Chapter 15:

(Rose P.O.V)

"Sorry, I'm late!" Mia said as she rushed into the kitchen with a pan of yummy cupcakes. "I was taking care of my dad."

"I have one, pleaseee?" Tyler asked, giving Mia his puppy face. "I said please."

I smiled at my little boy who thinks saying please will get him what he wants. It works half of the time.

"Aww." Setting the pan down on the counter, Mia picked Tyler up. "You're so adorable."

"Does that mean I get cupcake?" he asked, smiling.

"Well...you see the thing is kiddo," Mia told him. "You haven't had dinner yet and your mommy will hurt me if I gave you a cupcake before dinner."

Tyler turned to face me. "Mommy, I please have a cupcake." Mia set him down on the ground, so he can run over to me. "I been a good boy."

"You can have a cupcake after dinner," I said, kissing his frowning face. "I love you."

"I love you too, mommy," he mumble, turning away to go play with Gabriel.

I know, kiddo. I really want a cupcake too, but we have to wait until dinner. Man, I have grown up. A little. Not that much. I'm still the same wild, dangerous and insubordinate Rose everyone knows and loves.

When Tyler left, Eddie came to sit down next to me. Pulling out his phone, he started to text someone. A few minutes later, my phone lit up with a new message. Checking the message, I saw it was from Eddie. I looked him, wondering why he would text me when he's sitting right there?

Eddie: I thought Mia didn't know how to cook let alone bake?

Rose: I guess her father taught her how to. I don't know? Why does it matter?

Why does Eddie care if Mia knows how to cook or not?

Eddie: It matters because she hates getting dirty and when you're cooking you sometimes get messy!

That's true! Mia does hate getting dirty, but why does it matter still? I mean people change, don't they?

Eddie: It's just weird to see Mia cook anything and-

"Rosemarie, who on earth could you be texting right now?" my mother asked, looking outraged to see her daughter texting at a family dinner which was my idea.

Little did she know that Eddie was texting too since he had his phone in his lap where she can't see it, unlike me who has it on the counter for everyone to see.

"I bet it's Dimitri," Jill chimed in, smiling at me. "Everyone knows they can't stay away from each other!"

"Jill, as much as I love you," I said sweetly. "I don't think you'll last very long in Canada."

She just stared at me in confusion. Shrugging my shoulders, I continued to read the message Eddie sent me.

Eddie: and do you notice she always disappears for a long time?

No, I haven't because I'm too busy worrying about Dimitri and Rosalie! I sighed, wondering when they're coming home. I really wish Dimitri would answer my calls or at least text me back.

Rose: No, I haven't notice.

Eddie: I just think it's weird that she disappears for a long time and no one knows where she is.

Rose: That is weird.

Placing my hands on top of my phone, I turned toward Mia who was talking to Sonya about the different kinds of soups that would go great with honey rolls.

"What about tomato soup?" Mia asked, wrapping her hair around her finger. "I mean honey and tomatoes do great things to your skin and hair."

Leave it to Mia to talk about skin and hair and what makes them great.

"Hey, Mia," I said, interrupting her mid-sentence. "What have you been up to lately? I mean with everything that's going on, I was wondering you disappear to?"

"Yeah," Lissa agreed, adding more ice to the pitcher. "I was looking for you the other day, but no one knew where you were."

Scanning the kitchen, I noticed everyone was nodded their head at what Lissa had said.

"I was with someone," Mia said with a shrug like it was no big deal.

I was about to ask who she was with when the front door opened. Turning my attention to the love of my life and our little girl, I almost screamed enjoy. Almost. I really wish I could run, so I throw myself in Dimitri's strong arms.

"Mommy!" Rosalie exclaimed, running toward me. "Mommy! Mommy!"

Getting off of the stole, I kneeled down to her level. Wrapping her arms around my neck, my little girl hugged me tightly. Sort of. I mean I don't have that big of a stomach, not yet anyways.

"I miss you so much, mommy," Rosalie sobbed into my neck.

Pulling back, I cupped her face in my hands. I wiped her tear streaked cheeks with my thumbs. "Oh, Rosie."

I can't image what she and James must have been through. Feeling like the worst mother in world for letting her get kidnapped, I hugged my daughter close to me. I became a parent with little knowledge of how to raise a child.

I thought having Dimitri there to help me will make being a parent easier, but as time went on I realized that being a parent is never easy. No matter how many children you have or how old they are.

"Are you going to alright," I whispered in her ear, still hugging her.

I didn't dare to look at Dimitri or anyone else, afraid of what I might find. Do they think I'm horrible mother?

"I'm okay, mommy," Rosalie assured me, pulling back to smile at me. "They didn't hurt us, but we were tide up a few times."

"Rosie!" Tyler yelled, wobbling toward his sister. "Rosie, I miss you."

