So I started this chapter right after I posted the last one. I'm in California and it's cold because I'm in Northern CA. So I guess I'll just write all day. Anyway here is chapter 4! THANK YOU FOR REVIEWS!

"Hmm. Welcome to drama class studentes! I'm happy to see all of your bright faces today!" Mrs. Azalea or "Aunt Wu" as she likes to be called, was trying to perk us up. She had wild grey hair pulled into the back of her head with shiny chopsticks. She had purple eyeshadow and red lipstick.

"We are going to be putting on two preformances this year. The first one is required. We are preforming the clasic Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespear. That will be preformed just before Christmas break." She explained.

Fantastic. I had to do a play I didn't even understand. I tried to read that book once and I didn't even make it halfway. It made no sense and half the words weren't even words!

"Then we have a chioce play. We are going to have a vote between Disney's The Little Mermaid, or Disney's Beauty and the Beast!" She put her hands up in the air and looked up at the sound booth dreamily. "Now I know you all are going to want Romeo or Juliet, but not everyone can be. If you're uncomfortable with being on stage, you can join the backstage crew!" She passed out scripts to us all.

I flipped through it. It looked like a few hours of torture. We where supposed to read through the scripts for the last half -hour of class, but I looked around for my friends insted.

I saw Aang, Zuko and Jenn. Oh yea, and Azula and her little crew.

Suddenly I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turnned around to see the last person I wanted to see. Jet. Jet had talked to me briefly when I was in the shower that morning.

"I looked up you're name." He whispered with a smile on his face. "It's a traditional Japanese name that means wanting hope."

"Yea that's great but I'm kinda trying to concentrate on my script here.." I whispered back as I showed him my copy.

"Yes you seem very in focus little waterbender. You would make a good Juliet." He leaned back in his chair and put his feet up on the seats.

I sighed and shook my head. I tried to get back to the script but it was utterly impossible. Then there was that whole Aang or Zuko thing going through my head. I wish I could just take both. Zuko seems more romantic... but Aang is the sweetest guy I have ever met. I felt liike I could tell him anything and I have only known him for 2 days. Then Jet seemed to like me in a weird sort of way.

LUNCH

"So, Zuko.. Are we still going to Wawa for some edible food tonight?" Toph asked as she poked at her Jell-O.

"Yep. We need to sneak out after midnight." He laughed nervously.

"WHAT?" The whole table yelled at the poor kid.

"Teachers are all over campus until midnight to catch people like us. So we need to go at midnight!" Zuko explained. "I'll meet you guys at the front door exactaly then and we will go. Bring your own money I can't afford to share."

"This is crazy." Aang sighed. "But it's also essentail for our survival here." He tossed his unusualy green apple in the trashcan behind him.

"What happens if we get caught?" Jenn panicked a little bit. "I have never gotten in trouble before! I don't want this on my record!"

"If we plan this out and are quiet we will be fine, Jenn." Zuko reasured her.

Her cheeks turned a light pink and she looked down. "Thanks, Zuko."

Oh no. Now I have competition... someoene I actualy happened to like. Well there is always Aang.

Science was pretty fun today. I sat by Aang again and we where assigned lab partners. We where in our chemestry unit and we started mixing things right away.

"Now, one drop of the third tube goes into the beaker but JUST ONE DROP!" Admiral Zhao yelled.

"I'm nervous." I admitted to Aang as I held the dropper over the beaker. The kid in front of us put too much in and it leaked out, burnning his hand.

"It's going to be fine. I'll help you." He offered as he put his hand on my hand that held the dropper. He put just enough pressure on my hand to have the perfevt amount come out.

I sighed. "Thanks Aang." I blushed a bit. That was the first time we made contact on purpous.

"No problem. I think we did it right. Is it supposed to turn blue?" He examiend it closer, then wrote something down in his notebook.

"Very good you two." Admiral Zhao praised."Write down your observations."

I wrote down what I saw as quickly as possible so I could have more time to talk to Aang.

"I didn't know you where the Avatar." I told him. "That must be what your scholarship is for."

"Yea. I had a few others, but I liked this school the most. The thing that sucks is colleges are trying to pull me out of highschool to go there. But they just want me because of my bending. Not because I'm smart." He was looking down when he talked. I could tell he was actualy sad. Just looking at him sad made me sad too.

"Oh Aang.." I put my hand on his shoulder.

"It's fine. I also want to take each bending class all year. A couple months is'nt enough to master the elements. I have to take seperate before and after school classes with a mentor." He sounded a little lighter and happier when he spoke.

"Alright class bring your beakers up to me I will grade them and hace them recorded by tomorrow." Zhao interupted my wonderful conversation with Aang and then the bell rang. Now I have to go to language arts and work on grammar. Blech.

OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOo

"So, who's ready for a Wawa run?" Aang asked as he sat down empty handed. "No cafeteria crap tonight. Saving room for real food. Plus I can't stand the smell of their fish."

"Me neither. Are they supposed to be shrimp?" Toph asked as she picked one up.

"I don't even know anymore. The stuff got progressively worse as the years went by." Zuko sighed as he leaned back in his chair.

"Well after tonight we will never be hungary again! As long as nobody catches us." Sokka looked like he was posing for a photo in a history book.

Just then, Principal Ozai walked onto the small stage. "Good evening everyone. I just want to remind you, sudent council elections will be comming up in 2 weeks. Anyone who would like to run should put their name in the box by the office." He spoke way to loud into the microphone. I noticed Toph covering her ears. "One more announcement. Any students caught out of their building after ten will be suspended for 5 days. No food is aloud in the dorms, and the staff has a right to search a students room at anytime. That will be all." He walked off the stage and into a door.

