Arc 1: Empire restoration

Episode 4 part 2: The mercenary samurai (Corrected version)

Arresterdramon looks at the blade coming in his direction, straight at the center of his head. Already defeated, he waits for it to kill him. When suddenly a gray blur passes his face. CLANG!

"M...MetalTyrannomon?" Says Arresterdramon, surprised.

MetalTyrannomon blocked the blade with the metal part of his palm. His knees are shaking from the pressure and the strength of Gaioumon.

Arresterdramon doesn't move after he sees the cyborg gray dinosaur whine. "Thank you."

Allie and Gumdramon smile immensely when they see he is saved. Vanessa also feels relieved.

The masked one is watching this and he puts his hand over his chest in obvious relief. He was sure he'll see one of his own being killed, but it is not the case.

Arresterdramon stands up weakly, frees his tail, and backs away. MetalTyrannomon then looks at Gaioumon and grunts aggressively.

"So you will take his place. But I have no time to lose against you." Says Gaioumon. He takes his other blade and he is about to attack when he feels a sharp pain in his neck. Wha-"

"Release the girl now!" Shouts a female voice.

Gaioumon turns around and sees Minerva glaring at Gaioumon. Gaioumon notices her H-Loader.

"So, another hunter has come. And it is another human girl," Gaioumon says. "Interesting. But where is your partner?"

"I think you can feel it," Minerva says with a smirk.

Gaioumon remembers the pain at his neck and feels it go deeper. He moves his free hand and he pushes the offender away, Leomon. Leomon is launched backward before landing on his feet.

"Are you alright?" Asks Leomon.

"...Gravely in pain." Says Arresterdramon.

Gumdramon suddenly runs at his brother and hugs his chest.

"Big bro! You're alright! You're still here!" Shouts Gumdramon in relief.

Arresterdramon's pain comes back because of the hug but he doesn't complain. He looks at MetalTyrannomon who gives him a small nod before raising his right hand while the left still traps the blade.

"Giga destroyer!" He shouts. He fires a missile that flies at the direction of Gaioumon while he is not looking.

"Master! Look out!" Shouts SkullSatamon. Gaioumon turns around and sees the missiles, but it's too late for him to dodge. They explode right in the same eye Vanessa punched.

"ARGH! MY EYE!" Screams Gaioumon who is really in pain this time.

"The eyes! We have to aim there!" Allie shouts. She knows it is his weakness.

Minerva nods. Leomon too. Gaioumon hears her and jumps away from the group. Tears are welling up in Gaioumon's left eye. Tears fall, trying to calm the pain of a missile strike.

"Come and try...I dare you," Grunts Gaioumon. "It's been a long time since I have been in such pain. Only my rival, GammaArresterdramon was powerful enough to hurt me. But he didn't need to aim at my weakness."

"Alright. We have to do this together," Says Leomon.

Minerva looks at Allie and she gives her a small smile.

"He cannot fight two of us at the same time," Says Minerva.

"Are you sure?" Asks Gaioumon, drawing his second sword.

"Show off."

"You too?" Sighs Gaioumon. "Time to destroy you!"

"GROAR!" Grunts MetalTyrannomon.

MetalTyrannomon charges at Gaioumon who jumps to the left, dodging the attack. He points his arm and he fires a missile. Gaioumon blocks it with his sword. Leomon is behind him, in the air. He attacks with his sword but Gaioumon blocks it with his other sword. He then pushes Leomon away and kicks the stomach of MetalTyrannomon who flies away before landing on the ground. MetalTyrannomon stands up and he shakes the dust covering him. He puts his hands over his stomach because it is very painful. He then sees Gaioumon charging at him and he jumps to the left and he runs at his partially blind spot. Leomon runs at the other side and he attacks with his speed. Gaioumon blocks his attack a few times until he is hit in the chest.

"There you are Met -Who?" Asks Gaioumon.

It was Betsumon who punched him. Almost immediately, a lazer strikes his right eye, causing his vision to falter.

