Chapter 15

When Emma and Killian landed on the deck of the Jolly Roger it took them a second to get their bearings. As soon as she realized where they were, Emma turned to Killian and slapped him. She stared at him and the look of shock he held. She slapped him again. 'Nice to see you too love." He said sarcastically. Emma pushed him and slapped him yet again. 'She's your sister! Family! And you left her! We don't leave family!"

Killian sighed. "Emma, it's complicated."

"I don't fucking care! She helped me, she helped me save YOU! And you left her to die!"

"Would someone please explain what is going on?" Their fight was interrupted by Rumpelstilskin. "Where is Davi?"

Emma glared at Killian. "She's with Ursula. He left her." Her eyes never left Killian, who stayed silent. "She's going to die." She whispered.

"I can't say I'm shocked at the captain's actions." Gold chuckled. "But Ursula cannot kill Davi unless she has some very important information."

Emma and Killian looked at him in shock. "What information?"

"Where the key to her heart is, of course."

Emma paused thinking of the statement. "Grace?" She looked around the deck. "Henry!"

Henry ran up to his mom. "Ya?"

"Kid, Grace, you know her. She's Jefferson's daughter right?"

"Very good Miss Swan." Rumple said. She looked at him.

"We have to get back to Storybrooke, now!" She looked for Tinkerbelle. "Tink, I know you only just got your wings back, but can you get us home?" The fairy winked and pulled out a sack full of dust.

"Already ahead of you, thanks to Henry."

Emma smiled at her son. She finally looked at Killian who looking at the horizon with what she was thought was regret. She walked up to him. "Hook?" He didn't answer. 'Killian, please. She needs you, we need you. We can still save her."

When he finally looked at her there was a single tear making its way down his face. "Emma, you know I would walk through hell for you. But if you are going to ask this of me, you have to know the whole story." He sighed. "She knew, she knew what the Crocodile would do. She saw it all, and did nothing. She watched as he ripped her heart out, my Milah's heart and crushed it in front of me. My own sister let my love die." He looked down. Emma reached up and cupped his cheek. He looked up at her. "She knew my future and she let me suffer to get it." He sighed. " She must have seen you. She told me Milah wasn't my true love. But I wouldn't listen."

Emma sighed. "She did see me." His look questioned her, begging her to continue. "We talked. She said it was her first vision. Me and you together. She said it was when she first hugged you after becoming Davi Jones or whatever."

He sighed. "Alright Emma, let's get you home so we can figure out how to save my damned sister."

Davina sat and watched as Ursula rummaged through a chest. Looking around she saw nothing of use. She sighed and turned her attention back to the sea witch. 'It's rather funny isn't it?" Ursula finally spat.

"What's funny?" Davina answered harshly.

"You spend how many years ensuring your brother's happiness, and in the end he just lets you die. Ironic, no?"

"I'm not dead yet Ursula."

"Yet being the operative word my pet." She took out a short yet sharp knife and waved it in front of Davina's face. "Do you really think he will let 300 years of hating you, just go?"

"You obviously don't know him very well, he's done it before."

"Perhaps." She smiled. "But he and his love are reunited, they have their happy ending. He won't risk her life." She walked in front of Davina again. "Now let's have a look at what your heart looks like shall we!" With that Ursula reached her hand into Davina's chest and ripped out her heart. She laughed when Davi doubled over in pain. "You see Davi, not all creatures can be saved. Not all wounds can be healed. And not every immortal can stay that way." She drove the knife towards the heart. The knife hit something metal. Davina waved her hand and around the heart, a barrier resembling armor appeared. Davi laughed at Ursula's shock.

"Ursula, you may think you know of my legends and stories. You may have read a thousand different versions. But only two people know how to kill me and the other is sworn to secrecy, except to those I truly love."

Ursula let out a shriek and lunged at Davina's throat. She started to squeeze. "I will destroy you. I am a thousand years older and you have been stepping on my toes for far too long!" She threw Davina in the corner and a gate fell, trapping Davi.

"Is that what this is about? Your reputation?" Davi coughed.

"Yes!" Ursula spat. "I have become nothing more than a joke among children." She glared. "But you, yours is a name men fear in every realm….Davi Jones' locker." The last she mocked. "You are nothing but a child compared to me, yet I am all but forgotten! I will ruin you!'' With that, the sea witch disappeared.

