"Yeah, um, they agreed to let us take them while they apprehend A'Daire men" Superman relayed from his super hearing. The police were seen hauling them off in their police cars.
"Alright well I vote for Mirror Master" Flash squealed in delight.
"Hawgirl get our cells ready for them. We have quite a bunch to deliver" Batman ordered her.
"Copy that" She replied but her voice broke up on static interference. Batman immediately frowns.
"What's wrong?" Black Canary inquires. Her woman instinct told her something was wrong.
"Nothing I just had a problem with our communications""Batman replied to Black Canary. She narrows her eyes but she obeyed him nonetheless.
"Should we?"Yammy asked Ulquiorra.
"Hai''Ulquiorra responds softly. They stepped out in the middle of the street.
"Time for a Gonzui"Yammy grinned. He went ahead and opens his mouth. Ulquiorra watched as his actions prompted the police squad cars to crash into a nearby building.
"Oh my god" Black Canary gasped in the background. Ulquiorra watched as the superheroes dropped their would be prisoners.
"Clark see if you can …"Batman began but he fell to his knees. Everyone else as well did too including Superman.
"WW-What is happening to us?" Superman asked. Yammy continue to suck out the souls of the policemen and henchmen in tow. Where was the Marvel family when you needed them?
"Enough Yammy otherwise you'll end the battle quickly"Ulqiuorra chided his inferior. Yammy obeyed but he marched past the fallen heroes. He leans forward and jerks Superman by his shirt.
"Hey Ulquiorra I don't think he even knows I'm here"Yammy boasted loudly. Superman's blue eyes widen but he glances everywhere. He was weak from having his soul nearly sucked out.
"These trashes aren't even Kurosaki's level in sensing us"Ulquiorra explain his theory. He watched as Batman glances at Grundy.
"Well doesn't that suck. I really wanted to make a name for myself. Oh well I guess I can't have both"Yammy sigh. He went ahead and attacks Superman. Ulquiorra watched as the kryptonian flew backwards into the already damage bank.
Black Canary and Green Arrow were unconscious along with Flash. Batman tried to raise his head but Yammy applied his foot on his head.
"Tch, I don't see why we have to deal with them. I mean they aren't even capable of resisting my attacks''Yammy complains.
"Trash our orders were to cripple them severely so that we must"Ulquiorra reminds him. He watched as Batman's blood ooze out. Yammy looked away while he removed his ginormous foot.
"Whatever" He murmurs.
"I imagine this incident will leave them perplex. We should take the opportunity to collect our fallen comrades and leave"Ulquiorra gestures to them.
"Fine whatever"Yammy spats. He made his way to Mirror Master. He yanks him up in an unceremoniously way. Ulquiorra gathered what he could and left.
It didn't take long for the other leaguers to sense something amiss and appeared in search for their silent comrades. Aquaman and Hawk girl and Martian Manhunter and Green Lantern remain focus on their environment.
"There they are"Aquaman points to lot. They made their way over to them.
"Let's get them to safety" Green Lantern replied. He made a note to ask them on what happen especially since their prisoners were nowhere to be seen.
When Batman awoke he was lying on a hospital bed. He sat up carefully but stopped when he saw the bruises and bandages wrapped around his head. Several others were there as well but Martian Manhunter was the only one around to give him an update on what happen.
"It appears that your injuries weren't as serious as the policemen"J'onn shared.
"Are they…?"Batman began to ask if they were dead but he quietly nods.
"Yes, they were when we appeared. Have you any idea who could have possibly attacked you?"Martian Manhunter asked.
"I honestly have no idea since it appeared to be an invisible attacker" Batman replied. He climbs off of the table despite his previous orders.
"Let me guess you're going to replay the footage on the bat satellite?" Martian Manhunter asks. He follows him.
"Where's Superman?" Batman asks abruptly. He scans the empty bed by him.
"He's recovering in a yellow lit sun room. Stewart seemed to think it would be a greater chance for him at least" Martian Manhunter continues to explain.
"Good" Batman sighs. He strolls to the control room. Cyborg glances at him as well as Aquaman.
"I need you to replay footage from our attack" Batman ordered.
"We already have" Cyborg replied.
"What did you find?" Batman asked.
"It's not what we did. It's what we didn't. You see the satellite wasn't aimed over the exact location but we still manage to maneuver around that" Cyborg explains.
"So what did you find?" Batman inquired. He leans forward.
"Well whoever it was …..They sure weren't carrying radiation signatures. So we know they aren't from outer space"Aquaman spoke up.
"Keep in mind though that was from using your average Batcomputer. We manage to tap into the Thanagarian one and found something rather interesting since the Kryptonian and Martian equipped computers failed" Cyborg pulled up a 3-d image.
He reconstructed an image of Ulquiorra and Yammy at the scene only they were still clueless as to who they were and what they represented.
"These jokers were caught in the brutal assault that took place" Cyborg gestures. Everyone fell silent.
"To our knowledge we've never seen them nor heard anything in relations to them before" Martian Manhunter answered his next thought.
"Now we know what they look like. The only thing is for us to find out who they are exactly and where they came from since they happened to be there previously to the arrival of you all"Aquaman stands up.
"I will seek an aide in this case seeing how we're left with little to nothing leads" Batman referred to his next ace.
"Shall we come with you?"Martian Manhunter asked.
"No I'll go by myself" Batman insists. He turned away from them.
"Like I'm going to let you do so" Superman's voice interrupted them. Batman raised his eyebrow but Cyborg smirk at that.
"That isn't smart since you're still hurt" Cyborg responded.
"I'll take my chances besides I doubt Madam Xanadu will have any reason to attack me"Batman replied quickly. He made his way out. Superman followed him anyway.
