Disclaimer: Again, I don't own the challenge. I dunno who does but I got it from Batsutousai. I don't own Cats either - that belongs to T.S. Elliot.
Rum Tum Tuggette: Haha, good. That was the entire point of that line.
Day 5: Kissing
Sometimes, when he needed to get away from the junkyard, Mistoffelees would wander through the humans' side of town. He liked jumping into windows and observing the humans. He also liked talking to pet cats that had gotten outside.
During one of his adventures, Misto leapt into the window of a teenage girl who was doing Everlasting Cat-knows-what on her computer. He pressed his face to the glass of the girl's window, glad that her back was completely turned to it so she couldn't see him. Thanks to the thieving discoveries of Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer, he had begun learning to read human writing. So once he got a close enough view of the computer screen, he was able to make out some of what the human girl was up to. The current screen said "What Kisses Mean." Misto raised an eyebrow and watched the page, intrigued. The girl began scrolling through, pausing at each different kiss to read the description. The tuxedo tom pressed closer to the window, if possible, trying to read the screen.
"What Kisses Mean" (1)
Kiss on the cheek:Best friends.
Kiss on the nose:You're cute.
Kiss on the forehead: We belong together.
Kiss on the shoulder: I adore you.
Kiss on the hand: I respect you.
Kiss on the neck: I want you.
Kiss on the lips: I love you.
Intrigued, Misto memorized the list before scampering away, heading back to the junkyard. He intended to put more meaning into his kisses with Tugger from now on.
The tuxedo made his way to Tugger's den, shifting back into a two-legged cat and excitedly knocking on the door. A happily surprised Maine Coon opened the door, quickly letting his mate inside. Misto thought back to the list and acted quickly, pecking his mate's nose.
"You're cute," he said with a smile.
Tugger raised an eyebrow. "Uhm, thank you..?"
Misto chuckled before walking towards the old human bean bag that sufficed as a couch. Tugger sat beside him, pulling the younger tom into his arms. Misto stretched slightly to kiss Tugger's cheek.
"You're my best friend."
"You're mine too, Tux," Tugger replied, still confused. Misto happily snuggled into the ever-fluffy mane, sighing contently. Tugger tightened his arms around the tuxedo tom, shaking his head slightly and closing his eyes. A few minutes later, his paw was moved slightly to be held in the smaller paw of his mate. Misto pressed his lips to the back of Tugger's paw and murmured, "I respect you."
"Tell the adults that," the Maine Coon replied with a pout. The adults didn't respect him at all!
Misto chuckled again, lifting his head to face his mate. He stretched up slightly and kissed the striped forehead. "We belong together."
"I think so, too," Tugger agreed with a small nod, still confused as to where all of the kisses and comments were coming from. He was about to ask when his mate buried his white face back in his fluffy mane. The maned tom nuzzled the top of his mate's head. Said mate shifted slightly, using a paw to move some of Tugger's mane away from his shoulder before pressing a kiss there. "I adore you."
It was Tugger's turn to chuckle. "You and all the kittens."
Misto shook his head before reaching both paws up to wrap around his mate's neck. Tugger closed his eyes and took no notice until the weight of his spiked collar was missing from his neck. He opened his eyes and saw Misto placing said collar on the floor beside them.
"Why'd you take my collar off?" he questioned.
Misto replied by pressing his lips to the Maine Coon's neck. "I want you."
Tugger chuckled and raised a brow. "Is that so?"
Misto nodded happily before sitting on his lover's lap and wrapping his arms around the older tom's neck. He kissed his mate square on the lips, closing his eyes and breathing a happy sigh. He pulled away shortly after, smiling. "I love you."
"I love you too," Tugger smiled, claiming the tuxedo tom's lips again.
(1) I only agree with some of these. I just Googled them.
