Okay, are you ready for the fourth chapter? I'm sorry I don't post much, my dad doesn't know I have this account, and I don't want him to find out. Well, here you go, enjoy.

"Vakna." Eragon said. It was moments then, before Saphira's eyes opened. When they did, they flashed open. She jumped away from Eragon and backed up to a cave wall. She was terrified. Eragon panicked and jumped away as Saphira snarled. She was dazed by the sudden forceful awakening. It took almost a minute before her vision cleared and she saw that it was Eragon standing over her. Her snarl died away almost immediately. "Eragon!" she called, but he didn't respond. Eragon was still in a state of shock at her sudden attempt at violence toward him.

After a moment of silence, Eragon spoke. "Saphira, can you hear me?" She nodded, more or less, but as far an Eragon knew, she did not say anything back. Eragon's Elven hearing enabled him to hear a sound from outside the caves, footsteps. He turned around and drew Brisingr from it's scabbard. Saphira turned her head slightly at his movement, then followed his gaze toward the cave's opening. She growled as the reeking scent of the Ra' zac entered her nostrils.

Two of them entered the cave and stood on either side of the entryway. Followed by Tyrus. At the sight, Eragon rushed forward with his sword, and attempted to run him through. The Ra' zac managed to stop him just in time. "So," Tyrus began, "I assume you thought I was Galbatorix too, huh." Eragon nodded. Saphira was simply sitting, watching the events unfold. "Well that's too bad." he said, "So you must be Eragon. Your dragon has spoken highly of you." At this remark, Saphira grunted. All eyes were on her, as that was the first verbal communique she'd made, since the sudden awakening.

Tyrus started again, "Oh, come now. We are all friends here. I have sent for your acquaintances, Eragon, they should be docking shortly." "Now my head is spinning. You must be pretty stupid, Galbatorix, if you think I'm just gonna follow you, to what ever lair you have now." Eragon said. Tyrus put his hands up to the sky and said, "Oh for goodness sake, I'm not that pile of Werecat-waste, Galbatorix. My name is Tyrus. We were twins, he was older by seconds."

Eragon raised an eyebrow, and looked at Saphira. She shook her head, an obvious signal, 'don't listen to him.' Tyrus saw this movement and sighed. "I know how hard it is to convince a dragon that their opinions are wrong." Eragon looked back at Tyrus. "If your not Galbatorix, then why can't I talk to Saphira?" "Ah," Tyrus was pleased to talk about something else, "A valid question, that deserves a valid answer. You see, these mountains contain an ore that is foreign to Alagaesia. I call it... Magicite."

"Magicite?" Eragon said with a sarcastic tone. "And I'm sure it also fell from the sky." Tyrus shrugged. "Maybe, but his is not the place to discuss this. I have a place that you can stay for a while. I don't get visitors often." "That still doesn't answer my question, Why can't I talk to Saphira?" Spoke a quickly angering Eragon. "It's just what it does. I can't explain it, and I have done many tests in my laboratory, But I can't get it to react, at all. I know almost nothing about it."

Eragon still wasn't convinced. "That's impossible. If that's true, and Magicite does exist, then why can't I talk to Saphira now? There's no stone between me and her." Tyrus paused for a moment, trying to get the explanation into words. During this pause, another Ra' zac entered the cave. This one was smaller than the most of the others. It was obviously a courier or a messenger.

It clicked it's beak and let loose a screech. Then Tyrus responded with a click of his tongue. Eragon raised an eyebrow. "Wonderful!" He exclaimed, "I sent an invitation for dinner and to stay the night to your friends, the elves. They accepted." Eragon was at a loss for words. He looked at Saphira. She lowered her head and looked Eragon in the eye. Her expression sent the message, 'Oh no' to Eragon. He returned his gaze to Tyrus, whose arms were now open wide, awaiting Eragon's response.

"It looks like we do not have a choice." Eragon said. Tyrus smiled. "Tonight, we feast like kings. Tomorrow, we shall talk. There is much to discuss." There was a detail that the Ra' zac did not mention to Tyrus. That was when the elves saw the Ra' zac on the shore, they ran and hid inside the ship. The elves would have been out-matched, and out-numbered by the dozens of figures on the shore. The ship never dropped anchor. It just beached itself on the bank. The Ra' zac, instead of reading the invitation out loud, like they were prepared to do, the just slipped the note in a window. Fifteen minutes later, the elves slid their reply out of the window and onto the sand.

The Ra' zac were not expecting a seemingly abandoned boat, but a committee of elves on the bow listening to their proposal.

Eragon looked at Saphira, once more. "If you sense that anything's up, give me a signal." At this, Saphira's nostrils began to smoke. Eragon sighed, this was gonna be a long night.
