GUYS! I'M BAAAACK!

After a good couple of months and a lot of guilt, I've finally picked up my keyboard and am now about to type out Chapter 18! I'm fairly excited for this, seeing as the story has now been on hold for FIVE WHOLE MONTHS ;-; It won't be a chapter a day but I'll update as regularly as I can, I promise 3 –Aaron

After a busy day in Canterlot, Twilight returned home to Ponyville. As she trotted along the gravelly path she noticed a blue and cyan blur flying towards her. Faster than she could say "Sugarcube Corner", the two blue flashes stopped right before her eyes. Of course, it was the devilish duo, Sonic and Rainbow Dash.

"HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII" they said in unison.

"Well, what's got you two so happy?" said Twilight. Sonic and Rainbow Dash wriggled in delight, almost falling over with glee.

"There's a race soon!" said Rainbow Dash. "I added Sonic because he's soooo fast!"

"There's a race soon!" said Sonic. "I added Rainbow Dash because she's soooo fast!"

Twilight stared at them. After a while it made the two of them feel a little creeped out by Twilight's gaze so she stopped.

"Well, I'm glad you two get along so well. Unlike someponies…"

-MEANWHILE IN RARITIES BOUTIQUE…-

"YOU TRY IT!"

"NO, YOU TRY IT!"

Yes, Twilight had almost foreseen this argument, as Amy and Knuckles argued not so silently over who should offer themselves to stand as Rarities mannequin…for 3 hours. Rarity had agreed that they could choose amongst themselves. But after Knuckles had worn a jet-black tuxedo that looked like it came straight from a wedding and after Amy modelled a ruby red dress with jewels so big it was a wonder Spike didn't try to EAT the dress, both of them did not feel like standing still in one of those outfits for 3 solid hours.

After many minutes of solid hammer smashing and fist clenching, They finally came to an agreement: Capture Fluttershy and use her as a mannequin. It wasn't the best idea in the world but it was worth a try, wasn't it?

-TWO HOURS LATER-

Twilight, having dropped her shopping off at the library, went off to find Spike. He had left a note saying he would be gone to Sugarcube Corner to visit Pinkie Pie, but she was a little worried as to how long he had been gone.

As she walked past Ponyville Prison, one of the more secluded areas of Ponyville, she looked in one of the bars…and gasped as she saw Amy and Knuckles behind them.

"Amy? Knuckles!? What the hay are you doing here?" She half-screamed.

"grunt" said Knuckles, who looked like a had a couple of serious bruise marks.

"It's all HIS fault!" said Amy. "That GENIUS over there thought it would be a good idea to KIDNAP FLUTTERSHY and use her as a MANNEQUIN! "

"YOU WHAT!?" said Twilight. "Well, ever since the whole Stare incident the police have been keeping an eye on her house every now and again. Guess you came on one of those bad days, eh?"

"Yeah, obviously. No how are we gonna get out of here?"

Meanwhile….

Tails had gone for a walk. After the whole chocolate epidemic he was still a little mad at Twilight for finding his one weakness. But they were still friends, and that still counted…right?

After walking for several hours, Tails took a break at a rock, slightly cracked from the intense heat. He saw a green smudge in the distance, but he payed no real regards to it…apart from the fact it was steadily walking towards him, moaning "Water….ARRRRRRK…Water…" in a strangely high pitched voice.

Then it hit him: Was that…Jet?

Tails slowly approached the enlarging mess of feathers and skin. When he got about 7 feet of Jet, he shuddered and said "…Jet? That you?"

Before you could even blink, Tails was knocked back by Jet onto the grass.

"Ha! Fooled ya kid! Guys, I got him! ARRRK!" Jet gave a triumphant squawk as Wave and Storm ran out of a nearby bush.

"Nice to see you again, shorty. Now seeing as your mess caused us to land here, where in the bloody hell are we?" Wave said, not too kindly.

"Hey, it wasn't MEANT to do that you know!" Tails said, a little muffled by Jet's glove.

"Even I knew that…now come on, we gonna take you to the boss' super secret base!" said Storm.

The trio dragged Tails away by his tails. He winced as pain shot through his tails but he wasn't going to cry: The same thing had happened ages ago when everyone had suddenly gone mad over the Zero Gravity theorem.

Back to Sonic and Rainbow, well, they were easily gliding alongside the massive and almost endless river near the forest. Both running at a steady pace, they shot through the woods and narrowly dodged trees, sneaking glances at each other. At one point Sonic was staring so hard at Rainbow's cutie mark that he crashed into a redwood tree that had made it's home among the spruce.

"Woah woah woah big guy!" chuckled Rainbow. "How did you manage that?"

"Well, I wanted to ask you, what's with the weird rainbow lightning-bolt thingamuwhatsit on your…posterior?" Sonic chuckled.

"Well, all ponies have a cutie mark…I can't believe you didn't know that?"

"I've been here what, 3-4 days? And you expect me to know absolutely everything about the complete pony anatomy?" Sonic said, laughing.

"True…you're still a doofus though." Rainbow said.

Ah, love is in the air. Isn't it? Idk, never been in love before…or loved ;_: crie erytiem
