Enjoy! -Rebirth _ Ch 10-Swimming Competition Kira pov "Excuse me, pardon me." Demi said as we pushed through the crowds of people on the bleachers. There were a lot of people here for the swimming match. Then again it was the city wide tournament. Schools from all over Tokyo would be competing today. Eventually we reached the girls. We were all there to watch Ami, who was surprisingly a very talented swimmer. We both held bags of popcorn. We had been in the line for ages! Did the Japanese think this was a pro match or something? The two of us squeezed in between Red and Makoto who had enough sense to save us seats. There was only standing room now. The swimmers were already lined up on the podiums. Ami was in lane 4 and was prepping to dive in. People with stopwatches stood on both ends of the pool. "On your marks, get set, TWEET!" The whistle blew and they were off. Ami was behind in the first lap and only in 8th place. The other swimmers appeared to be putting in everything they had. "Go Ami go!" Demi and I shouted. Everyone stared intently at the crystal clear swimming pool. Each swimmer would have to go to the end of the pool and back. Ami was now in 5th and quickly gaining on the other swimmers as she pushed off the wall. That little smarty pants. She knew that everyone else would go as fast as possible in the beginning, making them slow down in the end. So instead of following the norm the bluenette saved all her energy for the last leg. Why didn't anyone else think of that? A couple seconds later Ami's judge was hitting his stopwatch. As soon as the rest of the swimmers had finished the judges all compared scores. After a good five minutes of anxious waiting the judges finally announced the winner. "in third place we have Mako Friji. In second we have Zakuro Hai (An: I honestly know no Japanese names so I made some up. Well Zakuro is from Tokyo Mew Mew so that's where I got that one)." The announcer boomed, "' Finally, in first place we have Ami Mizuno!" Everyone from Jubban cheered. The swimmers were given their medals before disappearing into the locker room. Everyone in the crowd slowly began to disperse, leaving us and the girls still sitting in the bleachers. "Maybe we should wait for Ami in the lobby." Makoto suggested. We all nodded before walking out of the pool area. Just before we left I turned around and stared at the crystal clear pool water. I couldn't shake the feeling of dread that had lodged in the pit of my stomach. _ Well that's it for this chapter. More on the way soon , scouts honor! Please comment below!
