Sorry this took so long to update, dealing with my mother's death has been difficult and I lost that creative muse for a bit, I didn't even touch my computer until after her funeral on Monday morning, but thank you so much for sticking by this story, and me as an author, I truly appreciate every single one of you. So, without further ado... Chapter 25...

Olivia lay on the couch in the living room. She was cuddled under a blanket watching an old episode of Pit Bulls and Parolees. They were having a marathon on. Brandy, who had grown a bit, was lying on the floor. Olivia reached down and scratched behind her ear. She heard the door open and heard Brian's voice. She smiled. "I'm in the living room, baby."

He walked into the living room and leaned over the couch, kissing her gently. "Hello there, beautiful."

She smiled and looked up at him. "Hi." She pulled him into another kiss, holding it for a little while longer. "How was work?"

Brian walked around the couch, lifting her legs up and sitting down, bringing her legs down to rest across his lap. "Wonderful. Put my last day in at the courthouse."

Olivia furrowed her brow. "You getting transferred again?"

He shrugged. "You could say that." He saw her looking at him and he kissed her again. "Say hello to Detective Cassidy," he whispered against her lips.

She gasped and looked at him. "Tucker gave you your shield back?" She saw him nod and she threw her arms around him and kissed him passionately. She bit on his bottom lip and gently pulled back. "You have no idea how mad I am that we aren't allowed to have sex right now."

He smiled and looked into her eyes. "Oh, I think I know. But Dr. Tessler never said anything about making out. We can do that all we want."

"But that leads to other things we're not allowed to do," she whispered feeling his lips press against hers again, letting out a moan into the kiss.

"Self-control, sweetheart," he whispered against her lips. He lay on top of her gently as they kissed. Her arms were wrapped around him.

She broke the kiss and gasped, feeling him start to kiss her neck. "You're going to get us in trouble," she said in a low voice.

He kissed up to her lips and looked into her eyes. "I can't stop kissing you," he whispered before kissing her again.

She giggled and mumbled against his lips. "I know." She gently bit his bottom lip she gripped his shoulders and groaned into the kiss. She felt his hands start to roam her body and she broke the kiss. "You're going to torture me, aren't you?"

He smirked. "It's really torture for the both of us."

She smiled. "You can do something about it. I can't. An orgasm could send me into early labor."

He kissed her gently. "Just think how good that first orgasm is going to be after Charlie is born, baby."

She smiled and gently caressed his face. "It's going to be hard, not getting to feel you inside me, touching me. I think if she told me I couldn't kiss you I'd have lost it." She kissed him gently.

He smiled and kissed her forehead. "It's going to be so worth it all when we're holding our healthy little baby girl in our arms."

She smiled and pushed him up a little bit and sat up. "I'm still terrified," she whispered. "Being a mom, it's scary. What if I do turn out to be just like my mom?" She shook her head, taking a deep breath.

"You're already a mom, and you're incredible at it. If you weren't, Calvin never would have come back to you when things went downhill."

"He's twelve, Bri. I've never taken care of a baby before, not for an extended period of time anyway."

"Liv, honey, you're going to be an incredible mom. We're both going to have things that we're not going to know, but we'll figure it out." He pulled her into a hug. "Together," he whispered.

She smiled and looked into his eyes, relaxing a little. She snuggled into him, and closed her eyes. "Thank you," she whispered. He kissed the top of her head and gently ran his hands through her hair. "Which unit did they put you in?"

He looked down at her and smiled. "Put me back in Narcotics." She looked up at him, worry in her eyes. "I know, but I promise, if I can avoid it, I won't go undercover for more than a day."

She took a deep breath and nodded, hugging him tight. "When do you start?"

"They gave me a week off. Then when the baby comes the captain said they'd give me my six weeks family leave."

She smiled softly. "I'm even more scared now," she whispered.

"They aren't going to put me under. I'm going right back to where I was before I started working Public Integrity. It's the same Captain, same people, okay. I know all I need to know, and I've already spoken to the captain, I told him that I can't go deep undercover. I have a family now. Who knows, maybe I'll only last a few months before I wind up somewhere like Homicide or Major Case."

She nodded and rested her head on his chest. "Just promise me you'll come home."

He closed his eyes and held her tight. "I promise."

She closed her eyes and felt his hand on her stomach. She smiled and looked up at him and kissed him gently, feeling Charlie kick in her belly.

He broke the kiss and smiled. "She's kicking."

Olivia nodded. "I think it's because every time I kiss you my heart flutters."

