"Doctor," Clara called out as she stepped into the parked TARDIS, a concerned look covering her face as she moved further into the room while her hand brushed against the controls. "Where is he?" she asked quietly, not knowing what else to do as she glanced up at the stairs. He'd been so quiet recently; scaring her slightly with how uninvolved he was in everything. The Doctor who was desperate to explore and see new places, to take her to new worlds had instead disappeared inside his time machine and wasn't going anywhere. "Doctor, it's Clara," she shouted up the stairs before waiting for a response, hoping that he hadn't locked himself away. "Doctor," she called out before running up the stairs and moving through the corridors, a small smile covering her face as she stepped into what looked like a nursery where he was sat beside the empty cot. "Doctor," she said quietly, watching him jump before he turned to face her.

"My Clara," he whispered as she stepped towards him and rested her hand on his shoulder, clearly worried about him. "Clara, my beautiful Clara," he repeated while the young woman stood perfectly still and listened to him. He'd never talked about her like that; she'd never heard him this emotional before except for when he was talking about River or his little girl.

"Why don't we go somewhere? Let's go somewhere fun for a while," she suggested, forcing a smile onto her face as she knelt down beside him. "Doctor you can't just spend the rest of your life here, you have to go out. You're a traveller, so let's go travelling," she explained as she found his hand and grabbed hold of it, squeezing it tightly as he stared at her in amazement and rested his hand on her cheek, unable to stop himself from smiling at her. "Doctor," she said nervously before stepping away and glancing at the man who nodded sadly and glanced back down at the cot that was beside him, a sad smile decorating his face as he ran his fingers across the symbols.

"This was my cot," he explained as Clara remained silent, watching the grieving man in amazement. She had never seen him like this. "And then it was River's, kind of," he stated before turning to face his daughter, the woman who was so unaware of why he was in as much pain as he was. Clara Oswald was his little girl! The baby he'd been forced to sacrifice and she didn't even know and it was killing him inside. "And then it was our little girls," he whispered before shaking his head and moving across the room, taking in all the various memorabilia that covered the surfaces such as photos of a happy Amy and Rory.

"Who were they?" Clara inquired as she stared at the photograph he was standing beside.

"They travelled with me before you did," he stated before shaking his head. "Amelia Pond, the girl who waited and Rory the Roman," the Doctor smiled as confusion covered Clara's face. "They're River's parents but it's all very complicated," he declared before turning to face Clara who was watching him with a concerned look. "They were taken away from us and I was never able to see them again but they were happy, they were always happy when they were together," he sighed before moving towards Clara who quickly wrapped her arms around him, forcing him into a tight hug. "My wife is practically dead and has gone into hiding, my daughter's gone," the Doctor whispered as Clara remained completely silent.

"I'm sure you'll see her again Doctor. She's your little girl, you'll be able to find her and explain everything," Clara commented as he looked at her for a moment before blurting out…

"I am seeing her again right now."

I hate this chapter but I couldn't think of anything else to write so hopefully you enjoy it.
