Hey! So sorry, really really. Since I didn't write for *hic* 9 months… I'm really lazy…
So this is just supposed to be a filler. Sorry for its shortness. But I really don't know who I'm apologizing to since I'm absolutely (positively) certain no one's reading this after the break I took.
Sorry again.
A request
"Hikaru" Kaoru said.
"Hmm?"
"Did you read this e-mail from milord?" Kaoru asked, pushing his laptop away. It was the invitation to the reunion.
"Yeah" was all Hikaru said. He was immersed in a magazine. He made a face of utter contempt and threw the magazine away. "Do you know what those idiots make people wear now? They don't have a taste for art!"
He pointed out a picture to Kaoru in the magazine. It was of a model wearing a dress that had the figure of a skeleton drawn upon it.
"Well, if it's made by a famous artist, people consider it to be 'art'." Kaoru said, and suddenly smiled in a mysterious way.
"Did you see this picture?" He showed a photo on his laptop. Hikaru looked. It was of Kyouya's with a blonde girl.
"How can you think I would miss that?" Hikaru said. "It was and is an eye-opener."
"Yeah." Kaoru smiled. "It seems the demon has a human heart after all."
Silence fell upon the room.
Kaoru commenced to write a reply to Tamaki's invitation and Hikaru immersed himself into the magazine that he claimed would give him a heart attack.
Kaoru was typing on his laptop, but his mind was far away. Hikaru sensed that, but also sensed that Kaoru would tell him if he wanted to.
"Say, Hikaru."
Hikaru looked up. Kaoru was looking at him with a forlorn expression. "It seems everyone is getting on with their lives, isn't it?"
Hikaru was at a loss for words.
"What?"
"I mean" continued Kaoru, "everyone we know, our friends, are all moving up to the next level."
"So?" Hikaru did not like where this was leading.
"So," Kaoru hesitated. "When do you think you'll exactly be over Haruhi?"
Hikaru grew angry. Not this again.
"But I am over Haruhi, I told you that a million times!" He was exasperated. "I knew it the moment I saw Haruhi was in love, and I knew it wasn't with me!"
Kaoru didn't say anything.
Hikaru ignored him, and continued devouring the magazine.
Suddenly a phone started ringing. Sighing, Kaoru pushed away his laptop and picked up the phone.
Kyouya.
"So…" Kaoru was ready to goad him for information.
"Before you say anything, I need you to see this."
"What?" Hikaru looked up. His brother's voice sounded surprised for a change.
"I assumed you already read that email from Tamaki," a pause, "So I know that you will be absolutely disappointed when I say this."
What the hell?
"Look Kyouya-sempai, we are not sentimental beings. So if you're not attending…"
"Of course I'll be attending. I have to take care of a few things in Ouran. Why would I even wonder on the heartlessness of you both? No, that's beside the point, I…"
"Why are you talking like that? It's not like you to talk like that. You're calm and collected. Why are you in a hurry? Why…"
"Will you or will you not listen to me?" The devil had returned, with his sinister voice. Kaoru smirked. That's more like it.
"Go on."
"Thank you," a pause, "So, I know the entire host club will be there, and I was wondering…"
"Yes?"
"Stop interrupting."
"Sorry, go on."
An exasperated sigh. "I was wondering if I you would help in a small business-related purpose. Normally I wouldn't have to do this but," a long pause, "It involves a girl, and I know between you two and Tamaki, who's the better one to ask."
Needless to say, the smirk on Kaoru's face had just turned into a Cheshire grin.
Author's note:
So comment, if a soul out there's reading this. And was it nice? I promise to update more. But my exams are coming up so…
I know. I'm a gal who didn't post for nine months and when she finally does post, it's just before her exams. I know I'm going to end up a dumb ass idiot when I grow up…
Auf Wiedersehen.
