A Spark of Hope

Disclaimer: RWBY is owned by Rooster Teeth and Monty Oum while Masashi Kishimoto owns Naruto. I don't own crap believe it!

AN: Just a small teaser of what I have in writing at the moment since I feel absolutely crappy for not updating this when a lot of people commented, followed, and favorite'd it. Sadly I know that may go up or down but I'd rather come clean now. I'm not going with the solo route or FTDS's route. I'm making it an OC team route mainly because of the lack of source material. Meaning aside from the 13 episode they have I have nothing to work on. With that in mind I created a team of OCs for the sake of expanding the story.

Naruto Uzumaki smiled as he got on board the airship and sat or rather slouched on one of the aircraft's high grade seats. Just what he needed, a relaxing and comfy seat where he could sleep and recover strenuous activities of the previous night. Thought he'd prefer a bed but he'll take what he could.

He yawned slowly falling asleep as he barely listened to the pilot announced that it would take 24 hours to get to Beacon which wasn't really that much of a surprise since the Collector and by extension he, lived several regions away from Beacon Academy which was located in Vale. Not that he was one to complain since more time to get to Bacon… Beacon meant more time for some shut eye.

With one more yawn, the fatigue of his midnight treasure hunt finally caught up to the shinobi. Slowly he closed his eyes and fell into deep sleep completely unaware of the chain of events that will throw his coming day into even more chaos than the day before.

Then again what was the life of one Uzumaki Naruto without chaos?

*Static* The B*Static*

The shattered moon was shinning dimly over the early morning sky. Basking beneath it's mystical red glow was a forest, a large expanse of oak trees and lush green leaves that gave off a peaceful and tranquil ambiance that relaxes once soul. It was a sea of lush green. This forest was an an absolute beauty beauty, one that cannot be easily described without being overly dramatic.

Sadly the beauty the forest was long known for has already been tarnished. It's natural beauty of disrupted when both the Schnee Dust Company and the Blesse Industries invested in the creation of a transportation railway in the midst of the great forest. Spanning several thousands of kilometres this iron rail way was constructed in the forest, destroying and disrupting the natural fauna that existed within the forest's ecosystem for the sake of transporting high amounts of dust from one city to another. The steel train's smoke polluted the forest, its noise scared the animals, its passing brought stress to the land, its creation caused the lives of hundreds of thousands of trees.

It's continued existence was a bastardization towards this forest.

[CHOO CHOO]

Speak of the devil.

The black metallic mammoth was half way along its long trek within the forest, just a few hundred kilometres away from a canyon which was overlooking a long river. A top this canyon was a railway made out of steel and concrete which connected the forest to Vale. If lets say one were to put a bomb in this canyon and detonate it, it would with no doubt cause the train to fall down towards its inevitable destruction in the river that awaited below. However, such an act would be called terrorism but alas the group that resided within this great forest were no terrorists -despite having connections to a certain organization but more on that later. To the eyes of a variety of different people this group was either categorized as outlaws who stalked in the forest by the regular people, bandits who stole and pillage by the ever vigilant police officers, and lastly heroes by both poor and Faunus alike.

[CHOO CHOO]

The metallic mammoth roared once more as it passed by several large Oak trees. If it were a sentient being then it would have in doubt spat out several beautiful curses if it spotted the several entities that were perched atop the large trees a few metres away.

They were Faunus of Shireoak Forest.

High a top the largest oak tree in the forest, a tree which was one of the many which overlooked the path which the train took sat a young woman or rather faunus as evidenced by the two cute animal like ears that were perched a top her magenta coloured two pigtail stylized hair. She has smooth slightly tanned skin, dazzling orange coloured eyes. Aged 17 this young woman had an extremely curvy and bodacious figure, an epitome of sexuality on par with a certain snake mistress that a certain blond shinobi knew. To emphasize on her sexuality she was wearing a warm olive green bra top -which made her rather hefty assets stand out- with the blackened picture of several Convallaria Majalis emblazoned on it, she bared her mid-riff revealing her flat tone stomach to the world. She also wore brown short shorts with with a black belt as well as thigh-high brown boots where the holsters containing her weapons of choice were located. Located on the small of her back was a metallic container which served as a form of a quiver for several dust tipped arrows that she used in combat. Finally to finish her apparel she wore a plain green cloak which covered most of her frame.

