So this doesn't push the story a ton, but there are two characters I wanted desperately to have an interaction! You will get it when you read it!

Chapter 17

Hook stood at the helm of his ship taking in the sight before him. He was yet again sailing off on an adventure with his love, her parents, her son, the crocodile, and his brother in law, hi niece and the evil queen; who for some reason insisted that she had to come along. He watched the group in awe. Jefferson was being filled in by Emma and Henry. He watched her; she was so calm yet so assertive. He wondered how he hadn't acted sooner on her. He laughed to himself. He was lost in thought and didn't even notice he was no longer alone on the top deck until he heard an exasperated breath. He looked to his right to see Grace staring at him with a strange expression on her face.

"You have a Hook." She stated matter of factly.

"Perceptive." He said looking back to the horizon.

"I think I know who you are." She pressed.

"Captain Hook. At your service." He said raising his left 'hand.' He was rather annoyed that the girl drew his attention from Emma. She didn't leave however and held her stare. He finally tied off the wheel and turned to her. "Is there something you needed lass?"

"No, she never called you Hook." She said.

"Excuse me?"

"It was always Killian." She smiled. "I've heard so many stories." She hopped up on a barrel that was nearby and patted the seat next to her, insisting that he sit. He quickly sat, enchanted by the girl al of the sudden. "Your coat…" she touched the leather. "This is the one she made right?" He nodded, his eyes feeing heavy. "She told me about you teaching her to use a sword and to sail. Although she said her favorite lessons were the ones when you showed her how to chart the stars." She smiled up at them. "Papa says I'm too much like her for my own good." She continued.

"Is that so?"

"Uh huh. He says the older I get, the more restless I get. I can never seem to sit still." She smiled and continued. "But after the curse was broken he took me swimming, it was wonderful. It felt right." She looked up at him suddenly very serious. "I know you're my uncle." She paused. "And I know my Papa doesn't like you very much, but I have made up my mind to make up my own mind about you." She smiled.

He laughed, seeing his sister shine through at that moment. "And what have you found so far?"

"That is an excellent question." She jumped off the barrel and stared to walk away. She turned quickly, winked and said. "One that I don't really feel the need to answer just yet." He laughed out loud. There she was, Davina was right there.

Break

"Davina! What are you doing here?" She heard Sebastian yell from the helm. She looked at him with a blank expression and he knew something was wrong. He ran to her and led her to the captain's quarters. When he had her seated he started the questions. "What happened, where is your family?"

She stared at him without an answer. Her ace showed annoyance more than anything. They sat there, Sebastian not sure what to do, but finally she spoke. "I can't explain, ever. All I know is that I can't see them ever again. I was wondering if you would have me back on the ship. This was my home for so long. I'm not sure where else to go." She almost felt something there, but it quickly left and she felt nub again. It was a strange sensation, she felt the pain but it went away so quickly it was as if it wasn't there. She thanked Rumpelstilskin silently.

"The ship is your Davi, you can have her." Sebastian said quickly.

"No, no, no that's not what I was asking Sebastian. I made you captain, she's yours." She protested.

"With all due respect Davi, she's not. As long as you are on board she would only listen to you." EH chucked. "Even when you brought the family to visit, she only listened to you. Don't you remember me suggesting taking her to the Northern Kingdom for the day and you suggested the bright islands… she sailed on her own. I tried to turn once and she wouldn't budge. This ship knows its captain." He chuckled again. He stood and pulled Davi up to her feet and hugged her. "I don't know why you are back, and as selfish as it sounds we are glad to have you." With that he walked out of the room.

Davina walked to the window and looked out to the horizon. He put her hand on the wood of the window and the ship rocked and let out what Davina swore was a happy moan. She smiled lightly to herself. "At least I still have this." She straightened herself up and headed to the helm.

Break

Davina was thrown from sleep by a loud crash in the cave. She saw Ursula combing the cave for something. She had a crazed look in her eyes. "Lose something?" Davina chuckled.

Ursula threw her a glare then went back to her searching. "It has to be here!" She said more to herself than Davina. She turned over a chest and then a mirror breaking it in her rage.

"That wasn't smart you know." Davina pushed. That's when Ursula let out a screech of joy.

"Ah ha! Here it is!" She held up a long needle that glowed blue. She looked over to Davina with a smirk. "This, my pet, is for you."

"And what is it?"

"Oh just a curse I received from a mutual friend." She made her way over to the cell. "I believe she is the reason you are here in the first place." She paused. "Well at least not stuck in Storybrooke."

"Regina?" Davina asked. Realization spread through her. "You plan on cursing me? With a sleeping curse?"

"Now you've got it." She stretched out the needle for Davina to touch.

"And what makes you think I would even consider putting myself under such a curse?"

Ursula laughed and picked up a piece of the broken mirror and showed it to Davina. She saw The Jolly Roger, with all her crew including Jefferson and a young girl talking to her brother. Davina turned white as a ghost as she realized they were coming for her. "No." She whispered.

"Oh yes. They are being quite heroic." She stretched out the needle to Davina a second time. "I think you know me well enough to know I will not hesitate to kill them. Now prick that pretty finger of yours and your family lives." She said impatiently. Davina looked at her with all the hate she could muster. She started to feel the numbness take over, but she quickly pricked her finger before she forgot her pain. She fell to the floor of her cell and Ursula let out a satisfied cackle.

Break

Jefferson doubled over next to the mast, clenching his heart. Snow ran to his side. "What's wrong?" She panicked.

"Davina, something has happened." He panted. "I can feel it."

Emma ran over to the group. "What do you feel?"

"A crushing in my chest." He looked up for his daughter who was busy talking to Killian. He was relieved she didn't see him. He tried to stand up, helped by Emma and David.

"A crushing feeling?" David asked and Jefferson nodded. David sighed relieved. "I don't think she is dead."

"How can you be sure?" Snow asked.

"Because I know that feeling in his chest. I felt it the moment you took a bite of that apple." He frowned at his wife.

"A sleeping curse?" Snow asked.

"I think so." He looked at Jefferson. "You can still save her."

Emma and David sat Jefferson down on a barrel. "Thank you, I just need some time to myself." They shared a weak smile and let him be. He wasn't alone long before Regina sat next to him. "I said I wanted to be alone." He harshly said.

"I know but this won't take long." She grabbed his hand and warmth ran from her fingers to his and through his body. He felt like he should be startled at her use of magic, but for some reason he felt safe. "There."

"What did you just do?"

"Easing your fears, at least a little."

"Why?"

Regina sighed not wanting to divulge the truth. She looked over at Grace and knew she had to. "I have made so many mistakes Jefferson." She looked down at her knees. "Especially with those I once considered friends." She looked up at him with tears forming in her eyes. "I'm the reason Davina left you and Grace." She saw the anger growing in his eyes. She continued. "I know I can NEVER make up for what I have taken, but I can help where I can now. I am trying to change, for my son. I have to believe for me, that this is going to help. Maybe it won't help with how you or your family sees me, but I had to right this… in any way I could." His eyes softened only slightly. "I'm sorry. She walked away quickly and headed below deck.

A/N: See I really wanted Killian and Grace to have an moment. I love all the stories where Hook is healing because of Emma, but I wanted his niece to have a part in it. Also, Grace on the show is so darn sweet, I felt like she had to get that from Davina because she was so devoted to Killian's happiness. Let me know what you think. I'm thinking two, maybe three more chapters before I move to my next project.
