Chapter 10:

(Rose P.O.V)

Looking out the window at the night sky, wondering if Rosalie and James are alright. Refusing to talk to anyone as we head back to court. Sitting next to me, Dimitri squeezed my hand.

"Everything is going to be alright, Roza," he assured me. "We're going to find the kids."

"When you say we're do you mean everybody, but me?" I asked in a low voice.

So much for refusing to talk anyone.

"Roza, you know you can't go."

I do know. If I go out to Las Vegas with the other guardians then I'll be putting my baby in danger and I can't do that. So yes, I do know.

"If I go who would make sure little man doesn't try to eat the glue again," I joked, trying to lighten the mood after everything that happened tonight.

One art project ago, I learned not to leave Tyler alone with a bottle of glue, stickers and sparkles. I turned my back to do something real quick and came back to see Tyler with stickers all over him and sparkles in his hair; thinking the glue was wipe cream, he decided to eat it.

Shaking his head, Dimitri laughed. "We diffidently don't want a repeat of last time."

We ended up taking him the medical center where the doctor had to do something to him, I don't know what though. After that I hid the glue from him and only bringing it out when we're making art projects together.

Finally after hours of riding in the jet, we finally arrived at court where my little boy and Sparky were waiting for us. Stepping down the stairs, I braced myself for Tyler's bear hugs.

"Mommy! Daddy!" he called, running toward us.

Throwing his little arms around me neck, he squeezed me tightly. Kissing his little face made me miss Rosalie even more.

"I missed you so much, sweetie,' I told him.

"I missed you too, mommy," he said.

"Were you a good boy?"

I didn't even bother to say their names, knowing Christian was in the secret too along with God knows who else. The only people I know are Eddie, Lissa, Hans, my parents, Dimitri's family and Christian. I didn't even think Tyler knows.

"I was a super good boy, but Sparky was a pain because he snores really loudly in his sleep."

"I do not and don't call me that!" Christian protested, looking outraged.

"Do too," Tyler argued, smiling. "Sparky."

"Why don't we go get our bags," Dimitri suggested, turning to go back into the jet.

"Come on, Tyler," I said, grabbing his hand and pulling him toward the jet. "We have a lot of bags to carry."

I know was being a bit rude to them, but I had every right to. They kept a major secret from Dimitr and me. A secret that is not easily forgiven.

"No, mommy I got this," Tyler told me, taking my make-up bag from me.

After bring all our bags into our apartment, I collapsed on the couch.

"Tyler, do you know where Rosalie and James are?" I asked, wanting to know what they told him.

"Lissa said they're at a friend's house," he answered, climbing on the couch with me. "They been at their friend's house for a really long time. I miss my sister."

"I miss her too, kiddo."

What other lies did they feed us? How am I suppose to trust them now? I sighed in frustration. It makes me question everything they ever told me. I know I lie, but never about something this major.

"This is the last bag," Dimitri said, setting it down next to the others before taking a seat beside me. "I have to talk to Hans about going to Vegas, but I doubt he's going to let me go."

"Why's that?" I asked in confusion. "They need a badass God to go with them and bring back our baby girl and her best friend."

"Because we're still on our honeymoon."

"Our honeymoon ended the minute Lissa and Eddie showed up and-" Tyler was to busy playing with his belly button to pay attention to Dimitri and me. "-and spilled the secret about our daughter."

Knowing I had to fix my relationships with my best friends, even though I'm still mad at them, before I lose them forever. Dimitri and I parted ways; me going to Eddie's apartment while Dimitri talks to Hans.

"Mommy, where we going?" Tyler asked, holding my hand.

"We're going to see Eddie," I answered, hoping he's there and wants to talk to me.

(Eddie P.O.V)

"Eddie, Rose is your best friend. You'll never lose her," Jill assured me, playing with my sandy-blonde hair. "Even though she's mad that you kept a major secret from her. She probably won't get over it, but she'll learn to live pass it and move on."

Jill, always trying to look at the bright side of things. Knowing she right and that I have to get off this bed and fix my relationship with my little sister before it's too late.