"You girl's know the plan." The faunus head as she turned her head to the left, towards another oak tree where two other faunus one smaller than the other -both cloaked in a brown cloak with the hoods up and hiding their faces.

The taller of the two nodded while the shorter one shook her head..

The magenta haired faunus smiled, leave it to the youngest one to forget about the most important of things. "Okay I'll keep it brief and simple. That train contains a shipment of Dust from both Blesse and Schnee and we're going to steal at least two or three cargo train's worth of materials. The others are already in position I just need you two to be there to pick me up at the extraction point. Clear?"

This time both of them nodded.

She grinned. "Okay let make this one a blast since this is our last job before I leave."

"Do you really have to?" asked the smaller of the two.

She smiled rather happily as she adopted her usual persona of cheerful optimism. "Mhm I always wanted to try out my luck as a huntress! Ahhhh the thrill of a good fight against the Grimm it's almost too intoxicating to pass up."

"Why? Don't you feel the thrill anymore during our heists?"

"I still feel it it's just that I really want a change of scenery you know do something more outrageous than pulling of heists. I'm so going to enjoy becoming the most popular girl in school, getting all the hot boys and kicking so much ass!" She said slightly embarrassed to admit of her real reasons of accepting the scholarship since they would never let her hear the end of it. Though being popular and finding a hot guy was also a close second reason.

"Is that really necessary... what will we do without you?" asked the smaller faunus once more, her figure still hidden by her plain cloak.

"Don't worry, L.j." She pointed at their eerily silent taller companion. "Will take care of everyone you know as well as I do that she's capable enough of leading all of you guys."

The younger faunus pouted, her animal ears drooping sadly underneath her hood."I guess its okay... Big sister Lily..."

The orange eyed bandit now known as Lily took several steps towards her younger companion and enveloped the younger girl in a huge hug borderline glomp, uncaring of the fact that they were perched a top a very tall tree, and that it would really hurt if they fell. "Don't worry your big sis will be back soon so make sure you train your butt off so that one day you become as strong and sexy as I am."

"Muuuu big sis is just too big…"

"Just keep drinking your milk Mich."

"Muuu"

[CHOO CHOO]

"Lily..." The soft and calming voice of L.j. cut through Lily's conversation with the younger faunus. "You need to get ready." She said carefully taking note that the train was fast approaching.

Lily released her hold on the Milch. "Yeah yeah yeah I'll handle this L.j..." she muttered as she slightly crouched down the large tree branch where all three of them stood. There was a short moment of tense silence where nothing was heard but the sound of the moving train, anf the light rustling of clothes as Lily reached for her pockets and pulled out a pair of brown gloves which she carefully wore. "You know..." Lily started as she flexed her now gloved fingers.

"What is it Big Sis?" The smaller cloaked faunus Milch asked.

"Why is my cloak green again?"

"We ran out of the regular ones, remember I told you that last night." L.j. answered.

"Must have slipped off my mind because of all the booze."

'More like slipped of your body when you got drunk last night.' The ever silent L.j. thought as she remembered her friend/leader/boss' antics when she gets drunk. Damn girl couldn't keep her clothes on even if you glue it to her body. Why she threw her cloak which was armed with several explosives in a campfire no one will ever know.

"But why'd it have to be green? That's just like painting a large target at me? You know like those street lights. Green means go so it's like go ahead and kill me?"

"You'll manage." L.j deadpanned.

"You damn right I'll manage!" Lily boasted with a large confident smile on her face. "I'll show your asses why I'm the best at what we do!"

"Didn't we have extra red cloaks back in the base?" Milch asked L.j.

"She doesn't need to know that." The taller faunus quickly replied.

"Why?"