"ARGH! HOW?" Screams Gaioumon.

"You really think I only have Leomon?" Asks Minerva. "And you didn't tell how many can fight you."

"Master!" Shouts SkullSatamon.

"The battle isn't over...Maybe I can't see well...But I can win without any problem." Says Gaioumon in pain. Tears are in both of his eyes and he cannot see anything.

"Give up Gaioumon. Just release my friend!" Shouts Allie.

"Giving up...Not now!" Shouts Gaioumon.

"Not...now?" Says Arresterdramon weakly.

He charges at MetalTyrannomon and the gray dinosaur blocks the sword with his palm again while Leomon attacks with his sword. Both of them are forced to block the attack. Betsumon attacks Gaioumon but he is not affect by his punch. He attacks Betsumon with his head and he is sent flying. He then rises his left foot and he stomps on MetalTyrannomon. He traps him with his toes then he throws him at Leomon who is crushed by the big digimon. MetalTyrannomon stands up and Leomon is crushed even further into the ground. Leomon then stands up.

"You are very heavy," Leomon mutters. He shakes his head and he looks at Gaioumon.

Minerva joins Allie by her side.

"Do you have any plan to end the fight?" Asks Minerva.

"Not really...He is too good to be distracted easily. Even if his view range is bad." Allie says.

"Maybe we can attack his balance?" Minerva suggests. "The black pants, we have to drop them."

"You mean to drop his pants...We will see too much then." Says Allie.

"Have you seen your partner?" Asks Minerva. "He has a hole right at the pelvis section of his pants. I'm sure you won't see anything under Gaioumon since they are both dragon digimon."

"... That is fashion," Arresterdramon grumbles.

Leomon has heard them and he charges at Gaioumon while MetalTyrannomon grabs his attention along with with Betsumon. Leomon arrives suddenly and he grabs Gaioumon's pants, dragging them to the ground. Gaioumon didn't see him but he feels something. He went after Leomon but he loses balance, tripping over his fallen pants

"That is low!" Shouts Gaioumon.

Leomon stands there and he gives a kick at the right eyes of Gaioumon who screams in pain.

"True...But it is the only way to save this girl." Says Leomon.

"Urgh...I have enough of this fight now...I'll stop it for now...Before I'll become blind." Says Gaioumon.

He suddenly spins around himself and he is back on his feet. He puts his pants on his rightful place and he looks at Arresterdramon.

"I hope you have watched the fight well." Says Gaioumon. "Because I'll be back...And I hope you'll be stronger next time."

"What about us?!" Shouts Minerva.

"You are serving as an example." Says Gaioumon. "An example this teenager digimon has to follow."

"..." Leomon looks at Gaioumon.

"SkullSatamon...Release the girl. We will have another time."

"Master! Are you sure?! What about the 3 million dollars for her?" SkullSatamon protests, obviously surprised.

"It will be for next time." Says Gaioumon. "Unless you want me to be blind..."

"But..." SkullSatamon hesitates.

"Don't argue with me or the punishment will be severe!"

"...Fine Master." Reluctantly, he releases Vanessa. She is put on the ground and she runs toward Allie.

"Vanessa! I'm so glad he let you go!" Says Allie.

"I know... Sorry to be the cause of trouble." Says Vanessa.

"Stay in shape Miss Vanessa...Because you are still my target." Says Gaioumon.

Vanessa looks at him. She is worried that he may follow her until it is the right time to capture her. And with good reason.

Gaioumon jumps from the roof after putting his digimon back in the H-Loader. They watch him disappearing. Leomon sighs with a small smile.

"We are lucky he gave up this time...And doesn't bother fighting with all he got." Says Leomon.

"You mean he is stronger than that?" Asks Allie.

"It is true he is going a little gentler...When it is not me he is fighting." Says Arresterdramon.

MetalTyrannomon feels that the danger is finally gone and he turns at the direction of Arresterdramon.

"Huh?" Says Arresterdramon.

