A/N: Again I'm so sorry for being late. Life happened :P

I'm university girl now^^, Studying Japanese ;) But, as it turns out, learning a new language is hard work... Who knew right xD So I haven't had much time to write. Add a little writers block, other stories, gaming, finals AND Christmas to that and you probably get it ;) (I'm guessing some of you, if not all, know the feeling)

Anyway, enough babble from me. Thanks for sticking with me, and for leaving reviews. Here's chapter 11.

Chapter 11

Grimmjow had attempted to spend the day at Ichigo's place, waiting for the teen to return from school, but it didn't take long for him to grow bored. After only an hour he had decided to leave, going to visit his former friends. As he left, he saw Ichigo's father give him a look. The man was supposed to be working the clinic, but it wasn't all that busy, so he had plenty of time to scrutinize the blue haired arrancar.
"If Ichigo gets back before me, could ya tell him that I'm just out seeing some friends?" Grimmjow eventually said, waving and taking off as the dark haired man nodded. The hollow couldn't shake the feeling that Isshin knew more than he let on, and it gave him the willies.

After about fifteen minutes of walking he arrived at his destination. He didn't bother knocking, and simply entered the unlocked apartment.
"Yo," he said, causing the residents to jump in surprise.
"Xan- Grimmjow! Knock before entering please!" Giles said in an exasperated voice, earning a smirk from Grimmjow.
"Never used to," he shrugged. "You might wanna consider locking the doors though. Never know what could enter. Vampires aren't the only dangers out there you know,"
"I know that…" Buffy muttered. Grimmjow settled on the couch, looking at the others.
"Chill Buffy. I'm teasing. I know you're strong,"
"Obviously not strong enough… That monster… Noitra or whatever… he was hardly scratched by my sword. God! It's like Glory all over again. It's been a while since I've felt so helpless. Yet you took him down so easily. You and that kid from Dawn's school," she paced back and forth as she spoke. "You've changed so much Xander. And I don't know if it's really for the better. You said it yourself… You're not human," Grimmjow frowned.
"You're really going to go there? He's not human either!" he gestured towards Spike. "And Dawn wasn't always human either. I know what I am, Buffy. I know what I've done. But you can't… I don't want to hear this from you. Not after just finding you again,"
"He's got a point, luv…" Spike pointed out.
"But that isn't really the point. We want to help fight this enemy of yours, but as it is we're too weak. Like Buffy said, you two beat that guy easily enough, we need to get stronger. Can you guys help?" Giles asked, removing his glasses to clean them as he spoke. Grimmjow raised an eyebrow.
"It's not easy for us either. And it's not really "us" when you're talking about the Shinigami. Most of 'em aren't that fond of me. I can't promise anything, but I know of a guy who might be able to help. Though even that is a bit of a stretch, and I really don't want you to get involved here at all," Buffy looked ready to protest, and Grimmjow raised a hand to stop her. "However, I know you guys, and you won't just give it up, no matter what I say, so I'll take you to him. But if he refuses, there's nothing I can do. Capische?" he said. The gang nodded in agreement.
"We get it, Xand," Willow said,
"Good. Now, let's introduce you to Urahara Kisuke,"

He led the scoobies to the ex-shinigami's place, not bothering to attempt to dissuade them. Even Dawn had insisted on tagging along, though Buffy had protested loudly. She had only been allowed because she kept insisting she needed to get stronger in order to be able to defend herself.
"A candy shop?" Buffy raised a brow as they entered the shop.
"Don't judge a book by its cover, Buff. Not everything is as it seems," Grimmjow said with a smirk, watching the blond shopkeeper appear.
"Well, well, well. Who do we have here?" he said, taking in the sight of the gang.
"Friends of mine," Grimmjow said.
"Humans? Really now… Though I dare say they aren't your average ones. This one's spirit seems… off," Urahara studied Spike closely. The vampire stepped back slightly, clearly uncomfortable with the way the man was scrutinizing him.
"I take it you are Urahara Kisuke then?" Giles eventually said, breaking the tension and reaching out a hand to the shopkeeper.
"You are correct. I assume he's told you about me then," Urahara stated.
"Not much. Just that you might be able to help us," Giles looked to the blue haired male in question.
"Oh, is that so? What do you need me for then, foreigner-san?" Urahara looked at the Englishman expectantly.
"I, uh… I'm terribly sorry. I'm Giles Rupert, and these are Buffy, Spike, Dawn, Tara and Willow," Giles said. "we, uh…"
"We want to fight those hollow thingies, and heard you were the guy to talk to," Buffy interrupted.
"I see…" the former shinigami looked at Grimmjow and snapped his fan shut, apparently making up his mind. "I'll see what I can do then. Follow me,"

He led them to the training area where Ichigo and Grimmjow had sparred many times. Willow seemed to light up as she saw it, looking around with glee.
"It's so big! What spells did you use to make this? It's amazing," she said with a wide grin on her face. Tara smiled and held her hand, calming the redhead down.
"Thank you. I didn't make it alone though, so not all credit is mine," Urahara said, avoiding the question of the spell.
"Now, I can train you, but only if there is anything to train. If you have no spirit powers there is nothing I can do. That being said, the fact that you can see hollows and shinigami suggests that this will not be an issue," the man said.
"Fine. Let's do it!" Buffy said, a fierce look in her eyes.
"Hold on just a second. You can't get something for nothing. I need to know how you know Grimmjow, and see if I can trust you. Also, I will have to test your current abilities to see what must be worked on," he explained. "You first, Buffy-san. I sense a lot of strength in you. Now, see if you can knock my hat off," he smirked. Buffy raised a brow, clearly thinking he was overestimating himself, or underestimating her. The next two hours she spent trying to knock the hat off, however, proved her wrong. The rest of the day was mainly spent with Buffy, Tara and Willow being tested. The two witches surprised Urahara the most, and he spent most of the time questioning them on their abilities and limitations. By the time they called it a day, he'd only gotten their backstories and tested those three girls. He had yet to test the abilities of Dawn, Spike and Giles. Thus they agreed to meet up there the next day, Dawn dropping by after school and the others meeting at ten. Grimmjow took off towards Ichigo's place while the others went the opposite way. He never expected to almost crash into Ichigo in shinigami form as he neared the house.

A/N: I know, hardly my longest chapter, but it's something x)

Also, I have some idea of where I'm going, but anyone who has suggestions feel free to let me know. I can't promise I'll include it, but if I like it, then there's a good chance that I will ;)