"Because It'll make this experience more memorable." L.j. whispered to the girl before turning her attention to her long time friend and then towards the fast approaching train. It was almost time. "Lily take care of yourself okay?"

"Heh you don't need to worry bout me L.j. worry about those poor souls that wil lbe unlucky enoguh to get in between me and mah loot!" The sexy faunus boasted loudly before she descended into a fit of loud laughter. "LJ, Mich you two know what to do right?" She asked once more in between her laughter which was now drowned out by the heavy roaring of the train which was now passing their tree.

"Yes Boss/Big sis."

Lily smiled underneath her cloak "Good, let's get this party started!" the cloaked young woman declared underneath the now orange lit sky as she jumped down the large tree leaving her companions behind. She could feel the strong wind brush against her body as she descended sharply towards the train.

*Static* The Go*Static* *Static*y

There was a young man sitting on a wooden chair inside a white room which was illuminated by a single fluorescent dust powered light bulb that hung in the ceiling. It was an almost stunningly white room vaguely similar to the padded ones of an asylum with exception of a few thing such as: its walls which were made of bricks, two rather plain white chairs-one of which he was sitting on, an equally plain empty white table with several empty bowls on top of it, and lastly a black one way glass window where the image of a young man with unruly brown hair and silver eyes was reflected.

Upon closer inspection of the reflection in the mirror, the young man was wearing a hooded (the hood was down) zip up white jacket with golden lining creating several patterns along: the sleeves, the zip line, and the chest, which contrasted with the lines of grey that went down on his sides, to top things off he was wearing a pair of pants which matched his jacket and a few accessories such as a pair of black fingerless gloves, a silver cross with a red crystal etched within it, and a pair of brown boots.

But it was not the room nor his reflection in the one way mirror that had the majority of the young man's attention since those were just objects that he glanced upon in the side of his vision, rather than that what had most of his attention was a small black bowl that he held in his left hand, a bowl that contained a bundle of wheat noodles, bean sprouts, and slices of chicken, marinated and fried in sweet and tangy sauce. With one fluid movement his right hand holding a fork snapped back from the bowl as he brought forth a forkful of the noodle dish to his mouth.

It was so good.

Tears fell from the side of his eyes as he savoured the taste of the exquisite noodle dish, completely ignorant to the fact that it was just cheap noodles bought from a cheap and crappy restaurant. Not like he would have cared even if he had known since one he was not that picky with food and the other well hunger was without a doubt the best seasoning in the world.

He didn't even noticed that a wrinkly old man with greying black hair wearing a sharp brown suit and a matching neck tie carrying a tablet like device entered the room.

Sitting on the opposite chair from the young lad the old man found himself raising a brow as the young man ignored his existence for the sake of the cheap bowl of noodles. The man sighed, having worked for the police force since he was fifteen and having rose up to a prominent rank inside the station the older man couldn't help but feel that he was getting too old for this shit. Why did one of his most trusted men and interrogator go awol for the day? Now he was left to deal with this young, a young man who somehow unnerved him to no ends.

He cleared his throat hoping it got the attention of the brown haired young man.

He was ignored for the sake of the noodles.

He cleared his throat again, hands moving to the table and lightly tapping on its surface.

Once more the power of the noodles proved to be too much for him.

"Boy." The older man called out, his voice dry and raspy from a hard day of work.

Lucky for him the young man finished eating the noodles before placing the now empty bowl on the table. With a smile on his face the young man sent a thankful smile to the older man. "Thank you for the meal." The young man said happily as he rubbed his belly. "But if it is possible my kind sir, May I have some more?" He asked as he slightly bowed his head.

The police officer looked at the younger man skeptically, his hands pointing on the several empty bowls on the table. "You do know that's already your sixth bowl?"

The younger man chuckled as he scratched the back of his head sheepishly "Oh, I didn't realize that I apologize for being a glutton, it's just sometimes get carried away when I'm hungry."

