I feel bad for neglecting this story.
Loki
Two weeks past since I walked out of Tony's apartment. Bruce, Steve and, Thor had all been trying to make me feel better. It was hard though, Tony had totally shitted on me. I worked, went to class and then back to the dorms. Lucky that Tony dropped out of college so I would never see him. Now, in my Egyptian Mythology class, I was thinking about Tony, for some reason. Steve said he went over there to see how he was doing and he said Tony was a mess. For some reason, that made me feel better about this, it showed that Tony knew he messed up.
"Mister Odinson, are you listening?" Professor Sullivan called from her desk. I looked up and nodded. "Good, then can you tell me the appearance of Thoth?" She asked, crossing her tan arms. I snorted at the question.
"He was a man with the head of an ibis holding a writing palette or, he was a baboon." I replied, spinning my pen. She blinked at me and nodded.
"Good." She wrote that up on her board and went on and on about him. I spaced her and doodled in my notebook. She dismissed us and hour later. I scooped up my stuff and went to the library. I sat in my bean bag chair and finished homework for my required science class. Loud whispers pulled me from my work. Two freshmen girls were whispering, their heavily painted eyes glancing at me.
"Can I help you?" I asked politely well, as politely as I could muster. One girl, the only brunette of the group, looked at me.
"Yea um, my friend Lily," She pointed to a blonde," wanted to know if you were single." She explained with a shrug. I looked to Lily, she was another of the same mold blonde, tall, stick thin and blue eyed. Too much make-up mucked up her face.
"Sorry I don't date girls." I replied with a simple shrug. Lily's face flamed with embarrassment then, something else.
"You sure? You ever tried, sure I could sway you to our team." She purred in her "sexy" voice, I had to guess. I rolled my eyes at her ignorance.
"Yes I'm sure. I've tried, not doing it again. Thank you for the interest though." I smiled at her and went back to my homework. Lily was gaping, clearly never turned down before,
"You-you're not going to even give me a chance?" She demanded, standing in front of me now. I looked up at her, anger boiling in me now.
"Nope. Have a nice day." I snapped, shutting the conversation down. Her brunette friend came over, tugging at her arm.
"Come on Lily, he's gay." She tried, her voice calm. Lily swatted her off.
"Lily, I'm sure you've used your looks to get most of your things in life but, use that brain that evolution worked so hard on making. Understand, I don't date females. Nothing you do or say will change that. Have a nice day." I nodded to her and went back to my work. Lily was taken back clearly, her mouth hanging open for a minute before she stormed off, her friend trailing behind her.
"Breaking hearts now?" Steve asked as he dropped next to me. I snorted and tucked my pencil behind my ear.
"Thought I'd give it a try this time." I shrugged, my voice flat. Steve sighed and grabbed my paper. He squinted and rubbed at his eyes.
"What is this?" He asked, his head tilted. I laughed and took it back.
"Hieroglyphs." I replied, tucking the paper in my folder. "We had to write a story in hieroglyphs for my Mythology class." I told him. Steve shook his head and ran a hand through his hair.
"Crazy. We cut open a pig in my biology class." He grinned at me. I rolled my eyes.
"Gross. Did you see it's brain?" I asked him as I stood, him following. We walked out of the library and out into the Seattle drizzle. I ducked my head at it, trying to adapt.
"Yea. Some girl fainted." He smiled at the ground as he shoved his hands into his hoodie pockets. We walked towards my dorm, it being the closest to the library. I laughed and sidestepped a huge puddle of mud. "So, I went over to Tony's to check on him yesterday and it was awful. Bottles everywhere." Steve shook his head. "You need to talk to him, Lok. He's a big, self loathing mess." Steve looked at me with his big, puppy eyes.
"I don't know what I would say to him." I sighed, kicking at a rock. "I don't if I'll yell, cry, or both. I don't want to do either but, they may happen." I pulled the door to the dorms open and shook myself off. Steve did the same and we started to climb the stairs.
"So, practice first." He suggested. I snorted and shoved the door open for the third floor.
"On what?" I asked, looking back at him. Steve halted, his eyes big.
"On Tony, right now." He answered. I turned to see Tony sitting in front of my dorm. Shit.
