Chapter 14:

(Rosalie P.O.V)

"Rosalie, look who's here," a female guardian said beside me.

Setting my cup down on the table, I turned to see my father and Hans walking toward our group with a bunch of other guardians I didn't know behind them.

"Daddy!" I called, running after him.

"Dimka!" James said in Russian accent, running with me.

Jumping into his open arms, I hugged him tightly afraid of letting go. Sooner or later, James wrapped his little arms around my daddy's legs.

"Neither of them are hurt," the same female guardian said to Hans. "Some human couple found the kids and drove them here."

Man, I wish I could remember her name. She stayed with us for seemed like years until daddy and the others showed up even then I couldn't remember her name. Shrugging my small shoulders, I toned back in to what the grown ups were saying.

"Did you see the men who captured them?" Hans asked the no name female guardian.

"The kids said they ran away from them when the men weren't paying attention," she answered as three male guardians came up behind her.

Rosie, who are all these people?

Looking down at him, I saw that my daddy placed his hand James' head. I gave him a small smile, hopping to assure him that everything is going to be alright.

"If the men are still in Vegas then you might want to get the kids out of here," a young male said beside no name female.

Noticing my daddy hasn't said a signal word, I turned to face him. He had what mommy calls it his guardians mask on, blocking all his emotions.

"Daddy, I want to go home," I said in a small voice.

I really miss everyone at home! At home is where those horrible men can't get to us. We need to be going home, not staying around and talking to one another.

I wanna go home, Rosie.

I could James' cries in my head as well as my own. Hiding my head in my daddy's neck, I cried softly. Why can't they see we don't want to be anymore? When are we going to leave?

"Nicolas, is right," my daddy said at last. "We have to get out of Vegas before the men find out where the kids ran off to."

The others mumbled what I think was an agreement at what my daddy said. A few more words exchanged before my daddy picked up James and carried both of us outside.

Rosie, are you alright? Please, answer me, Rosie!

Turning my head to the side, I saw James looking at me with concern.

"I'm fine," I whispered. "I just really want to go home."

"We're going home, princess," my daddy said quietly. "Everything is going to be alright."

I smiled up at him, trusting my daddy to get us all home safely. He set James and me down on the ground, telling us to stay near the cars while he talks to Hans and a few other guardians.

"I'll open the door, so you kiddos can climb in," a different young male guardian said, meeting my smile with his own. "How did you manage to get away from a bunch of older men?"

It wasn't easy, I can tell you that! The was a lot running and hiding involved.

"When you have a best friend like Rosie...well all I can tell you is she's the best," James beamed, grinning like the little boy he is. "I mean she thought of the plan to escape the those horrible men. Rosie was an amazing at-"

Somewhere in the middle of James telling the guardian how amazing I am and thanks to my plan we're away from them, did I wonder a little ways from them. Circling one of the guardian car, I saw a figure in the shadows.

The figure looked both tall and muscular, but was nothing compared to daddy who was really tall and very muscular. Coming out of the shadows, the figure gave me a warm, friendly smile.

I smiled back at the young male dhampir while wondering how he brushes the red mess on his head. Giggling to myself, I noticed the man shaking his head back and forth with the smile still on his face.

His bright blue eyes shone in the sun light as he stood there watching me. I didn't know who this man was, but for some reason I felt very comfortable with him. Waving my small hand at him to come over, I saw him shake his head again and point toward the many guardians in and out of the building.

He can't come over because the guardians might attack him. I know I just got rescued after being kidnapped by men, but this man wasn't one of my kidnappers. He was different. He was the person who I saw in my mommy's photos when she was back in high school.

Who was he's name again? I couldn't remember neither could I take my eyes off of him.

"Rosalie," I heard my daddy call from somewhere behind me.

Turning around, I shouted, "coming."

When I looked across the street again, I saw the man wasn't standing there anymore. Just a bunch of random people I didn't know. Maybe I just imaged him. Guess I'll never know. Sighing, I walked back around the side of the car where everyone was waiting for me.

Finding my daddy was easy, he was tallest one in the group. He was also the most unhappiest too. No one said a word as I climbed inside the now open car. Next to me, James looked even more worried than before.