Before I could choose weather to get up or not, there was a knock at the door.

"I'll get it," she said, getting up and answering the door.

Hearing voices from the living room, I wonder who was here. My question was answered when Rose came into my bedroom. Shutting the door, she climbed on the bed next to me.

"I guess you know why I'm here," she said uneasily. "I'm sorry for the way I acted at the house. I'm just mad that you didn't tell me."

"You don't have to be sorry. I do," I told her. "We shouldn't have kept it a secret from you and Dimitri. We're just trying to keep you both safe."

"It seems lately that everyone is trying to keep each other safe, but instead of keeping them safe, we're just creating secrets that hurts them more than anything."

When did my little sister become so wise? She's right though. By keeping the kids being kidnapped from them, we ended up telling lies that grew and grew until someone started to feel guilty. The truth comes out and everyone is angry. Relationships fall apart, people stop talking to each other, but not this relationship.

I'll do whatever I can to still be friends with Rose. To still have someone who understands the same things you do. Someone that knows what's going when everyone around you don't. Someone you can trust with your life. That someone for me is my little sister, Rose.

"I know the pass is unforgivable, but let's put it behind us anyways and move with life," I told her, glad that we're working this out. "The memories will always be with us, to remind us of the hurt and anger we once held. You just to remember that there is a future waiting for you ahead."

"Wow! I never thought I live to see the day where my big brother grows up and becomes so wise," Rose laughed.

"You're very wise yourself."

"But I still know how to have fun."

We both laughed. Forgetting the reason why we're upset. Wrapping my arms around her, I gave her a big, but careful hug. It doesn't help much when her stomach is in the way, but I didn't tell her that. Knowing she'd punched me if I did.

"I think we should talk to Lissa," Rose said, pulling away from our hug. "She's probably not doing so well with everything that's happening."

Nodding my head in agreement. Leaving Tyler and Jill at the apartment as head for Lissa's and Christian's suite. Knocking on the door a few times before Christian answered it. Motioning for us to come, he shut the door behind him.

"Where's Lissa?" I asked, not seeing her.

Christian nodded his head toward the bedroom. Taking few deep breathes, we went to see Lissa who was doing the same thing I was. Laying in bed with the lights off, but she was crying.

"Rose!" Lissa cried, running to her best friend. "I'm so sorry for everything!"

"Liss, it's okay," Rose assured her, rubbing her back. "We're going to have a family dinner at my apartment tonight, so we can get all this figured out."

"We are?" Christian asked, looking uneasy about this. "What about-"

"Yes, we are," Rose interrupted, shooting daggers at him with her eyes. "We need to get things figured out, so we all can move on to more important matters like praying that the guardians find the kids and bring them home safely."

Christian didn't say anything as Rose continued soothed a still crying Lissa. After a while Christian and I got tired of listening to all the girly talk, so we went out to the living room.

"Even though Rose annoys me a lot," Christian began, handing me a glass of water. "I'm still glad we didn't lose her or Dimitri. I love having them around and all."

I nodded my head in agreement. "They'll always have our backs no matter what happens."

"Why aren't you with the other guardians in Vegas?"

Rolling my eyes, I replayed the conversation I had with my father. Most of it was him telling me reasons why I couldn't go and me standing there wanting to yell at him for treating my like a child. When he is going to learn that I'm not a child anymore?

"Hans didn't want me to go because he thinks it's too dangerous for me or something like that."

I wasn't really paying attention to him after he kept telling me no this and no that. Sooner or later he'll figure out that I'm an adult and I'll like to be treated one. I really wish my mom was here to help me knock some sense into him. That and I want to see her. We talked a few times on the phone, but that's it.

"Doesn't he know you're a guardian too?" Christian asked, taking a sip of his water. "Did Belikov get to go?"

"Yep," I said popping the 'p.'

"He's messed up."

"Who? Dimitri?"

"No, Hans," Christian conformed.

He's not messed up. He's just way to overprotective.