MetalTyrannomon runs at the direction of the purple dragon with an immense smile like only he can do and he traps Arresterdramon, Allie, Vanessa and Gumdramon in his arms. He hugs them and moves to the left and right when they are trap against his big belly. He is so glad the worse didn't happen.

"I'm fine...We're all fine...You...You can stop doing that." Says Arresterdramon, needing to breathe along with the others. He also chuckles.

"That is a dinosaur who loves us." Says Allie with a smile.

"Alright...I think I want to return home." Says Arresterdramon. "I have enough for today."

MetalTyrannomon frees them and Arresterdramon is on the ground again.

Arresterdramon tries to stand up but he has no strength.

"Miss Allie...It is best Arresterdramon stays in his digimon form for a while...So he can heal faster." Says Leomon. "He may succumb to his injuries if he is back to his human form right now."

Allie looks at him and she sees that he is still bleeding, less than before but he is still.

"MetalTyrannomon...We will bring him home." Says Allie. "Minerva..."

"What is it?" She asks.

"Thank you for coming. You know, maybe we could be a team." Says Allie.

"A...Team? Well...I think not." Says Minerva. "You might try to steal our hunt and I barely know you...But...If that wannabe samurai tries to attack you again...You can always call us if you need help."

Minerva and Allie wonder how to give it on their H-Loader. They both look at the direction of Arresterdramon.

"Arrest...Do you know how we can maintain contact with this?" Asks Allie.

"Well...Since there are so many different options compare to the one I know...I cannot answer well...But I think you might try to put your H-Loader in contact...Put them close together." Suggest Arresterdramon.

Minerva and Allie put their H-Loader in close contact and something appears on the screen.

So you want to put a contact with this hunter?

Allie and Minerva look at it surprise by how simply it has been stated. They press the yes switch and another text is put.

New contact has been put...Go to the contact list if you want to communicate with this hunter.

"Why didn't we get an instruction manual?" Asks Minerva.

"Because you humans never read it when you are teenagers," says Leomon implying something else too.

"...Leomon..." Says Minerva before turning the digimon back in his human form and putting Betsumon back in the H-Loader. "Say that again."

"Well..." Leo walks backward. "It is true...I haven't see a lot of you who do it."

"You are implying that we are stupid...right?" Asks Minerva.

"...I got to go...I have to work soon so...Bye." Says Leo before running away.

"COME BACK HERE! I'LL MAKE YOU PAY FOR THIS!" Screams Minerva after him.

"Even a wisdom digimon like Leomon consider teenagers idiots," Arresterdramon mutters.

"Let's go to your home." Says Allie.

"I'll there in advance." Says Gumdramon flying there.

"Vanessa..." Says Allie.

"I'm alright...I'll return home by myself...I'm not letting giant samurai like him scaring me forever." Says Vanessa with a smile.

"Alright...Good-bye." Says Allie with some worries in her voice.

"Don't worry...I'll be fine." Says Vanessa.

Allie climbs on MetalTyrannomon shoulder and she hangs against his skin while the gray dinosaur takes the purple dragon in his arms. Arresterdramon face turns red when he sees how he is grabbed.

"...MetalTyrannomon...I'm not a princess you know..."

MetalTyrannomon looks at him, smiles and laughs a little.

Arresterdramon looks around and he feels like his brother is far away and he can react like he wants.

"You little bastard!" Says Arresterdramon. He then moves his arms and legs furious. "I AM NOT A F****** BEAUTIFUL GIRLY PRINCESS! I'M A POWERFUL DRA-*CRACK* Ouch! My back, my neck, my arms and my legs." Whines Arresterdramon in pain.

"It's your fault Arrest...You didn't stop moving." Says Allie. "Let's go."

MetalTyrannomon jumps from the roof of the building and he moves to the next one at the direction of Arresterdramon's house.

The masked human watches them moving away and he runs. He jumps off the building and he lands on the next one like a super heroes.

"It is good to know I can follow them that way." Says the masked one. "At least they are safe...Now I will know where the 2 are livings."