The older man shook his head, it wasn't like six bowls of crappy noodles would put a dent to their budget but still, the police can't go around feeding several bowls of food to every people they detained. "I'm glad that you like your meal but on to business." The man said as he changed his demeanour to a more professional and even intimidating one. "Well then let's start with something simple. Can you tell me you name?" He asked while opening the table like device in front of him ready to search the police archives for any information regarding the silver eyed young man.

"Ah! I'm sorry it was quite rude of me to eat your food without even introducing myself. My name is Torto Castus." The young man paused as another smile made its way on his face "But you can call me Toc."

"Well then Mr. Toc, do you even know why you're here?" the older man asked as his fingers expertly moved, readily typing the young man's name in the database.

The young man just looked confused as he shook his head. "I'm really sorry sir but I think we have some sort of misunderstanding."

"We'll see about that…" The officer said as the results of his search finally came up. He actually blinked a few times as his eyes darted back and forth from the pad in his hand and the young smiling young man sitting across from him. Despite all his year of experience he couldn't help gulp as he felt a small bead of sweat form and drop from his forehead. "You've had a…" He tried to choose his words carefully. "Very interesting past."

"Ah I'm embarrassed. You could say that those days were not the best times in my life. You could say that it was a legacy of a misspent youth." The silver eyed young man said unintentionally quoting a line from a certain novel he read long ago.

The older policeman sent glare at the boy, it was a glared that would have made hardened criminals flinch but much to his surprise the young wasn't even affected. "Boy be honest to me why were you chasing a little boy around the city? Why did you beat up several members of a prominent street gang, and why the hell were you spotted with a well-known criminal?"

"Will I be free to go after I tell you my story?"

"It depends."

"Well I have a train to catch but if needed, I can take the next one." The younger man took a deep breath. "My side of the story stems from before the chase started. You could say I was in the wrong place at the wrong time or it could be I was in the right place at the right time who knows."

"Get to the story boy and don't bother lying."

"Ah I apologize for that but before I start I'd like to make it clear. I never tell a lie." Toc chuckled sheepishly. "Well it all started when I saw the boy snatch a purse from this young lady. Having witnessed the act I offered to retrieve the stolen purse and." He chuckled again. "That's where this story started."

-A Spark of Hope-

*Static*The Pr*Static*?

A large television was stood within a darkened bed room of a well furnished and high class penthouse suite of a certain hotel.

The tv flickered within the darkness as it showed the image of an old man wearing a sharp suit. The man was around his fifties, surprisingly muscular for his age, as his greying black hair and small creases upon his face were the only signs of time taking its toll upon his body.

The old man stood a top a podium, a large emblem of a burning flame plastered behind him, while the media stood in front of him, no doubt a press conference of some sort. "Good evening citizen of the world." A deep and powerful baritone radiated from the man as he opened his mouth. "To those that do not know me, I am Zeitlos Blesse. The Eternal Blaze that keeps the world's foremost weapon manufacturer, the Blesse Industries running. To those who does know me then you know not to mess with me! My power is eternal much like my flames!"

The man let out a string of deep laughter that clearly unnerved the various interviewers. "White Fang? The Crime Syndicates? If you foolish animals and plebeians think that you can threaten my company with your blatant attacks to our labs then you are grossly mistaken. Your groups are but ants trying to rouse a sleeping Dragon."

The old man smashed his fist upon the table in the podium. "I dare you! Attack us if you wish, but know that our flames will devour your very existence! The strong shall live and the weak shall die! Know full well that we are Strong! That we are all mighty! That we represent power! Our flames shall burn eternally and bring forth not only the annihilation of your puny groups but also a better and brighter future for all that stand with us! Down with White Fang! Down with the The Crime Syndicates! All Hail Power! All Hail Blesse!" Zeitlos Blesse shouted out with so much charisma that the entirety of the press conference descended into stunned silence before they broke out in clapping and cheering for the man's words.

The head of the Blesse Industries opened his mouth once more in order to let loose another string of speeches but his words were drowned out by the sounds of pitter and pattering that came from the bathroom adjacent to the darkened room.

