Chapter 30 is here. I can't believe I'm at thirty chapters already on this story. I need to thank all of you wonderful readers for sustaining interest, and my awesome beta, Liv Cassidy, for her wonderful little gems of inspiration that pop into her head. This chapter was hard to write for me, but it's one of my favorite, because through it, I got to relive one of the best days of my life! So, without further ado, here it is, Chapter 30. Enjoy!

Olivia heard her phone ringing and she felt on the nightstand for it, her eyes still closed. She slid the answer key and she spoke groggily. "Benson."

She heard a small, shaky, crying voice on the other end of the line. "L—Liv?"

She sat up and furrowed her brow. "Amanda? Honey, what's wrong?" She heard Charlie crying in the background. "Is that Charlie? Is she okay?"

Amanda let out a breath. "She's fine, just… startled. I… I need you to come pick her up. I know I was supposed to bring her back but… Nate showed up at my door and beat the living hell out of me, I need to go to the ER," she said before breaking down in sobs.

Olivia's heart broke. "I'll be there as soon as I can. I'll drive you to the ER."

"Liv, you don't have to do that."

"Amanda," she took a deep breath. "Did he rape you?"

She cried harder and nodded, aware that Olivia couldn't see her over the phone. "Y—Yes."

"I'll be right over." She hung up and took a deep breath. She looked over at Brian, just waking up.

"What's going on? Everything okay?"

"No."

"Charlie?" He shot up, looking at her.

Olivia shook her head. "No, no, Charlie's fine, she's a little startled. It's Amanda. She just got beaten and raped. I need to get to her apartment, pick up Charlie and bring her to the ER. She can't drive."

"I'm coming with you."

"Bri, I got it."

"Hey, I know how important she is to you. I know you look at her like a little sister. You and Charlie are going to need someone there."

Olivia smiled and kissed him gently. "I love you."

He smiled and kissed her back, caressing her face. "I love you, too."

They got up and quickly got dressed, heading out the door. Olivia drove to Amanda's apartment, hitting the buzzer. "Amanda, it is Liv and Brian," she said gently. The door buzzed open and they ran up the stairs to Amanda's floor, then walking into the hallway, to her apartment, knocking on her door.

Amanda opened the door; she saw Olivia and she broke down in tears. Her entire body ached. She had bruises all over her body, her face was banged up.

Olivia pulled her into a hug, careful not to hurt her. "It's okay. You're safe now. We'll go inside and call the squad, get them started on it."

"No, the squad, how am I…"

"Hey, I'm here through the whole thing, just like you were for me. I just can't take this case because I'm not back yet. Amanda, I know that this is going to be rough; I'm not going to lie. The looks of sympathy are going to feel like a constant knife in the heart. But I promise you, we're going to get the bastard."

"I don't understand, Liv. He pushed his way inside, he was drunk, I could smell the liquor on his breath… At first I thought he was just going to beat me, but once he got a few punches in he threw me down on the couch and ripped my pajamas off and he started raping me. I didn't have time to even think, I didn't fight him off."

"Hey, it's okay. I'll call Amaro, okay?"

"No, not Nick, he has Zara this weekend, call Fin. Besides Fin and I are closer anyway, I'd feel more comfortable."

She nodded and smiled gently. "Bri, stay with her." Olivia stepped away, calling Fin taking a deep breath when he answered. "Hey, I need you to meet me hospital, send Munch over to Amanda's apartment with CSU." She took a deep breath. "I'm fine, it's Amanda, she's in bad shape Fin. We're getting Charlie and heading over to Mercy." She nodded. "Thanks."

Amanda saw Olivia walking back over. She felt Brian's hand on her shoulder, to comfort her. "He coming?"

Olivia smiled gently. "He's going to meet us at Mercy. Come on, let's go get you checked out." Olivia picked Charlie up, Brian grabbed the diaper bag and the car seat and followed them out to the car. "You okay driving, Bri?"

He nodded. "Yeah." They got the car seat strapped into the car and Olivia and Amanda climbed in back, Brian got in the front and quickly drove to the hospital. When they pulled up he looked back at them. "Go on inside, I'll park and be inside in just a few minutes."

Olivia nodded and got out of the car, helping Amanda inside the ER. She saw Fin waiting there and she smiled. "I'm right here, Amanda," she whispered, seeing her hang her head at the sight of Fin.

He looked at them. "Rollins, I…"

She nodded and looked up at him. "It's fine. I know the drill."

Olivia walked over to the nurses' station. "I'm Detective Benson, I have a rape victim here, and she needs to be seen immediately. I need a rape kit and trauma to take a look at her."

The nurse nodded and handed her some forms. "Have her fill these out; we'll bring her back when they're done."