He follows them until they reach the house. He sees MetalTyrannomon putting them near the house where he can hide before Allie puts him back in the H-Loader. Arresterdramon flies on the roof and they enter in the house when no one was watching. The masked one takes note of where they are living and he walks away to warn the dragon emperor.

DK takes the phone and he answers to the one who call him.

"Gaioumon...So...What are the news?" Asks DK.

"-If I am not at your office...You can figure it out.-" Says Gaioumon.

"You have failed...Can you explain me the cause of your failure?" Asks DK.

"-I lost the fight.-" Says Gaioumon.

"That's a lie...You are too calm for that...You released her on purpose right?" Asks DK.

"-...You are smart DK...Yes...I let her go before I became blind. I've been beaten in my eyes and they drop my pants if you want to know. I have my reasons for letting her go...Something personal.-" Says Gaioumon.

"I'll let it pass this time Gaioumon...But I am not interested in too much failure...I am not someone who tolerates much failure." Says DK.

"-I'll wait for a while before trying again...And I'll see if my old promise will be completed.-" Says Gaioumon.

"...You are not paid yet." Says DK.

"-I know...-" Gaioumon then hang up. DK did the same.

"*Sigh* I guess I'll have to wait more before Vanessa is brought here...Maybe I'll try another way." Says DK. "It's a miracle already I met her the first time. But I think I should create contact with her."

DK then takes out a bottle of wine and drinks it.

"Champain...The best wine I can drink." Says DK.

Allie's room

It is starting to get late and Allie looks at her H-Loader. She sees MetalTyrannomon eating like most of the time and he sees Allie looking at him. MetalTyrannomon sees well that Allie is worried about something, something hunting her mind.

"Listen MetalTyrannomon...I know you can't answer back but...I think you know why I am this way." Says Allie. "I'm just thinking about what both Arrest and Gaioumon says."

MetalTyrannomon looks at her carefully.

"Arrest says that a digimon captured can help us when we are able to obtain their trust and help...By negotiation and by giving them what they need...But Arrest...I didn't do any of this and he is willingly helping me...But Gaioumon tells me that he might give up on me and let me down...Do you think Gaioumon is really playing a mind game or he is telling the truth?" Asks Allie.

MetalTyrannomon closes his eyes and crosses his arms. He seems to think for a while. He then raises his shoulder and he grunts confused about this.

"So you don't know...But maybe he is saying something true...The way he acts by himself and seems close on us when he fights Gaioumon...Maybe he is not tamed, in control or doesn't fully trust me." Says Allie.

MetalTyrannomon agrees with her with the movement of his head and he grunts something Allie doesn't understand. He then smiles and she can only guess.

"Are you telling me that he is not in control...And that I should find what can be more important?" Asks Allie.

MetalTyrannomon gives a so-so with his claws, meaning she is partially right.

"Something else...Hum...When you smile at the end...You mean I can trust him or should trust him right?" Asks Allie.

MetalTyrannomon nods his head positively.

"You're right...For a wild digimon...You sure are smart...Thanks for listening to me" Says Allie with a smile.

MetalTyrannomon smiles and he starts eating again, glad that Allie is feeling better.

Arrest's house

Arrest was alone in his house. He is resting after the fight and decides to call it a day. Arrest must regain his strength before continuing any hunting.

His injuries are still present from when he was in his real form but they are much much smaller. Most have healed a bit and he will be able to work tomorrow. He seems like he is cover in bruise because he stays in his digimon form longer so he healed faster, but not enough for him to work.

He relaxes for a while until he hears the door of his home knocking. He raises his head and he wonders who it is. He knows that Allie, Vanessa and his brother are in school so it cannot be any of them. It must be a stranger because Shoutmon calls and tells him he is currently singing at New York and some fan girls manage to steal his headphone. He hunts her down to regain what is rightfully his. He has laugh at this anecdote.

Arrest walks at the direction of the door and he opens it, leaving the locker in.

"Hello." Says Arrest.

"Hello Arresterdramon. It is good to see you are feeling better." Says a masked man. He looks at Arrest with his emerald eyes.

