before I join the spirit world. Sit and keep me company in my last moments." Yangchen tells the old hunter.
Scimitar could sense the Black Warrior nearby but he knew he was not coming for him this day. Therefore, he pulls the tubes out of his mask and removes it showing Yangchen his face.
"You are not the strangest creature I have ever seen." Yangchen tells scimitar after he places his mask back on.
"Now sit and ask your questions old man." The old avatar says playfully.
Scimitar learned of the balance of the world and the four tribes. She explained how the men who controlled ¾ of the Air Nomads they were getting greedier with each generation. She also explained the how the four elements worked in harmony and the power the avatar possessed. She also explained how the Avatar cannot kill if they can find a better way to end a problem.
In exchange, Scimitar explained about his culture, he explained the code of the hunt that it is fallowed to the letter. He also explained that there is a code of war for times when clans are at war with each other. Yangchen realized that although the hunter's race was that of violence the opposite of her culture the Yautja were one of the honorable people in the universe.
Soon Yangchen's time was almost up.
"Could you hold my hand my time to pass on to the next life is almost here." Yangchen asks the predator.
Scimitar takes the woman's small soft hand in his massive clawed hand and holds it as she closes her eyes and her breathing slows. After her breathing stops, Scimitar sees the woman's spirit separate in two. One shoots north to the new Avatar well other part is Yangchen herself. Scimitar watches as the woman's spirit regains its youth before entering the spirit world.

I have learned that the massive spiritual power was a being called the avatar. The avatar is a being who represents the last bridge between the spirit world and this one. As such, they are blessed and cursed with great power. The responsibility that comes with it is almost more than a person can take. The avatar is reborn in after each death in a cycle the people call the avatar cycle.
I will observe each Avatar during the next cycle. The Black Warrior claimed the Air Avatar's life two days ago so I will observe until the next water Tribe Avatar has been claimed (Korra). For now, I will watch the new water avatar born in the North Pole. I will mostly use probes for now to watch him grow. I will report soon.
I also learned the locales call their planet Midgard. In addition, the air content of this planet is close enough for are race to breath comfortably with proper acclamation to it.

Daddy I made the app you asked me for, it was easy thanks to the data you sent me. You will not be able to interact with the spirit world and energy of Midgard but you will be able to view it clearer now.
Your grandson just finished his first hunt; he managed to bag two serpents.

Scimitar gave the Yautja equivalent of a smile as he read this. As he loaded the new app to his mask, he opened his weapons catalog app on his computer. He selected a nice glaive for his grandson and bought it along with a mask kit for the boy.
The Dark Net was truly the best invention of the Yautja race. Using dark energy to transmit and create a network connecting all the wondering colony ships, personal transports, and drop ships, masks and personal computers to the home world was a stroke of geniuses.

I was forced to kill the Water Avatar a man named Kuruk. Kuruk he went bad blood by attempting to slay a dark spirit named Kho without finding a different solution to free his wife. As with are custom I destroyed his skull to prevent any one calming him as a trophy do to his deplorable act. He was sixty-two Midgard seasons of age.

Avatar Aang disappeared two months ago. Recently all but the woman and children of the Air Nomads were killed in a preventive attack by Fire Lord Sozin. As stated in a previse entry the Air Nomads did support Chin The Conquer and were planning a cue on the world once the new Avatar was fully realized. Threw research I discovered the Air Nomads have been behind every manger conflict since the death of Yangchen. They even instigated the attack by the new Earth King on the colonies a month before the land was to return to the Earth Kingdom.

The air nomad woman and children have settled in many settlements along the Fire Nation either in well-hidden villages or as members of the Fire Nation. The Earth Kingdom is spinning the assault telling all that the air benders were wiped out.
Log entry 230…
A young boy of the Southern Water Tribe discovered me. He seemed to see through the FSASCC. I had saved the boy's mother as indicated in a previous report; a fire nation raider killed the woman this very day. I have decided to take this boy as an apprentice.
His name is Sokka.
I am including a recording of the encounter I had with the boy before asking his father to let me teach him. Should he pass his blooding right I will give him a sub space storage implant to keep are technology from falling into the hands this planets people.
They are not ready as a specie for what we may bring to them. With the danger of having a serpent born from the race as the planetary war the race has been, fighting greatly increased the technological level of the planet. I request the Sealing Virus to keep them from any infection when he may be infected with during space travel. I would like to infect Sokka with it to make it safe for a proper blooding ritual.

I have been testing Sokka's physical abilities well waiting for the virus to arrive and the results were surprising. As you know beings with DNAS sometimes, their energy abilities it falls along elemental lines. This world has four types of elemental energy: water, fire, air, and earth. There are also three tribes that possess water elemental S and two tribes that possess fire elemental S.
Sokka is the only being that scans indicate has all three water S in his DNAS something that his sister does not possess. This has a surprising side effect of granting the boy super human abilities. Sokka possesses abilities that will soon surpass females of are race at the age of nine. This will help him in survive the blooding ritual I have him running agility and strength drills for the moment.

Sokka is extremely afraid of needles. He broke two of my mandibles before I used a dart to knock him out so I could inject him with the sealing virus. Luckily, the virus will make him immune to all diseases in the universe. Especially since, he woke up from a dose of sedative strong enough to knock out a large Yautja male for two hours in about five minutes.
I need to go use the auto medic now.
Log entry 233
Sokka has finished his training with Yautja weapons today. He is un-believably good with are blade weapons and scary good with everything else. He will be going for his blooding hunt in two days. A friend of mine Scarface of the Dark Blade Clan will be taking him with some other un-blooded hunters.
I have had prepared for Sokka two first hunt armors and weapons. One has metal that is able to withstand serpent's blood and the other is just a normal un-blooded hunter's armor. I hope the other hunters do not try to bully the boy or they will be wounded badly since Sokka is a bit stronger than the strongest female Yautja on record.(Sokka on the marvel super human strength chart is a high class 1 meaning he can lift a bit over a ton.) Well Sokka's hide is softer than are hides he is tougher and stronger any Yautja. I have to install the over kill devise into Sokka so if he is infected by a serpent he will be turned to ash after the embryo is implanted.
Log entry 235
The ship Sokka was on was destroyed by unknown means on the proving world he was sent to. I will be temporarily joining the retrieval team leaving in two weeks to see if any live and salvage any remaining technology of the ship. There will be no entries until I return with whatever is left of my apprentice so I can give it to his family.
Log entry 236
Sokka is not only alive but he has keep alive most of the unbloodied youngsters and two seasoned hunters alive including my old friend Scarface. This is thanks to a deal Sokka made with the human colonist of the planet for some of our medical technologies. He also did something unbelievable he signal handedly slayed hundreds of Warrior Serpents (all be it using overloaded power packs to soften up the hive witch took out most of the Drones and Warriors), nine Praetorians, three Queens, a Abomination Queen and an Abomination Empress by himself. Sokka made trophies of the Abominations, Queens, and Praetorians including removing the skins for later use as armor. He is now among the highest ranked hunters in the universe.
In addition, Sokka has been given special access to all Yautja technologies excluding a ship of his own. I will have some company as my Scarface has volunteered to be Sokka's handler. Sokka's race is embroiled in a world war he will be using the War Code instead of the standard Honor Code until the war is over.

Note: I did decide to make Sokka a low-level super human but he is not any ware near as strong as my Thor crossover Sokka. He is a bit like an Alpha Furyan from the Riddick saga in terms of abilities.