He smiled and gently touched her face. "I love you."

She smiled and nuzzled into his hand. "I love you too." She kissed him softly and felt his hand run through her hair and rest on the back of her head. She let out a gentle moan.

Calvin walked in. "Oh, guys, really?"

Brian broke the kiss; Olivia rested her head on his chest and giggled. "Sorry, kiddo; how was school?" Brian asked.

Calvin put his backpack down and walked into the living room, sitting next to his parents on the couch. "Long. I'm glad it's Friday though, two days with no school."

Olivia smiled. "I think we may be able to have your room painted by Monday so you can start decorating it."

Brian smiled and looked at Calvin. "You and I might be able to get yours and Charlie's rooms painted if we work together."

"I'd help but I'm not allowed," Olivia groaned.

"Mom, you get to lie around and watch TV until the baby is born. I'd love that."

Olivia smiled. "I can't lie around and watch TV for a couple days when I'm getting over the flu. I have to lie around and do nothing for three months. I'm going to go crazy."

"Crazier." Brian joked.

She rolled her eyes and gently smacked his arm. "Ass."

"Hey, it's what I love about you."

She smiled and rested her head back on his chest. "I just want to help," she pouted. "I can't even make dinner for you two who are working so hard to get things done."

"Mom, just worry about making sure Charlie is okay, we can worry about everything else."

Olivia smiled and looked over at Calvin. "You're an incredible son, and you're going to make an incredible big brother."

Olivia shot up on the bed, gasping, covered in a cold sweat. Tears were streaming down her face and she looked next to her. Brian was still asleep. She took a deep breath and padded to the master bathroom and splashed some cold water on her face. "Damn it," she whispered. She clutched the counter, feeling her hands shaking. She'd had another nightmare. She hadn't had one in months, but once in a while they slipped in. She rested her hand on the scars on her breast over her shirt. She walked back into the bedroom and saw Brian sitting up.

"Hey, you okay?"

She smiled gently and nodded. "Yeah, just…"

"Nightmare?"

"How did you know?"

"Your voice, come here, I'll hold you."

She walked back over to the bed and crawled in, feeling his arms around her. She smiled and rested her head on his chest, listening to his heartbeat. "Sorry I woke you," she whispered.

"You know you can always wake me up if you need me."

"I know, but I feel bad. You spent all night with Calvin painting. I know you were exhausted when you came to bed."

"Hey, you're more important to me than a little sleep."

She smiled and placed a chaste kiss on his chest then looked up at him. "I love you." She kissed him gently.

He kissed her back and held her close. He broke the kiss and rested his forehead against hers. "I love you, too." She smiled and kissed him again, pulling back before it could get too heated. "We should have Calvin's room done tomorrow, then we can start on Charlie's room," he whispered and rested his hand on her stomach.

"The two of you are incredible. I just wish I could help, do something you know?"

"I know how crazy this is driving you, but just think how amazing it will feel to hold our baby in your arms after she's born."

"That's the only thing getting me through the bed rest, and the no sex." She chuckled. "But I'm telling you now, I go one day past my due date and you and I are getting freaky."

He kissed her gently. "You got it, Pancakes."

"We should get some sleep, you have a long day of painting tomorrow, and I have a long day of reading to our baby and polluting her brain with TV along the lines of Pit Bulls and Parolees and Modern Family."

"Not to mention if we continue kissing like we are we're going to wind up in trouble."

She giggled and rested her head on his chest, slinging her arm over his body and nuzzled into him. "Goodnight."

He gently ran his hand through her hair. "Goodnight, baby," he whispered.

Olivia woke up the next morning, seeing Brian still sleeping. She slid out of his arms and went to the bathroom. "Seriously, Charlie, Mommy's bladder is not a soccer ball." She came back into the bedroom, seeing Brian still asleep. She smiled and climbed back into bed, getting back under the blankets and grabbing one of the books she liked to read to their little girl. She read to the baby quietly, gently rubbing her belly.

Brian heard her reading and he smiled, his eyes still closed. When she finished he spoke gently, groggily. "Read another."

She looked over at him and smiled. "I'm sorry; I didn't mean to wake you. Go back to sleep, Bri."

He opened his eyes and rolled onto his side, rubbing her belly, feeling Charlie kick. "But I love hearing you read to our daughter." He took her hand and brought it to his lips, kissing it gently.

She smiled. "You need your rest, love."