Break

The ship popped up in Storybrooke harbor and the crew prepared to dock. Emma was the first off the ship running towards town. Hook was the first to catch her. "Emma wait!" HE grabbed her arm and the others soon caught up."

"He's right Emma, we need a plan." Snow reassured. "What exactly are we after?"

"A key." Emma said impatiently. "Hidden with Davi's daughter."

"Daughter? She has a daughter? Who?" David asked confused and looking at Hook. "Did she marry?"

"Aye." Hook looked down.

"Sebastian?" Snow asked.

"No."

'Then who?"

"Alas, I don't know."

"You're telling me you don't know who your sister married?" David accused. Hook stayed silent.

"We don't have time for this!'' Emma interrupted. "Before we vanished from the cave, she asked Killian to protect a girl named Grace." She turned to Rumple. "The only Grace I know is the one Jefferson mentioned. Is she the same one?" Rumple only nodded. "Then let's go."

"Miss Swan I think you are taking this legend too literally." Rumple stopped her. "It's not a key we need to find."

"What do you mean?"

"How can any curse be broken?" he rolled his eyes.

"True loves kiss." Emma said. "But she isn't cursed, her heart, it's…" With realization she cut off.

"Cursed?" Hook looked as stunned as Emma.

"In a matter of speaking." Rumple replied. "Your sister came to see me some time after she regained her post. She wanted to stop the hurt she had felt of her sacrifice." He paused, not wanting to lose them. "She pretended to be dead to save her family." His higher voice sounding much more like Rumpelstilskin than Gold. "She didn't want to be like Cora, no offence your majesty." Looking at Regina who had been silent. "So I put a curse on her heart to lock out unwanted feeling. The only thing she can feel for anyone is a sense of obligation, except for three people." He paused waiting for the "Aw-ha" moment, but it never came. "The only three people she's truly loved." He said annoyed.

"Jefferson, Grace, and?" David questioned.

"Me." Killian choked out. Emma grabbed his hand and squeezed. Killian took a moment before looking at Gold. "What do we need?"

Break

The guards opened the door and led Davina into the throne room. She looked around seeing Jefferson gagged and chained to the wall and Elphaba sitting in the thrown at the end of the hall. "Davina dear, what a pleasure! What do I owe this surprise?"

"You know very well what!" Davina spat. "Let them go, Elphaba. I'll give you whatever you want."

"What I want is revenge on the man who told the Wizard about my sister's slippers! I want nothing from you" Elphaba yelled, an award winning performance. She got up from her thrown and turned to leave.

"Wait!" Davina pleaded. "What if I give you the one thing you have always wanted!"

"And what is that?"

"A spell, a spell to make your man of straw whole again."

Elphaba pondered the deal a minute. "Alright." She turned to her guards. "Bring him." Within seconds two men brought the scarecrow and sat him in front of Davina. She reached into her pocket and pulled out a scroll and handed it to Elphaba. She read the inscription quietly, almost a whisper. A poof of green smoke engulfed the scarecrow. Suddenly a man, whole and dressed like a prince appeared. "Fiyero!" He collapsed from exhaustion. "Take him to the doctor, I will be along shortly." She turned back to Davina.

"Please, you promised to let them go! We ALL had a deal." Davina noted the deal between Elphaba and Regina.

"Very well." She drew her dagger and thrust it into Davina's sided. A muffled scream came from Jefferson as he struggled against his chains. Elphaba laughed and waved her hands.

Jefferson, free ran to Davina who had collapsed on the floor. "No, no, no, no ,no. Davina, stay with me. Please my love keep breathing." He held her tight, trying to stop the bleeding. Davina looked up at him weakly.

"I love you Jefferson. Remember that. And Grace, be there for her. I love you both so much. I'll always be watching over…'' And her head dropped. Jefferson let out a scream of pain that sent chills through the entire hall. He held Davina's motionless body and sobbed uncontrollably.

"Uh I tire of you too easily." Elphaba waved her hand once more.

Jefferson found himself back in their cottage, not holding Davina, but Grace. He was still sobbing when his daughter hugged him. "Papa, what's the matter? We're home! We're safe!"

He looked at his daughter with a heavy heart. "Little one, I must tell you something."