"..." Arrest glares at him. "Gaioumon..."

"No...You got the wrong digimon." Says the masked man before laughing lightly. "I am not Gaioumon."

"You are a digimon...That I can be sure." Says Arrest.

"That is true." Says the masked man.

"Judging by the mask and the way you are speaking...Those eyes!...I'll say you are...The Prime minister of Emperor Dorbickmon." Says Arrest surprise.

"That is true...But please...Call do not bow for me...I always blush when anyone do this." Says the masked man.

"Where is emperor Dorbickmon?" Asks Arrest.

"He is elsewhere with another dragon digimon." Says the masked digimon.

"Alright." Says Arrest glad he hasn't to talk to him. "How do you know where I live?"

"I've followed you here with a human and MetalTyrannomon." Answers the masked digimon.

Arrest looks at him and he realises he doesn't know his brother is here.

"Are you living alone?" Asked the masked digimon. "I've seen Gumdramon there but he flies off when this duel against Gaioumon was over. He must be a very close friend."

"No...I haven't seen him. And yes...He is a close friend." Says Arrest.

The masked digimon closes his eyes for a second. He knows Arresterdramon has a brother, Dorbickmon takes it in note when he talks to him a while ago. He understands that he wants his brother safe and by his side, so the masked digimon play along.

"Alright...Can I come in or we will talk this way?" Asks the masked digimon.

"We will talk this way." Answers Arrest.

The emerald eyes of the prime minister of Dorbickmon are suddenly bigger. He knows that being refused to enter means something.

"Alright...I'll what I have to say if it is alright for you Arresterdramon." Says the masked digimon.

"I'll listen for respect of both you and the emperor but I have the freedom to say no." Says Arrest to be sure whatever he says gives him a possibility to maintain the life he has.

"I do not ask more." Answers the prime minister of the dragon empire.

"Alright...What do you want to talk about?" Asks Arrest.

"I am here to talk. You know about the situation digimon are living in right?" Asks the masked digimon.

"I know...Most of us are living in poverty. I am a digimon who is living with the minimal of the income I have. Even so I have a good life." Says Arrest.

"I can see that...But most of us aren't as lucky as you...Anyway...I am here to tell you that all dragon digimon are asked to assemble at the abandon house at the north part of the city where most of the dragon digimon lives." Says masked digimon.

"...Dorbickmon wants to assemble dragon digimon...Why?" Asks Arrest.

"Because the emperor is planning to put an end to poverty of the dragon digimon." Says the masked digimon.

"..." Arrest looks at the masked digimon and he hears how much serious he is. Arrest doesn't like this. "How do you plan doing that?"

"I think you have partially guessed...Our emperor plans to obtain a part of the human world and claim it as the dragon Digimon Empire. We will restore a place where dragon digimon can live without the fear of poverty, starvation and misery." Says the masked digimon.

"What?!" Shouts Arrest. "You want to declare a war against humanity! No...Why would the emperor want to do this...I can't believe it!" He shakes his head and he wants to close the door right now.

"Do you think him, me or any of us like to see pain and fear of starvation...We are organised enough to live but the fear of starvation was present for 5 years. We are living in an abandoned building without electricity or anything to make a better life." He says seriously with shouting and drag attention. "Our emperor cannot endure seeing us living in such situation...He doesn't want to see our kind suffering."

"But...It isn't our world...We can't do that...Just like if the opposite happen...They cannot do that...We look like humans to them and the economy context-" But Arrest was cut off.

"But 5 years of suffering! Do you think any king or emperor digimon would stay still and just watch this? Maybe the marine digimon are planning something...Maybe the holy digimon are planning something...Surely the dark digimon are plotting something." Says the masked digimon.

"But..." Arrest remembers when he ears Gum-Gum reading and studying his history book about the economic depression of 10 years during 1929 to 1939. "Humans have endured this for 10 years once."