Olivia nodded and walked back over to Amanda and sat down next to her, handing her the forms. Amanda looked up at her. "Can I put you down as my emergency contact? I don't have…"

Olivia smiled gently. "Of course."

Amanda offered a small smile and finished the paperwork. She looked at Olivia. "I guess I'm done."

"Okay, I'll be right back." She brought the paperwork up to the nurse who came around and brought her back with Olivia and Fin. Amanda put her clothes in evidence bags, and put on the hospital gown, walking out, clutching the back of it closed. "I'm right here, Amanda."

Amanda nodded and got on the exam table, looking at Fin, standing in the corner, respecting her privacy. She looked back at Olivia. "How? How did you…"

Olivia took her hand and squeezed gently. "Support, my friends and family, a therapist," she said softly, remembering the outburst Amanda had a few months back, telling her she didn't need to pay anyone to listen to her problems.

"Liv, I never should have said what I did. I was in a bad head space."

"That's not why I said that, Amanda. I know you didn't mean it. After this, though, I think you really need to consider going to one. Dr. Lindstrom is great, he can really help."

Amanda nodded and hugged herself. "I just want to get the exam over with, give my statement, and take the hottest shower I've ever taken in my life. I need him off me."

Olivia nodded. "I know." The nurse came in to perform the rape kit, and Olivia stayed by her side holding her hand the whole way. She bandaged her up, stitched up the cuts that were deep and walked out of the room to get her some clothes.

Amanda sighed and crossed her arms. "I'm so glad that part's over. That was the most humiliating thing I've ever been through."

"I'm not going to lie, it's going to get worse before it gets better, but it will get better. This will be worth it."

Amanda nodded. "I know. I've said that a million times."

She gently took Amanda's hand in hers. "I have too, but when you're here, in this position, it feels like the world is collapsing on top of you. I want you to know that feeling will eventually go away, you'll eventually feel like you have control back."

Amanda nodded. "I… I hate to ask, but I can't go back to my apartment…"

"You have a spot in our house. It may be a pull out couch, but it's yours, for as long as you need it."

"Liv, I'm so sorry about all this, and when Charlie was with me."

"Hey, Amanda, this is not your fault. Charlie is safe, you're safe now, that's all that matters." She hugged her gently. She felt Amanda's sobs and she gently rubbed her back. She saw the nurse come in and leave some scrubs. "Come on, put the scrubs on. I can take you back to the house to shower, we can send Brian over to get you some clothes, and we can head over to give your statement when you're ready."

"I just want to get this over with."

"I'll let you get changed. I'm going to go find Brian, okay?" She saw Amanda nod and she slipped out of the room and saw Brian waiting out in the hall.

"How is she?"

"She's… Rollins." She smiled gently. "It's going to hit her hard; I just want to make sure she has the help she needs before it does." She sat next to him and felt his arm wrap around her. She brought Charlie into her arms and held her close, closing her eyes. "I'm just glad they're both safe now." She kissed her daughter's head, feeling her little hand wrap around her 'Fearlessness' necklace. "Yeah, Charlie, you're Mama's fearless baby girl."

Brian kissed the side of her head gently. "I'm glad she has you. I think it'll be healing… for both of you."

She smiled and rested her head on his shoulder. "Could you do us a favor?"

"What's that, love?"

"Could you run over to Amanda's apartment and get some things for her. She's going to be staying with us for a little bit, a girl needs her things."

"She really is like a sister to you, isn't she?"

Olivia nodded. "We fight, get on each other's nerves once in a while, but isn't that what sisters do? I'm friends with Alex, Casey, and Melinda, but since Amanda came into the unit… I've taken her under my wing; I've come to really view her as a sister."

Amanda was just inside the door listening and she smiled. She needed a sister, now more than ever. After what her own sister did to her, she wasn't sure she was going to ever have that kind of relationship again, but honestly, since she started working with Olivia, she viewed her not only as a hero, and a role model, but as a sister as well. The fact that Olivia felt the same about her made her happier than she could describe. She opened the door and walked out. "Alright, let's get this statement thing over with."

Olivia smiled and stood up still holding Charlie in her arms. "Come on." They all piled back into the car and drove back to the station house. Brian dropped them off and then went back to Amanda's house to get her some clothes and her toiletries. Olivia walked her up to the precinct and into an interview room as quickly as possible, trying to avoid as many of the sympathetic looks as she could. She closed the blinds and sat down. "Okay, tell me everything."

Amanda nodded and bit her bottom lip. She took a deep breath and started. "Nate has keys to the building, I gave them to him while we were dating and haven't had a chance to get them back. He knocked on the door. When I opened it, he pushed me inside. I could tell he was drunk, I could smell the alcohol on his breath. He started talking to me, but he wasn't making any sense. I tried to talk him down; he had a crazed look in his eyes. He got angry, started hitting me. I tried blocking the blows to my face.

