Chapter 27: Visiting Cream

Zlaze was in shock once more, but she didn't care. She wrapped her arms around him and hugged him back. She hasn't felt so happy or cared for in a long time. Zonic looked at her lovingly. Then, he thought of something.

"Would you like to go back to the Sol Dimension? We could visit Cream."

Zlaze looked at him and wide smile spread across her face. "Yes! Yes! I'd love to see, Cream!" She then, looked down. "She's been feeling really depressed since what happened to Earth."

"Then we'll do that." He took a Chaos Emerald out of his quill-like hair and held it up. "Chaos Control!" He shouted, and they vanished in a flash of light. They reappeared in the Sol Kingdom and looked around at the wreckage although it was beginning to be rebuilt by the castle workers, but Zlaze felt guilty for not helping.

Zlaze pointed at the castle. "I let her and Vanilla stay at the castle."

Zonic nodded, and they headed towards the castle. Once they got there, Zlaze looked around for Vanilla and saw her. Zlaze smiled and began to walk over to her, but was stopped when two spears were put in front of her. She was in shock and looked at the spears before she looked up at the guards. Zonic came up beside her and saw the spears blocking them from passing and he began to get mad, but Zlaze put her hand in front of him.

"Don't," she said. He looked at her and nodded, then let her speak. "I know you may not recognize me, but it me. Princess Blaze," she told them. The guards looked skeptical and she rolled her eyes as she folded her arms.

"It's true," Zonic said. "She is the princess, just in a different form."

The guards looked at her, then nodded and allowed them to pass. Zlaze blinked and walked past them with Zonic. "I didn't think they'd actually believe me."

Zonic shrugged and walked further into the castle. They saw Vanilla and called out to her, who looked at them. Her eyes widened in shock.

"Vanilla!" Zlaze smiled. "I'm so glad to see you!"

Vanilla looked at her. "Who are you?" She asked in confusion, and looked at Zonic as well.

"It's me, Sonic...except I go by Zonic now," he said. "This is Blaze, now Zlaze."

Blaze explained what happened to her. "I was teleported to The Lost Hex by..." she looked at Zonic, questionably. She didn't know the name of the Zeti who summoned her to Lost Hex.

"My father, Zavok," Zonic told her.

"Right, Zavok. He teleported me there, because Zonic was feeling down and angry and I guess he thought I could help. As well as...we love each other. After that we ...had a little fight and then we made up again. We met up with the other Zeti and asked them if you and the others could live on Lost Hex." She looked down. "Their answer was 'no'. I got angry, but calmed down a bit after and then Zavok turned me into a Zeti as well."

Vanilla's eyes widened in shocked. "What?" She asked.

Zlaze nodded at her, "Yeah, so we came here to visit. I really want to you and Cream."

"Oh, I see. That was nice of you two. Cream is in her room if you want to see her."

Zonic and Zlaze smiled and followed Vanilla. Vanilla looked down as they went up done stairs and came to a door. Zlaze looked at it in worry and then at Vanilla, who was staring at her hands.

"I'll explain what happened," she said, and opened the door. Cream looked up and saw the enter.

"What is it, Mother?" Cream asked. Her voice sounded down and depressed and it made Zlaze sad seeing her friend like this.

"Some old friends are here to see you," she said. "Sonic and Blaze."

Zlaze and Zonic entered and smiled at Cream.

Cream looked at them, but didn't smile back. "They aren't Sonic and Blaze. Sonic is a hedgehog and Blaze is a cat." Her voice still held that down tone to it and Zonic felt a little guilty now. She was only six years old...she didn't need to suffer like they did.

"We should leave," Zonic said. "I'll be waiting outside."

He turned and left the room. Zlaze grabbed his arm and he looked at her. "You need to talk to her as much as I do. She needs to know it's us. You don't know how much she misses you." Zonic glared at her in anger and broke out of her grip, then ran out of the castle. Zlaze sighed and looked at Vanilla and Cream.

"Well, I guess you'll just be talking to me then," Zlaze said. Cream blinked, still not showing any sign of showing an emotion.

Vanilla sat down beside Cream. "Honey, Blaze is here, just in a different form. Don't you want to talk to her?"

Cream shook her head.

Zlaze felt a little offended at that, but knew the six year old had been through a lot lately; including losing her best friend and home planet. She looked at Cream in concern as she approached the bed. "How come?"

Cream hesitated and told her. "I just don't feel like it, especially after everything that's happened," she said, still unemotionally. Zlaze really felt concerned for her friend now.

She groaned and nodded, then turned and left. Zonic looked at her. "Cream didn't want to talk. She said it was because of everything that's happened. She usually always wants to talk to me." Zlaze looked down. "She become something she isn't after Earth was destroyed."

Zonic growled in anger. He took out the Chaos Emerald and they teleported back to Lost Hex.
