Chapter 26: Blaze's New Life
Blaze widened her eyes along with Silver. The female Zeti opened her mouth to speak, but nothing came out. She swallowed and finally spoke. "How can that even be possible? Silver is from two hundred years in the future from now."
"It was a theory I came up with. Because you and Zonic turned away from each other in the Sol Dimension, he disappeared. Now that you've confessed your love to each other, he's here again."
Blaze was still in shock. One of her friends...was her own son in the future. She grabbed her head; it was spinning out of control from this info.
Zonic was shocked as well. "How can that be?" He asked.
Zavok shrugged, looking at Silver for an explanation. The while Zeti gulped, then thought about it and spoke. "I...I'm not sure," he said. "It would make sense, though. Perhaps I got transformed into a hedgehog somehow and was transported into the future."
Zonic and Blaze were shocked about this, but Blaze was the most affected.
She still had her hand on her head. She couldn't believe this. Her friend from the future all along had been hers and Zonic's son. "I...I can't believe this."
"Me neither..." Zonic said, shocked. They looked at Silver...their son. Silver was just as shocked as they were, and gulped nervously. What were they going to do now?
Silver twitched nervously, he thought it he went back to his own time as he didn't belong here. Who knows what would happen if he stayed here before he was born. Even if it was true he couldn't stay here...it wasn't his time. Zonic and Blaze would have him later and they would find out how he got sent to the future and maybe find out how to stop it. But if they did that then none of this would have happened a time paradox may occur.
"What should we do?" He asked Blaze. "Should I go back to the future, or stay here?"
Blaze was still in shock, her mind was whirling and she shook her and spoke, "Well, if it is true ... we don't know will happen if you stay here. A paradox or something may happen if stay here for to long."
Silver hesitated and looked down at his new form. He was a Zeti now and wanted to stay here with his parents. He groaned; this was very confusing. But he knew he had to leave. It wasn't the correct time period to be here. His parents weren't even the right age to look after him; they were still teenagers, around his age. He had to leave and see what their choices later would be.
A tear fell down his face and he smiled. "I have to go back to the future," he said. "I'm sorry."
Blaze and Zonic were in shock as a portal appeared behind him and he went into it. Blaze continued to rub her head, trying to make sense of it all.
She sniffed and looked at Zonic, trying to process it all. Zonic was still shocked but had accepted it to be true. He hesitated; the blue Zeti still felt angry, and would most likely be so all his life. Blaze looked at him in concern.
"Are you okay, Zonic?" she asked in concern.
"Yeah...why do you ask?" He asked her, anger in his tone.
Blaze looked at him in worry, "You just looked angry."
"I am angry, Blaze. I've always been feeling angry."
"I can see that, but...why?" she asked him with concern in her voice.
Zonic looked at her. "Why do you think?"
She stiffened and sighed, "I'm only asking and trying to help, is all." The dark blue Zeti growled in anger and looked away. She nodded and this and sighed, "Okay then."
Zavok looked at them. He knew that his son was angry but he didn't want his life to be filled with hate. However, he couldn't do anything. The Zeti leader sighed and then walked away with the others, leaving Zonic and Blaze alone.
Blaze looked at Zonic with concern in gold-yellow eyes. "Zonic, I only want to help you. I don't want you be angry all your life like I once was."
"I'll be fine, Blaze!" He shouted.
She flinched and stepped away from from him, "From my point of view you don't look like you will." Zonic shrugged and looked at her. She walked up to him, putting an arm on his shoulder and looked at him in concern. "You need to calm down. You don't have to be angry; not anymore," she told him.
He glared at her and shook his head. "Blaze, I can't. I've been angry for so long it's become a permanent emotion."
She looked at him and sighed, "But maybe through the time that we're together that might help calm you down."
Zonic shrugged and glanced at her. His old personality was gone forever, and the new one had taken his place. Zonic was a Zeti, now and forever. He had accepted his new life. But one part of his old personality that he knew he could never get rid of and that was his love for Blaze. He looked at her and smiled, then kissed her. "I may be angry all the time from now on and my old personality may be gone, but there's one thing that hasn't changed, and that's my love towards you."
Blaze was surprised at this and smiled at him, "That's sweet, Zonic."
Zonic nodded. He looked around Lost Hex and then sighed, heading back to the cave. Blaze smiled and followed him, ready to begin her new life with him. She looked at him as they went back to the cave, "Zonic...why do you keep coming back here? I know this is where you were born, but why do like coming here so much?"
"Because...it's home," he said. "I don't know how to explain it."
Blaze nodded at this as she looked at him, "I guess I felt the same way when I didn't want to leave the Sol Dimension. That's my home."
The Zeti looked at her hesitantly. He smiled half-heartedly and Blaze saw this. "You're smiling?" She smiled too. "That's a nice change."
Zonic hesitated and frowned again, turning away. Blaze sighed and walked up to him.
"Come on, Zonic. You can't be angry all your life. You have to take this note from me. I lived in anger for most of my life before I met you and you ... made me see how the world could be," she explained to him.
The Zeti thought about it. He looked at Blaze, tears in his eyes, and hugged her. Blaze was shocked at the sudden hug, but smiled and hugged him back. She didn't want this feeling to go away.
Zonic hesitated. "Hey, Blaze...now that you're a Zeti, your name has to begin with 'Z', so we need to change your name to...Zlaze. Are you okay with that?"
Blaze got out of the hug and lowered her eyebrows. "Sure, ruin the moment," she said, sarcastically with a smile.
The Zeti saw this and nodded. "Very well...Zlaze."
She lifted a brow and nodded, "You know I was kidding, right? About ruining the moment."
"Yeah, I do."
She smiled and nodded, "That's good."
Zonic hesitated and hugged Zlaze once more. He finally had her back.
