I was currently sitting in the big house listening to heads of each cabin fight over the prophecy. After Rachel's prophecy Mr. D sent all campers to bed excluding the heads of each cabin, Dakota, Ella and Rachel. We've been sitting in a circle trying to decide which other campers would be coming on the quest. To be honest, I really didn't care who came because I was too spooked about the fact that in the past 48 hours my name was called for 2 prophecies.

"Why should Prissy get to go on another quest!? Why not let another camper go for a change!" Clarisse had been shouting for the past 6 hours. Yeah, they've been bickering like 4 years olds, or worse the gods, for 6 hours straight.

"Enough!" Mr. D finally yelled. "Let Dakota and Nick choose since you all obviously cannot come to an agreement!"

Everyone turned to where I was sitting changing a lump of coal to diamond, then emerald, then ruby and back to coal for the past 6 hours. With each change the products became more refined and closer to what my father could make with the snap of his fingers. Dropping the coal I looked back at the room with a bored expression.

"Percy." I said yawning. There was muttering of "of course he would choose Percy." as well as "children of the big three" and mostly cursing of my name.

In all honesty I trusted Percy to have my back more than anyone here and I knew he would never betray the camp. Besides we had no clue what we would be up against so why not take the most experienced fighter.

"Clarisse." Dakota's voice popped me out of my trance . I whipped my head to see Clarisse wearing that smug ass smirk of her's that really made me want to kill her.

"No!" I shouted immediately silencing the room. "There is no way in Tartarous that I'm going on a quest with her!"

"No one said you had to go death breath!" She yelled back at me still wearing that dumb smirk.

"Actually Rachel did." I told her using the same high and mighty tone.

"Okay that's it! It's decided Clara, Prissy, Nick and Dakota shall leave for the quest tomorrow at eight. Goodnight to you all, or rather good morning." Mr. D huffed in frustration getting up and leaving us. Slowly room began to empty leaving me with Ella, Rachel and Dakota.

"I'm taking Ella to stay somewhere more comfortable. You should get some rest Rachel, I'm sure that prophecy drained a lot of energy. You will also need some rest Nico, you're going to need all your strength for the coming days. Good night." Dakota said before walking out with Ella following.

"Sooo...are you excited for the quest?" Rachel asked trying to fill the awkward silence. I turned to her, my face blank of emotions and turned back to the door as if expecting Dakota to walk through it any second now. "Right." Rachel sighed. "Look, I don't know what's gonna be waiting for you guys out there, but I'd watch my back if I were you." She said before going into her temporary bedroom at camp.

I lay in bed staring at the ceiling for 10 minutes. My eyes refused to close even though they stung with tiredness. I just couldn't stop thinking about her. The way she spoke, the way she walked, about how mysterious she was about everything. Groaning I got out of bed, shrugging on a hoodie thinking it was time to visit Percy. Hopefully he wouldn't be sleeping.

Sure enough, when I entered the Poseidon cabin the son of the sea god was wide awake. My bad timing just lead me to walking in on a shirtless Percy and topless Annabeth in a very...uhm...heated make out session. Closing the door quickly I sat on the porch feeling my cheeks heat up with embarrassment.

Two minutes later out came a very bashful looking Annabeth who mumbled something along the lines of "he says you can come in now" all the while not looking at me before sprinting to Athena cabin. Releasing a breath I didn't know I had been holding I peeked my head around the door, seeing a rather pissed off Percy staring back at me. I entered the room and before I could get any words out Percy asked "how much did you see?"

"Nothing." I answered too quickly. His eyebrow raised giving me a skeptical look. "I only saw her back, I swear on River Styx." Seeing how thunder rolled in the distance and I wasn't turned into deep fried Nico he realised I was telling the truth.

"Okay...so other than embarrassing my girlfriend and ruining my night what do you want Nico?" Percy asked lying back on his bunk.

Sitting on the one opposite him I answered "Its about Dakota." He smirked raising an eyebrow and gesturing for me to continue. "I was uh..I was wondering if uhm...you would uh -"

"Spit it out Nico, I don't have all day." He said sounding more amused than anything. I scowled.

"I was wondering if you'd be cool with me asking her out." I said finally and was met with Percy's laughter. Oh whoopty-friggin-doo not only did I embarrass myself already but now I had Percy laughing at me. "You know what forget I even said anything." I said about to walk out.

"Nico wait." I turned back to Percy who now looked a little apologetic even though he was still chuckling. "Look it's really not my place to say whether or not you can date her, but she does seem to like you. Besides if I'm gonna have to deal with her dumbass boyfriend I'd rather it be you than some jerk whose just gonna hurt her." He said completely serious.

"Wow look who turned into protective big brother." I said sarcastically. "How am supposed to ask her out? I can hardly speak around her." I said groaning, hitting my head against the wall.

"No clue. Maybe if you sleep on it you'll figure it out. Good luck." Percy said yawning, opening the door for me.

"You're trying to get rid of me." I accused, narrowing my eyes at him.

"Yup." Was all the answer I got before being shoved out and having the door slam in my face.

"Nice talk." I mumbled to myself. I was about to head back to the cabin when I heard singing.

Walking behind Percy's cabin I saw Dakota sitting in the sand. The moonlight making her skin glow, the gently breeze playing in her hair. She continued to sing leaving me breathless. When the song ended she got up turning slightly in my direction and waved before jumping into the water.

Collapsing on my bed I fell asleep replaying the song that Dakota had been singing. Somehow over the past few days I'd learned to have a greater appreciation for music I thought before falling into a deep slumber.

So very sorry this took so long. Hope you enjoyed it please review. Pooh bear loves you! (And reviews!)
