Castiel woke up, blinking wearily. He sat up, and clenched at his chest, the pain spreading already. He laid back down, trying not to breathe too hard, then slowly pulled off his covers and got up. Castiel winced as he took off his clothes and got into the shower. He turned on the cold water, letting it open his eyes and wake him up. He sat down, and leaned back so that the water hit his face. He sat there for a while, then turned it off and got out, wrapping a towel around his waist and walking over to the sink to brush his teeth. The boy looked in the mirror and frowned. He had four purplish red marks one below each eye, and one on his nose. Sighing, he went back to his room to put on his clothes a baggy sweatshirt and jeans. He pulled them on then limped out, going to Anna's door. He knocked a couple of times then stood back. The door opened and her head poked out, red hair falling to the side.
"Castiel! Oh my god, Gabe told me everything. Are you okay?" she opened the door wide open and gently hugged him.
"I'm... alright." he lied. Not that she could tell. "I was wondering.. if I could borrow some of your makeup for the bruises." he asked, looking down at his feet.
"Of course. Here, come in. I'll help you put it on this time so you don't look orange in one spot again." she smiled lightly and led him in, sitting him down on the bed. She went to her bathroom, and came back with a small tube of the makeup and a compact... something."Okay. Sit still. I'm sorry if it hurts."
"It's okay." She put a little bit of the liquid on her finger, then rubbed it between her two indexes. She tilted his face up, and dabbed his nose lightly. He closed his eyes, trying not to wince at the pain, but apparently failing.
"Sorry sorry sorry..." she mumbled. She took a squishy soft thing and rubbed it. "Sooorrrryyyy," she said again. "Okay its rubbed in but I'm going to put a little powder on it. It won't hurt, but keep your eyes shut, okay?" he heard her open the makeup.
"Okay." he obeyed. A brush fluttered about his face, and then moved away. He coughed, then grabbed his chest. It hurt.
"Sorry, Cassie. You can go if you want now." He nodded, then looked her in the eye.
"Thank you, Anna." Castiel gave a light smile, and Anna returned it.
"Anytime."
Castiel left the room, stopping at the mirror in the hallway. He touched his cheek lightly. The marks were pretty much gone. Anna had done a good job. He hobbled down the stairs, and sat down on the couch, waiting for the others. 5 minutes later, Gabriel and Anna were downstairs. "Where's Balthazar?" Castiel asked, looked at them.
"He left- like 15 minutes ago. Something about a girl or whatever." Gabriel said, slinging his backpack over his shoulder and grabbing Castiel's for him. Anna shook her head and sighed.
"Poor girl. When will they learn?" she said. Gabe chuckled. With that they left the house, getting in Gabriel's car and driving off to school.
Dean Winchester got out of his beloved impala with his little brother Sam. He slung his backpack over his shoulder, and an arm around Sam. Well. As best as he could do with his brother being the Sasquatch he was.
"You got anything going on today, Sammyboy?" Sam looked down at Dean, bitch-face-ing at the childish nickname. Dean smirked.
"Not really. Just a make-up english quiz. What about you?" Sam asked, ducking under his brother's arm so that he wasn't pulling him sideways and down anymore.
"Nothing. Practice was canceled because of the weather." they looked up at the gray
A.N: is it grey? i can't fucking tell sometimes.))
sky, and Sam shivered a bit at the gust of wind that blew over them. Dean just shrugged it off. He didn't get cold (easily).
"So you can take me home at a normal time today, right?" Sam asked. Dean nodded and looked around for a meet-up place.
"Yeah, of course. Meet me at-" he stopped, voice trapped in his throat when he saw a certain boy with blue eyes walking- well, limping towards the school. A redheaded girl and a brunette boy were on his arms, helping him out. Sam cleared his throat.
"Dean." Dean tore his eyes away from the boy and looked at Sam.
"Hm?"
"I'll meet you where again?" his brother's voice had a hint of amusement behind it, and he was wearing a smirk.
"Ri-right. Um, yeah just meet me at the bleachers. I gotta ask the coach about when practice starts up again." Sam nodded, then peered over Dean's shoulder. "What?" Dean asked. He turned around and staggered backwards into his brother when a pair of big cerulean eyes appeared in front of him.
"I'm sorry, Dean. It was not my intention to startle you." Castiel looked at his feet. Memories from the day before flooded Dean's mind. He had found some douchebag beating up Castiel and when Dean ran over, the kid had let go and scrambled away. Castiel was bleeding, bruised, and unconscious. Dean had called 911, then carried the boy bridal style to the sidewalk. He went with him to the hospital, and waited for him to wake up.
"That's alright." Dean cleared his throat and recomposed himself. Sam bit his lip, trying not to laugh.
"Dean, I wanted to thank you for helping Cassie here out yesterday. It was really noble of you. He thanks you. So does Anna- oh, and I'm Gabriel." The brunette stuck out his hand, and Dean shook it. Castiel blushed a little, and Anna gave a small wave.
"No problem. Glad I could help." Dean smiled, thinking to himself as Castiel blushed, that he in fact liked making Castiel blush. Then shaking the thought away because where the hell did that come from?! "Y- you look better. Do you feel better?" Dean asked Castiel, who looked as if he had no marks on him... like they disappeared.
"Thank you. And yes, I do." he looked up at Dean, who felt himself becoming lost in the insanely blue eyes. They were brought back to reality when Anna, Gabriel, and Sam all cleared their throats. Castiel blushed even more, and Dean even had a little sprinkle of pink across his freckled cheeks.
"I'll We- We'll see you guys later." Dean stuttered, turning around and pulling Sam alongside him.
"You okay there, King's Speech?" Sam teased, leaning into him. Dean promptly punched Sam in the shoulder.
"Shut up, bitch."
"Jerk."
I don't actually have an excuse for this being late and for that I am really sorry
