*3 weeks later*

The bruises may have faded, but the emotional toll taken from my mind is irreplaceable. Christina and Evan are always around, trying to comfort me. Nothing helps. I wake up screaming, the lack of sleep isn't helping.

I haven't been eating, anything I had eaten comes back up.

As for him, no one has heard anything from him since that night. I'm his target, I'm sure of that. He's coming for me, like I'm all he has left. Which is true, he has no one and in his mind I am his property.

"Tris?" I turn around and Evan is standing there, familiar. "You have a doctor's appointment to go to. Just to check up on your.. Um are you ready to go?"

"yes let me just get my jacket." I go over to the closet, grab my jacket, and we leave for the doctors.

"So, what have you been doing today?" I ask him. Might as well make conversation.

"Meeting with some other guys, talking about erudite, nothing big." We round the corner and walk into the office.

"Nothing too interesting?"

"Not really, the same bullshit as usual. They think they're better, we know we are." He smirks and I manage a laugh. "how are you Tris?"

"I'm improving, not as bad, not very good. Thank you for being around. it helps." I smile at him slightly.

"Sure, anything for you." he pecks me on the cheek and I walk back to my appointment.

Sarah, my doctor, does the normal check up. looks at my bruises, and most uncomfortably my sex. it's been achy ever since that night. Not to sound like a little well bitch but I think I've earned that right.

"Tris, we have some news." She walks in with some papers, test results are my guess. What kind of news could just be popping up now?

"what? Is something wrong with me?" I knew the answer to that question, but I ask it anyway. I almost laugh at my own words. I'm damaged beyond repair.

"I ran a test, I hadn't thought about it until now." She looks worried, the kind of look you have when someone's sick or has a broken arm. My arm isn't broken.

"Sarah, whatever it is can't be that bad. I can't imagine that my life could get any wors-" She cuts me off.

"This is serious Tris. I don't want you to flip out." Now I'm worried.

"just say it." She walks over and awkwardly grabs my hand. she looks me dead in the eye.

"Tris, you- you are- you are pregnant." The word echoed in my mind as the world went black.