Everyone at the table was silent.

"What are we going to do?" Jenn whispered.

"Oh we're still going. I don't care if I get suspended I need my food!" Sokka cried.

"We can make it if we're careful." I whispered quietly as if someone was listening to us from another table or something.

We where going to Wawa. Nobody would stop us tonight.

"It's almost eleven." Jenn said as she looked up at the clock. "I'm so exited to do this! I've never broken the rules before!"

I watched her pull on her grey sweatpants and blue top. She pulled her long blonde hair into a ponytail. I guess the dress code for tonight was pajamas. I wondered what the cashier would say to a bunch of teenagers in pajamas buying half their food at midnight.

"I just need to get all of my homework done before we go! I don't want to do my homework at one A.M when we get back!" Toph sighed as she opened her binder and started punching little dots in a foam board.

Jenn smiled when she saw Toph working."Do you think you're starting to get brail yet, Toph?" She asked.

"Not entirely, but I know A through Q in the brail alphabet so far." She responded as she continued working.

Now we just had to wait.

At about ten fifty eight, we heard 3 light knocks on our door. That must be the boys idea of a signal. Without saying a word, we grabbed our money and our swetars and headed out the door.

We where careful not to make any noise while we walked down the stone steps to the front door of our dorm where Zuko, Sokka and Aang where standing.

Sokka smiled and waved while everyone else crept out the door without a sound.

We sucsessfuly made it off campus and onto the main road. I was just a little nervous wandering into the dark, but I quickly shook the feeling off and continued walking.

"We did it!" Zuko whispered. I imagined he had a big smile on his face, but I couldent see it in the dark.

"I know I can't belive we didn't get caught by teachers or anything!" Jenn exclaimed. "Wawa here we come!"

"Zuko, where exactaly is Wawa?" I asked suspiciously. If he didn't know where it is, I would kill him right there. I wasn't sneaking out for nothing!

"Relax, Katara. If we keep heading this way, we will be there in ten-" Zuko was cut off by an unfamiliar voice behind us.

"You're going the wrong way you know."

We all screamed and turnned around. Someone hid behind me. A bright light was shinned in my face. It took a second for my eyes to fix themselves on who was standing in front of us. I could just see a tall figure with dark hair. I could smell alcholol and cigarettes. I hoped it wasn't some serial killer or some creepy guy trying to shove us in his van..

My eyes could see now. Jet. No. You have got to be kidding me. This is not happening. Not now! The shower incident was sure to come up as well as his weird flirting. I coulden't even speak.

"Who are you?" Sokka lowered his voice and stood in a defensive stance. "Don't hurt us and we won't hurt you!"

Jet laughed a bit before speaking. "I'm not going to hurt you, I just want to go get some snacks." He lit a ciggarette and put it in his mouth. "I'm friends with waterbender over there." He pointed his flashlight on me.

Everyone looked in my direction for an explination. "We're not friends." The words hurt comming out. I didn't want to talk to this kid.

"Wait, how do you two know each other?" Zuko asked confused. "I didn't know you liked hanging out with peopele like him."

"I don't! He is just obsessed with me or something! He wont leave me alone!" I defended myself. I didn't want people thinking I liked this kid.

"Yes I believe we met in the showes this morning." He smiled and everyone in the group froze and looked at me like I was some kind of slut.

"HE waltzed right into the girls showers and opened MY curtain to compliment my voice!" I was screaming now. I wasn't going to make myself look like a slut in front of two guys and my brother.

"I don't even know what to say.." Sokka looked down at the ground. I hated it when he thought badly of me.

"You know what? If freaky high guy over here wants to get us on the right track to a gas station let's let him becasue I don't know about you guys, but I'm starving and I can't take another school lunch ok?" Toph walked over to jet and yelled, "TAKE ME TO WAWA."

They both started to walk away and everyone slowly followed. "This is such a bad idea." Zuko whispered to himself.

Jenn was walking silently by my side. She attemted to break the ice in the most awkward way possible. "So did he really see you naked?"

"Yes."

"Was he naked too?"

"Yes."

"Did he have a big-"

"I don't know I didn't want to look."

"Oh."

It took no more than a half hour to get there.
"See. I told you people you could trust me to lead you to Wawa." Jet held the door open for us as we all walked in without saying a word.

The bright lights and white floors stung my eyes. The girl working at the counter looked so intensely bored se didn't even look at us.

The nexy hour was spent stocking up on friuts, chips, little boxes for cereal, bottles of gatorade and water and anything else we could find. Jet asked for 3 packs of cigarettes and the casheir didn't even ID him.

"Now we can survive for a week or so if we ration and share our food. We can't keep one big stockpile or else if our rooms get serched they can't take away all of our food." Zuko shared his second plan about storing our food for a good long time before letting us check out.

Sneaking back on to campus was harder. First we had to have someone climb over the gate (Me) who everyone throws the bags too, then they all climb over and run to the dorms. If we're lucky, nobody will check the security footage.

I fell behind the group. Toph had my bag anyway. I looked over my shoulder and saw Aang. I walked by him in silence for a whiel until he spoke up.

"Was he lying?"

"Who?"

"Jet. About meeting you naked and in the showers."

"Oh umm.. no."

I wondered why he cared. So I just decided to be blod and ask.

"Does it matter?"

"I guess not if you where comfortable with it. But if he ever trys anything I'll personaly kick his ass." He smiled a bit at the end of the sentence. The last part made me smile but the first part bugged me. I wasn't comfortable with it. I felt violated. I just didn't want any fights on the second day.

"Thanks Aang." I looked into his eyes and smiled.

I walked into my dorm at about 3 A.M. Great. A whole two hours of sleep tonight.
