So yeah… Sorry for not updating. I try to write these in advanced and post them when I get the chance. But with recent family fights, school problems, school sports, and the fact I've been a little "emo" these last couple of weeks. So after much struggle and self talks to myself and dog, they've both made me update.
… And my dog has now put his head on lap and licked my palm. Anyway hope you like this chapter, I technically wrote it before chapter three, so out might be a little jenky. So anyways, here you go, and I hope I can update the other soon.
Allen paced back and forth in front of the Infirmary door. Words muttered out of his mouth as he tried to figure out what happens to Segador. Lavi was busy balancing a hammer on his finger while Kanda just mediated in a corner. However anxiety was also present on the faces were Link, Victoria, and Damon.
Link was busy scribbling away on a notepad while Victoria kept on looking at the door waiting for the Head Nurse to come out. Damon kept flicking his lighter on and off and eventually pulled a cigarette from his back pocket and lit one. He must be a known smoker because no one reacted, not even Campus Security.
"God fucking dammit! What's taking so long!" Damon shouted after stamping out the stub of his cigarette. As if by fate, the door opened to reveal the haunting face of the Head Nurse, wiping her hands on a very bloody white cloth.
"He should be alright now. It's alright to visit him." The Head Nurse announced before walking back in and holding the door open so every could come in. Allen and Damon were the first to rush in, anxious to see what had happened to Segador. Next were Kanda and Lavi, both of whom wanted to know the fate of the younger student. Lavi suspected he was in a fight, while Kanda wished he DID fight him. The last were Link and Victoria, guarding the door to make sure Segador doesn't run out.
Said student in questioned laid on a table. Body covered in a new wave of fresh cuts and bruises. Some of the cuts looked to have fixed by hand with a stapler, while others looked as of they had been fixed by a trained professional. For once the bandages and mask was off and the light right, showing the maroon tinted skin of the boy. The places where his arms were missing skin, metal plates or bone were seen instead. Cheeks and jaw showing bone, as the rest was just a mish mash of skin sewn together. His golden eye forever starring aimlessly up as the eyelid had been burned off years ago.
"Jesus Christ." Lavi breathed seeing the sophomore's bruised and cut body. He looked like a corpse that had gone through hell in his eye. And if it weren't for the steady rise and fall of his chest, Lavi would've though he WAS dead.
"Most of Mr. Animus' body is covered in numerous injuries, some of which had heals and others still healing. These new ones are going keep him I bed for a while." The Head Nurse said to the group. "I don't know what this boy is in, but I've only seen these kinds of injuries in underground street fights, or serial killer victims. Usually those people are dead." She paused before seeing Segador's hands clench and his now bare face contort into pain.
"Although, it doesn't seem like he's in pain physically, rather mentally. I'll be telling the Dean about his… predicament. Sadly I can do nothing else for him, maybe Science Director Komui could help him more." Then she left them with a wounded student and many questions.
"Do any of you have any idea why he's like this?" Link asked writing down a report of today. Everyone shook his or her heads. "Not even you, Allen Walker?"
"The Segador I knew from years ago isn't the same one. He's... Changed, since then." Allen relented frowning slightly. "We were friends or rather brothers a long time ago, but then after an accident... We drifted apart."
"Why'd you guy drift apart?" Lavi asked.
"I was... Adopted before him, and my adopted father only wanted me. I left Segador back at there... And I never got to say sorry." Allen said keeping his tears a bay.
"I-I-It's alright. Goodbyes are t-too permanent." A slow stuttering voice croaked out alerting everyone to the newly conscious Segador. "B-B-Besides. I don't deserve it. You guys enjoy the free day. Leave me."
"But-"
"No buts "brother"." Segador said, venom tinting on the word "brother" and Allen flinched visibly, before softness entered the wounded teens eyes. "Juyst leave me be. I need to rest and all of you staring at me isn't helping." Then without any further arguments, everyone (yes even Kanda) left the Infirmary. As they all walked back to Damon's room for a meeting, they passed a beret wearing man. A pairs of glasses on his face as he was being lead by Lenalee.
"Is this... Him?" Lenalee asked looking at the unconscious Segador. The golden eye looking straight up at them stared unblinkingly. "Is this the one who hurt Haku?"
"... Yes..."
Six hours ago…
Segador looked at the body of the comatose white haired woman. Her eyes closed as Segador's felt tears fall out of his. He wiped them quickly, the salt in them stinging his scars. Pulling the mask and bandages off his face quickly he grabbed a tissue from a counter and quickly wipes his face.
Rewrapping the bandages and placing his mask again, he turns to look at the woman before opening the door and walking out. Walking through the hospitals halls, he feels the itch in his skin from the smell of hospitals. When he got out he felt relief flood through his system before walking down the dark streets. With only the city's nightlife out, Segador felt a little relaxed. Not having to watch his back was… nice.
"And foolish!" A voice in his head cackled. He only sighed as he ignored it. "Oh come one kid, I know you can hear me?"
"Yes, and so what of it?" Segador grunted, teeth locking together as he resisted an urge to groan.
"You need me." The voice said before Segador's legs moved in a different direction than back to the school.
"Where are we going?" He snarled trying to move, but couldn't seem to find the strength to.
"We're going to have a little fun boy." The voice laughed before Segador soon found himself in front of a rather familiar place. A dirt covered door with an eye slit in a the wall in front of him. Raising his hand shakily, he slams on it three times, stops, then does twice. The eye slit opens to reveal a single black beady eye.
"Pass code?" The eye says, a male's raspy and shaky voice asked.
"Counterpart." Segador growls out. The eye widens considerably before it opened, revealing a rather scarred and muscular individual.
"Welcome back Segador. Didn't think you could hold back for long." He laughs before Segador nods and follows him. The smell of blood, sweat, and dirt fills his senses as an old more barbaric part of him reawakens. All he remembers before waking up in a dumpster is fighting, a lot of fighting.