Underneath the warm flow of the shower a young woman with short black hair stood, her eyes closed as she allowed the water to whisk against her face, her flawless pale skin white skin embraced by the warm steam produced by the hot shower.

She placed her hand upon the dial of the shower, shifting the temperature to allow mind numbing cold water to replaced the comfortable warm spray. Her body shivered, as cold water cascaded down her lithe body, tiny droplets falling upon her curves, her small bussom, flat and toned stomach, along with her long legs.

Through it all the young woman kept her eyes closed, basking in the cold comfort brought about by her memories amidst the darkness.

She remembered a time when all was simple, her father was smiling as he worked, her mother was smiling as she watched over the family, her brother was smiling as he stood by her side and taught her how to write and fight. Those were the days when everyone was happy, the flames of their family burned brightly, there was no need to look at the darkness for comfort.

Where did it all go wrong?

It may have all started when mother died, ever since then nothing was the same. The warm comfortable fire was extinguished. her father grew cold, her brother grew distant. Their family changed. There was no room for weakness in her family, emotions were weakness, love was weakness, to be a woman was to be weak, and weakness is not tolerated. To be a Blesse is to be strong, to be nothing short of perfect. It was a mantra that was forced unto her by her father, a mantra that she repeated in her head daily.

The sounds of a phone ringing coming from outside of the shower room snapped her out of her reverie bringing her back to reality. Beautiful onyx coloured orbs slowly appeared as she opened her eyes while her body was shivering due to the cold water that clashed against her frame.

Reaching for the dial once more, she pressed but a single button to stop the water from flowing out the contraption. She quickly grabbed two towels and dried her self off as she walked out of the bathroom not really caring about modesty as she knew full well that she was the only living being in the whole floor.

She walked across the room a towel draped around her head with tiny droplets of water still falling from her lithe body as she made her way towards her ringing phone. However before she could even reached the phone, the young woman was forced to steady herself as the room started shaking."Huh... I wonder what that was about." She said in a rather flat and emotionless tone as she continued drying her hair. Though this time she didn't go for the phone which laid a top a dresser instead she opted to go towards the lone bed in the room where a fresh set of clothes awaited.

Wasting no time the young woman tossed her we towel aside anf then meticulously put on a pair of white panties, which was soon followed by a pair of black slacks, black socks, and lastly a pair of high quality leather shoes. Turning her attention towards her naked upper body the ravenette placed her hand on a long strip of white cloth, a sarashi which she quickly used to wrap and hide her breasts. This action was soon followed by her wearing a long sleeved white button up shirt which was topped by a long sleeved black jacket with the insignia of a blazing flame on it's back.

With a few steps the young woman walked towards a nearby mirror, placed on the side of the room. Taking one glance she saw not the image of a young woman standing in the mirror but rather she saw that of a young man looking back at her. To be likened to a woman is to be seen as weak, and weakness is not tolerated in her family.

The young woman sighed as she turned away from the mirror.

The moment she walked out of this room Noire Blesse would once again remain in incognito within the shadows, while in her place Noir E. Blesse the loyal son of the Eternal Blaze shall grace the world.

With light and graceful footsteps she walked towards the dresser where her phone was located. Paying half attention to the still opened television which showed a news report.

"This is Lisa Lavender reporting, the president of Blesse Industries Zeitlos Blesse has agreed to a joint project with the Schnee Dust Company to develop an Anti-Grimm Weapon. The president's son and heir to the Blesse Industries Schatten Blesse is set to meet with…" The reporter suddenly stopped, her eyes widened as a piece of paper was given to her by one of the staff in the station. "Breaking news! The Han Dynasty Hotel has been taken over by the Xiongnu Crime Syndicate. It is unclear why they are doing this but it is possibly connected with the rumours that the second son of Zeitlos Blesse, Noir E. Blesse is staying at said hotel."

"So that was what the shaking was about." The ravenette said as she reached for the remote and closed the the TV before picking up her phone and answering an incoming call.

"Hello?"