"It is far too long...We do not know well how this world works so our chance are slim." Says the masked digimon. "Our emperor wants you to be a part of it so dragon digimon can prosper just like old times. Or even living with us...With digimon of your kind."

"...Sorry...But I won't accept either of this...I do not want to hurt any humans...And...I have fight to obtain the life I have now! I do not want to blow everything away...Steal everything away from the humans like they are...I don't even want to say it...How can our emperor stood low?" Asks Arrest. "What about his honor? Our dragon digimon honor?!"

"Honor...It is something we cannot keep. If we keep our honor...We might eventually die...If our emperor is acting this way...It's for our population...If one day he'll die in disgrace...It will be for making his people happy...Give them a better life." Explains the masked digimon calmly.

"But!...But..." Arrest cannot counter this. "I don't want to be a part of this...I cannot give up what I have obtain through effort and honor." Arrest looks at the ground. "I...I love our emperor...He is a hero for me but...I cannot do this...It is against the reason I love our emperor too." Arrest closes his eyes.

"...Alright...The emperor will understand this...He will not force anyone to fight and accept to get their hand covered in blood. Just stay out of our way...He will never want to put harm to one of us." Says the masked digimon.

"...I can believe this." Says Arrest. "Anything else you want to say?"

"If you ever need help...If a digimon is hurting you...You can always count on a dragon digimon to help you...Me and the emperor too." Says the masked digimon.

"I understand Prime minister...I hope you may find another way." Says Arrest.

"Maybe...But be assured that we will not conquer the world...Only one or 2 cities will be enough." Says the masked digimon. "I hope you'll recover well and...I hope we can meet in a better time. Also...Since Dorbickmon couldn't come today...Let me warn you that he will come later to find you...Please don't infuriate him."

He turns and walks away.

"One or 2 cities is already too much." Says Arrest closing the door.

Gaioumon walks at his improvised shelter in the city. He walks inside and he looks around very carefully and he watches the place. He thinks back about what happened yesterday and he sighs.

"I guess I overdid it a little." Says Gaioumon.

"-You cost us 3 million dollars master!-" Shouts SkullSatamon.

"...Don't make me angry." Warns Gaioumon.

"-I'm just saying-" Says SkullSatamon on the defensive.

"...I know...But something more important brought up on the way when he appears." Says Gaioumon.

"-Arresterdramon...But all what you said earlier...What was that about?-" Asks SkullSatamon.

"That is not of your business...It only concern me and GammaArresterdramon." Answers Gaioumon.

"-Alright master...If you need anything else...-" Says SkullSatamon.

"Rest for now...I have something personal to look at on my H-Loader." Says Gaioumon.

"-Understand.-" Says SkullSatamon before his face disappears from the screen.

Gaioumon then cuts contact with his team. He then looks at the H-Loader.

Selecting pictures section.

Gaioumon moves the pictures for a while. The pictures move to the next one until he sees one of them that is important. It has been put on the security section and completely protected from any loss.

A tear falls to the ground from the left eye of Gaioumon. It wasn't a tear of pain or irritation, but another one. He looks at the picture.

"I'm sorry...I was a little rough...But...I'll keep my promise to you...No matter what." Says Gaioumon.

He moves to the next one that is important and to the final one.

"He didn't even remember me...He was just too young before the...And then you...And now...I cannot correct anything." Gaioumon has some gasp in his voice when he speaks about something important and too painful to say.

The tear stops and Gaioumon recompose himself.

"It is not the time to cry anymore...I cannot let my emotion get the best of me this time." Says Gaioumon before walking to his improvises bed and slowly fall asleep.

AC: This is the end of episode 4. I know that this episode has less comedy but it is normal with the situation and fight.

Episode 5: The youngest hunter.

This one will be funnier and silly.

The third and final main hunter will appear in this episode. The 3 main characters will be there and the story will finally diminish some of the focus of Allie to the other 2 to know them more.

Who is Gaioumon talking too? What did he do wrong? Why did he want to keep his promise? And what his promise is? The answer for that will wait.

Expect Gaioumon to appear a few times in the first Arc and be important.