It was useless. He threw me onto the couch and he ripped off my pajamas. I screamed for help and he hit me again. He started to rape me. I froze. I dissociated, I don't really remember what happened while he was raping me. I don't remember what he said or did. When he finished, he kissed me, it brought me back. He bit my breast, God I thought he was going to bite a chunk of it off, I screamed in pain. Charlie started to cry. He got scared and ran out. I put on the t-shirt and sweatpants. I tried calming Charlie down, and then I called you."

Olivia nodded. She wrote everything down and reached across the table. "Let's get you home." Olivia got a text a few minutes earlier that Brian was back. She walked Amanda out, seeing Brian. He got on the other side of her and wrapped an arm around her. They got in the car and drove back to the house. "Come on, I'll show you where the shower is."

Olivia started to walk up the stairs and looked back at Amanda. "I… It hurts so bad."

Olivia walked back down and hugged her gently. "Is it okay if Brian helps you up?" She saw Amanda nod and she looked at Brian. "Hey, can you help Amanda up the stairs?"

Brian smiled and handed Charlie off to Olivia. He walked over to Amanda and gently rested a hand on her shoulder. "Is it okay if I pick you up?" Amanda nodded. He picked her up, one arm under her legs, one around her shoulders, wedding style. He carried her upstairs, into the bathroom.

Olivia carried up the bag Brian brought in with Amanda's things, along with Charlie. Brian walked out of the bathroom and Olivia smiled. "Here's your bag, we'll be up here either in the bedroom or nursery, let us know when you're done, we'll help you downstairs, okay?" She saw Amanda nod and she closed the door, giving Amanda her privacy. She walked in the bedroom, seeing Brian. She walked over to him and kissed him gently. "I can't believe this."

"I think it's great that you're going to be there for her through this."

"I can't just abandon her. She doesn't have anyone other than the squad. It's a little more comfortable to talk to a woman about these things."

"You're such an amazing friend, you know that."

"Like I said, Bri, she's more than my friend… She's my sister."

He rubbed her back gently. "I know. Just know that if you need anything, if you need to take a breath, I'm right here."

She kissed him softly. "You're incredible. Not only have you been amazing with me, you're amazing with Amanda. You know, if Narcotics doesn't work, you really could go back to SVU. You're amazing with victims. You could help a lot of people."

He smiled and kissed the side of her head. "I'll think about it, okay? Brooklyn or Queens, since I can't work Manhattan, though I wouldn't mind sleeping with the boss," he murmured and kissed her again.

She giggled and gently caressed his face. "I love you."

"I love you too."

Olivia heard Amanda yell out for her and she handed the baby off, walking into the hallway, knocking on the bathroom door before walking in. "Hey, what's up?"

Amanda smiled softly. "I can't… I can't keep my arms over my head long enough to comb my hair. Can you?"

Olivia smiled and nodded. "Of course, I'll braid it for you too, if you want."

Amanda chuckled a bit. "If you want."

Olivia smiled and combed Amanda's damp hair, putting it into two French braids when she was done. "You know, I'm glad I have a sister to do this with, finally."

Amanda turned to face Olivia and smiled. "Sister? You mean that?" Sure, Amanda had heard when Olivia said it earlier to Brian, but it was different when she said it to her."

Olivia smiled gently. "Of course, you're the little sister I always wanted and never had. We annoy each other, get in fights, but that's what sisters are supposed to do, right?"

Amanda hugged Olivia tight, feeling the tears stream down her face. "Liv, I can't tell you what that means to me, to hear you say that."

Olivia gently rubbed her back and smiled. "I can't tell you what it means to me to be able to say it. You're an amazing person Amanda."

"I know we've been working together for a couple years now, and I've never told you, but… You're more than just a mentor and role model for me, you're my hero."

Olivia felt tears come to her eyes. She hugged the younger blonde woman in front of her and spoke softly. "You're my hero, too."

A/N: Thanks for reading! Please review, here or on Twitter UnbrokenBarista. This chapter is dedicated to one of my heroes, the Olivia to my Amanda, Natasha. I remember meeting her the first time, crying as I was getting ready to leave saying that it wasn't every day you got to meet one of your heroes. I then scolded her for crying because she just got her make up done and was about to meet a ton of celebrities, I had to make up on and was leaving, so I could cry as much as I wanted. The next day, after posting our picture on Facebook, she commented on it and told me I was her hero, too. A few months later, as we were walking out of a fundraiser she said we weren't just friends, we were family, that I was her sister. I can't tell you how much it means to me every time she calls me her sister. I know a lot of people don't like Amanda, and that's fine. I happen to love Amanda, because she reminds me of me. I've been in her shoes, that's why this chapter is so important to me.