He sat himself up and leaned over, kissing her gently, caressing her face, letting her fingers tangle in her hair. He heard her moan and he smiled, gently nipping at her lower lip. Her hand moved to the back of his head as their kiss continued. He broke the kiss, feeling himself getting hard. "Liv, God, baby, you're so sexy."

She kissed him again, only to have him pull back. "What's wrong, Bri?" she asked gently, her breath heavy.

"I want you so bad, baby. I need you." She took a deep breath and thought for a second. She kissed him again; he pulled away, but felt her lips on his neck. "Baby, we can't."

She looked into his eyes. "I know, but no one said you can't," she whispered.

"You don't have to do that. It isn't fair to you."

"Hey, I want to. It's the only thing I can do. Please?"

He looked in her eyes, seeing nothing but sincerity. He pulled her into a kiss and bit her bottom lip again. She smiled and let her hand slide down his body, under the blankets. She slid her hands into his pants and took him in her hand and started stroking him. He moaned and gripped her hair.

She smiled and broke the kiss. "So hard," she whispered, moving her hand over his length. She kissed his neck and gently bit his skin. She heard him groan a little louder and she covered his mouth with her other hand. "Shh, or I'll have to stop."

He gently bit the skin of her palm before she moved it. "Liv, you don't know how good that feels." He let his head fall back and opened his mouth slightly, letting out a breath.

"I can make it better." She smirked and threw the covers back, pulling his pants and boxers down, taking him into her mouth. She heard him groan and felt his fingers in her hair. She smiled and looked up at him, relaxing her throat and taking him in his entirety into her mouth. He groaned and bucked his hips. She moved back a little and she smiled. She used her hands and her tongue, hearing him moaning her name, begging her not to stop, tugging gently on her hair. She felt him tighten his grasp on her hair, and she knew he was close. She started playing with his balls in her hand and he gasped.

"Shit, Liv. Mmhm."

"Come on baby, let go," she said in a playful, coy voice. "Let me taste you."

He groaned and shot off into her mouth. Once she swallowed she kissed up to his lips, licking her own before kissing him passionately, feeling him flip her over, wrapping her arms around him, moaning gently. "God, you're incredible."

She smiled and looked up into his eyes. "You taste so good, baby." She ran her hands over his chest. Even if she couldn't get off right now, she was glad she could do it for him. "I'm glad I could do that for you."

He gently caressed her face, running his thumb over her lips. She kissed his thumb gently. "I just wish I could reciprocate. I know how badly you want it."

She smiled gently. "I want our baby to be healthy more. I can let all the sexual frustration build up and have one of the best orgasms of my life. All of which, were given to me by you."

He smiled and kissed her passionately, then broke the kiss gently. "I'll go make us breakfast and then after breakfast in bed I'll get started painting and at the end of the day you and I can have a nice bath together. Sound good?"

She smiled and looked into his eyes and bit her bottom lip, nodding. "Sounds perfect."

He kissed her gently and climbed off of her and pulled up his pants, walking down to the kitchen and making breakfast.

Two days later, Brian walked into the bedroom, wiping sweat from his brow. "Charlie's room is all set, as is Calvin's. You want to come see?"

Olivia smiled and nodded. She saw Brian walk over and he picked her up and kissed her gently. "Mm. My hero," she whispered against his lips. Brian carried her into the hallway, setting her on the floor outside Charlie's room. He stood behind her and covered her eyes. He opened the door and led her inside. Once they were in the center of the room he moved his hands and she looked around, gasping. "Oh, Bri." It was a light purple, more specifically 'Lovely Lilac Willow' and whimsical designs were drawn with a light green called, 'Swimming Sea Turtle'. She felt tears well up in her eyes, seeing the wood letters painted white that spelled out her full name, "Charlotte Paige Cassidy" on the wall. "It's beautiful." She smiled at him and wrapped her arms around him. "It's perfect."

Calvin poked his head in. "Want to come see my room? I just finished."

Olivia smiled and nodded. "Sure." They walked down the hall a little and into Calvin's room. His room had thick horizontal stripes in two different colors a rich blue called 'Lost at Sea' and a dark green called 'Deep Sea Venture'. "Calvin, this looks great! And you did this all alone?"

"Well, not all alone. Dad helped with the higher up stuff that I couldn't reach, but I did the rest of it myself. Even taped it off, making sure that the lines were straight and even. I figure that I don't really have a lot to put on the walls, maybe a few pictures."

"You're so good at art, Calvin. Really."

He smiled and hugged her gently. "I love you."

She kissed the top of his head. "Love you, too, kiddo."