"I miss you, Ty," Rosalie said, kissing her little brother on the cheek.

"Wanna go play?"

"Sure, but I'm talking to mommy right now."

"Okay," Tyler said, turning toward Dimitri. "Daddy, where you go?"

Rosalie turned back to me. "It's not your fault, mommy. No matter what people say about you, to me you're the best mommy ever and I love you more than bacon!"

"More than bacon?" I asked, laughing.

Nodding her head up and down, Rosalie kissed my forehead before grabbing her brother's hand and running to his room. I watched them until they disappeared behind the door.

Feeling strong hands grab my sides as I slowly stand up. Looking up at Dimitri, I saw nothing, but kindness and worry. Not caring that we have friends and family watching us, I kissed my Russian husband with all I have.

"Did you catch the bad guys on your trusty steed?" I laughed, wanting to lighten the mood. "I bet they were no match for my Russian cowboy."

"Oh, Roza," Dimitri breathed, shaking his head back and forth. "Are you ever going to stop with the cowboy jokes and what not?"

"Let's see...," I said, tapping my cheek with my finger. "Mmmm...nope. Sorry."

"You're lucky you're pregnant."

"Why?"

Am I lucky? I'm opposite of that! Being pregnant comes with side affects you know! Like not being to kick ass! That is a major deal for me.

"Because I can't throw you on the couch and tickle you until you begged for mercy," he answered, smiling at me.

I hate when he tickles me and he knows it too! Curse me and my ticklish body!

"There's two things wrong with that sentence," I noted. "One, I don't beg unless you refuse to make me bacon or give me a massage. Even then I don't beg, I just simply guilt you into doing them." I hurried on as Dimitri opened his mouth to speak. "And two, you can't throw me on the couch because you'll brake it and have to buy a new one."

Dimitri still didn't get a chance to speak when Sonya announced it's dinner time. Finally, I'm starving! I kissed his lips before I went to get two plates to make Rosalie's and Tyler's food.

"Nice play," Eddie said, patting me on the back. "You pretty much left him speechless."

I know how to shut my man up. Eddie hurried away as Dimitri came to my side. Leaning down close to my ear, he whispered,

"I'm going to get you back, Roza."

"I'm so scared," I whispered back, meeting his gaze.

"Mommy!" Tyler called from somewhere behind me. "Mommy! Daddy!"

"We're right here," Dimitri called back, taking Tyler's plate from me.

"I hungry!"

"I know, kiddo. I have your plate."

"Mommy," Rosalie said, coming up next to me. "Can I have plate, please?"

"I have your plate, sweetie," I answered, handing it to her. "Get behind daddy and Tyler, okay."

After everyone got their food and drinks, we all sat around the dinner table. Talking and laughing as we ate our meals. Exchanging a few secret text messages with Eddie when no one was looking.

I couldn't stop laughing as my mom told us about how my old man was flirting with her.

"I mean you can totally tell he was flirting," my mother said, rolling her eyes at the memory. "He kept saying all this weird pick up lanes and-"

"Hey!" my father exclaimed, looking my mother in outrage. "They worked didn't they. I mean you have to give me some credit for flirting with a badass guardian who can kick my ass-"

"Dad!" I yelled, not believing he was cursing in front of the kids.

"Mommy, what does flirting mean?" Rosalie asked, taking a bite of her fruit salad.

"It's like playing," Sonya chimed in. "Your grandpa was playing with grandma."

"Anyways," my father said, turning toward my mother again. "I am a very brave man who has a beautiful woman who-"

"-can you kick your butt if you miss behave," my mother finished, stuffing a roll into his open mouth.

Yep, this is what my night consumes of. After everyone was fed and the dishes were put away, it was way pass the kids' bedtime. I promised to meet up with Eddie tomorrow, so we can over a few things.

While Dimitri was tucking the kids in bed, I was in the kitchen eating cupcakes and drinking milk. Yep, I love my life. Sometimes. Others times it's a royal pain and all I want to do is rip my hair.

Then I remember I love my hair and so does Dimitri. Yeah, so ripping my hair out is out of the question. Plus, it'll probably be very painful. I was too lost in thought to notice the arms wrapping around my stomach until it was too late.

I froze mid-chew, knowing I've been caught red-handed. Looking up at Dimitri, I smiled without showing my teeth. I held up my half-eaten cupcake to his lips, hoping I could get off easily.

"Don't think you can get away this easily by shoving a cupcake to my lips," he said before he opened his mouth and ate my cupcake. "Come on, Roza. It's bedtime."

Sleeping does sound good right now. Sighing, I let him drag me to bed.

Yay! Everyone is home safely!

I wonder if Dimitri will tell Rose about the unexpected message he got on the plane? And what about the man Rosalie saw in Vegas?

Thanks a lot(:
