Hate

Chapter 9

Catnip

Waka POV

Sunlight filtered through the trees and Waka found himself gazing at a green eyed woman lying with her head in his lap. She gazed up at him with a smile on her face and her arms in the air near his face. Her eyes were focused on the sky as she pointed out whatever caught her eye with childlike fascination. He could feel his heartbeat speed up from her proximity and the happiness that radiated from her. He ached to have her focus on him instead of the birds.

"Heh, you sure are a weird one."

Her gaze flicked to him but her smile faltered. He kicked himself mentally for ruining the moment.

"There's nothing wrong with that."

Her response was direct, confident, and utterly endearing to him for some reason. He smirked and grabbed one of her hands, grateful that she didn't take offense to his statement.

"Of course not, ma Cherie."

He planted a soft kiss on the back of her hand, watching as she rolled her eyes and smiled at him.

Waka shuddered as the vision left him, unnerved by the intimacy but still wanting more of his green eyed beauty.

He mentally hit himself when he realized he already thought of her as his. He hadn't even met the woman! Yet he could not deny the ache in his heart when his visions ended. Already she held a special place in his heart.

Shaking himself off, Waka refocused on his journey to South Ryoshima Coast to find this settlement of humans he had heard about from people in Agata Forest and Shinshu Field. Hopefully he would be able to find some answers about the demon cat that haunted his visions along with the green eyed woman.

Junko POV

I ran through the small patch of forest in South Ryoshima Coast in hopes of remaining neutral in the possibly violent confrontation between Atsuko and Minoru. Slowing to a trot, I huffed at the two's situation. Between Minoru's obliviousness and Atsuko's jealousy I doubt Minoru will survive the relationship.

Taking a deep breath, all my thoughts flew out of the window as a certain scent sent a jolt of pleasure through my body.

I followed the scent to a large patch of herbs. I leaned down to touch an herb with my nose only to have it engulfed in pleasure. Without a thought I threw myself into the herb patch, rolling frantically I focused on maximizing the pleasure the herb brought.

I laid on my back, slowly getting lost in the haze of pleasure.

Waka POV

Waka was almost to Sei'an City when he spotted the demon cat from Hana Valley. It was laying on its back, eyes strangely bright. As he got closer he noticed that it was lying in a patch of catnip, which explained its bright eyes and occasional twitching. He immediately noticed the blood red rosary encircling the cat's neck; his first thought flew to his vision concerning the beads and the 'full blood'. His eyes narrowed and his face grew serious as he drew his sword while approaching the cat.

For a moment he paused in front of the dazed feline, contemplating just ending its life now and possibly averting the events of his visions. Lowering his sword so it hovered just above the cat's throat, Waka watched as the creature turned its gaze to him, only to meow and swish its tail behind it, totally unaware of the serious threat he posed.

The cat turned away from him and shakily stood up, and Waka slowly sheathed his sword, unable to bring himself to kill the creature. There were too many pieces missing from this puzzle to kill such an important piece. Too many unanswered questions. From what he had seen in his visions the cat wasn't the mastermind behind the evil plans so killing it may hinder the forces at work but it wouldn't get rid of the root of the problem.

Waka was torn from his thoughts when the cat drunkenly rubbed its body against him. He chuckled at the creature which had given him so many openings to take its life, and showed no signs of stopping either.

He gently rubbed its ears, smiling as his actions earned him a loud purr. The cat closed its eyes and leaned into his touch and Waka marveled at how such a trusting demon could have possibly survived for so long.

When the cat's eyes snapped open and it turned around to face some unknown threat Waka could see the strength in its tensed body, possibly its sole reason for its survival.

Waka took advantage of the cat's distraction to leave the clearing and head towards Sei'an City, confident he would be seeing the creature again.

Okay so I know this was pretty short but at least its an update! I just wanted to post something before I went to sleep so here it is! Its been a long time since I wrote for Junko's character I hope I didn't do too badly this chapter DX

Hopefully I'll be able to write another chapter tomorrow (it'll probably be short if I do write.. I kinda didn't do any of my homework tonight so I might need to get caught up with that...)

So what do ya'll think of Waka's character? I don't think the game gave us too much about it so I'm trying to make it interesting and kinda true to what we see in the game XD