My daddy climbed in last and took a seat next to me. I wanted to hide my face in his chest and have him hold me forever, but I was afraid him might be mad at me for not listening to him.

James was lost in his world as we made our way to the airport, I hope. All I wanted to do was go home and cry myself to sleep. These few days have been nothing, but horrible.

Seeing my small hand be covered by a large one, I looked up to see my daddy. Scooting closer to him, he wrapped an arm around me. Closing my eyes, I enjoyed the closeness of my daddy next to me.

Lifting one of my arms that wasn't clenching to my daddy, I let James lay his head down on my lap while my free arm went around his body. Soon after I fell into a deep sleep.

(Dimitri P.O.V)

Having my little girl and her best friend sleeping peacefully together beside me is the happiest feeling in the world. I was overwhelmed with relief when I saw them both sitting at a table eating with no injures.

Getting closer and closer to the airport while we were also getting closer and closer to home. I couldn't wait to get my Roza and little man, to have my family in one place again.

"The other guardians found them," Hans said, looking down at his cell phone. "They're taking them to court, but on a different airplane."

"There's going to be a trial?" Jeremy asked from the backseat. "Did they find who was behind this kidnapping?"

Hans nodded his head while still looking down at his phone. "Robert Doru."

That name made my blood boil inside. Last time I saw that man, he was passed out in a bush where I left him. The only reason I can think of for him coming of the dark is to seek revenge.

He's not really interested in Rosalie and James, all Robert wants is Rose. Kidnapping the kids was Robert's way of hurting Rose. Showing her how it feels to lose the ones you love.

Robert's not an evil person like Victor was. He remained hidden until...I don't really know what got him to come out of his hiding place. I'm guessing it has to do with Victor.

"Daddy," Rosalie's soft voice broke through my thoughts. "Are we there yet?"

"Yes, sweetie. We here," I answered, kissing the top her head. "Why don't you wake up, James?"

She looked down at the sleepy James in her lap. "James! It's time to wake up. We're here."

"No!" James whined, covering Rosalie's mouth with his hand. "Ew! Rosie, that's gross!"

I laughed quietly as I watched James wipe his spit-filled hand on the seat and Rosalie giggling at him happily.

"Did you really have to spit in my hand?" James exclaimed, looking at his best friend like she's crazy. "I was...hey we're here!"

"Duh silly, that's why I woke you up," Rosalie said matter of fact. "You're a dork, James."

Coming to a complete stop a few feet away, we all got of the car. Rosalie and James walked hand in hand next to me as we made our way toward the airplane. A few feet away, I could see another airplane with at least five guardian cars next to it.

Robert and his men got of out the cars with the help of the guardians since they were all handcuffed. I shook my head as one of the men tried and failed at running away.

Turning my attention back on my little girl and her best friend, I went behind them as we climbed into the airplane. They ran to the far backseats and looked out the window.

"Daddy, is there snacks on here?" Rosalie asked, reminding me of her mother. No matter what's going on in the world, it's always a good time for food.

"I'll see if they have any," I said. "You kids stay here, alright?"

"Don't worry, Dimka," James said, smiling at me brightly. "I won't let this silly head out of my sight."

James turned toward Rosalie and he's eyes went wide when she wasn't there.

"Rosalie!" James called, looking under the seats. "Rosalie, where are you?"

"I'm right here," was all she said as James glared at her.

"Don't do that! You almost gave me a heart attack!"

Rosalie just laughed at him, wrapping her arms around his head and pulling him for a hug. Yep, my little princess is in safe hands! Feeling my phone vibrate in my pocket, I pulled it out. It was a text message from a number I didn't know.

You don't want to do this, Belikov. You want to know what happens when people betray from me? I get angry, very angry. We both know what will happen if people found out that Rose is pregnant and your the father. They'll lock her up and do God knows what to her.

I'll make sure they know too. You might them all fooled, but with a little help from me. The entire Moroi world will know. Do you really want to see your wife being poked at? No, I didn't think so. If you want to prevent that then you have to do something for me and you can't tell no one.

"Who's that daddy?" Rosalie asked, starring at me.

"I don't know, sweetie," I answered, starring at the message before me.

I know I probably said this before...but I really love Rosalie's & James' friendship! They're adorable together!

Whatcha think?

Thanks(:
