Oh jeez, I really fell behind with this chapter. My bad people. I hope you can forgive the long wait!
I also apologize for any spelling and/or grammar errors you find in this chapter. I am sort of drugged up on Cough medicine right now. And when I get a cough it gets really bad, so I need the really powerful stuff. So I feel really loopy and out of it right now XD Seriously, I keep thinking my toes are bugs and my hands are bear paws.
It is pretty wacky.
So... lets hope this chapter didn't turn out to crazy, shall we?
Raphael's POV
"Raphael… Raphael!" A soft voice called to me, grabbing my shoulders and shaking me slightly. Stirring from my sleep, I groggily opened my eyes to find Ed leaning over me, trying to wake me up.
I narrowed my eyes at him, angry that he was waking me up so early in the morning.
Blinking at me, he helped me sit up, regardless of my protests, and began to examine my injures.
It is like 6 in the morning, why does he have to check my injuries now?!
"It is early." I scowled.
"My apologies." He said, his eyes focused on my side. "I'm heading off for school soon, and I wont be back for a few hours. I wanted to check before I left."
Oh, school?
"Medical School." I mumbled recalling what Sky has said a while ago. Glancing at me, he smiled.
"That's right. I'm currently a student." He moved down to my ankle. "I'll be gone until one, so try not to get injured again while I am gone."
Frowning, as if he expected me to act like an idiot, I gave Ed an angry look.
Laughing, he patted my shoulder. "I'm sure Reika will watch over you though. She's got quite a close attachment to you."
She does? Really?
…That didn't make me happy or anything, shut up.
My cheeks felt hot for some reason and I was glad it was still a little dark out. Clearing my throat, I shoved him a bit. "Well get goin' then."
"Pushy." Ed pouted in the dark, getting to his feet. As he moved to grab his bag, he paused when Sky's door suddenly opened.
What, Sky wakes up this early too?
Trudging out of the room, she looked towards Ed. Through the dim light I could see her smirking. "Heading to school?" she practically sang.
Ed didn't answered at first, and gruffly responded with a, 'Yes."
"Hah! Have fun." Sky folded her arm, her smirk never faltering. "I'll be here… sleeping."
Was she bragging or something?
Ed seemed to get the same idea and looked at her with a suspicious look. "Did you seriously wake up just to brag about you not having to go to school?" he demanded.
"Spring break baby~!" Sky cackled, diving onto the couch.
With a huff, Ed shook his head. "I should have known." Snatching up his bag he stalked towards the door. "I'm leaving."
"Have fun." Sky cooed to him.
"I'll burn your couch." Eh threatened, opening the front door.
"I'll burn your face." Sky countered with a dark under tone, hugging the couch protectively.
With a snort Ed exited the house and closed the door. Waiting a few seconds till he was gone, Sky rolled backward on the couch and titled her head back to stare at me. "Sup Turtle." She greeted.
Blinking a few times, I opened my mouth, "Hey."
An awkward silence fell over us after that and neither of us were sure how to break it. Slowly shifting her position, Sky curled up against the couch, as if she intended to fall asleep again.
I felt tempted to fall asleep again as well, but my mind just didn't want to go back to bed for some reason. It just felt… wrong, to continue sleeping.
It was like I was supposed to wake up at this time for some reason. That there was something I should be doing.
I wasn't sure what though. Which bugged me to no end.
"Hey-" Sky suddenly turned back to me, holding up the remote. "Wanna watch a movie?"
Surprised that she asked, I blinked at her. Staring back at me she frowned.
"What? You don't know what movies are either?" she snickered.
"I know what movies are." I frowned. "What sort of Movie?"
Leaning back against the side of the couch, Sky rubbed her chin. "Well, I'm sort of in the mood for a comedy." She admitted. Sitting up, she suddenly smiled and moved to the DVD player. Placing a movie inside, she moved back and crawled onto the couch.
I admit to being a little wary of the movie choice she just made.
"What are we watching?" I glanced at her.
"A comical martial arts movie.' She explained, turning the TV and going to the movie. Not sure what she meant, I watched the title, The Legend of the Drunken Master, appear on the screen.
"Ya ever see this movie before?" she didn't look at me.
If I had I couldn't remember.
"No." I shook my head.
Clicking play, she started the movie. "I thought it was pretty fitting."
"How so?" I grumbled.
"Cause your some supposed Ninja turtle." She explained simply. "You would probably like this movie."
I wanted to tell her that me having Ninja weapons wasn't enough to base who I was, but I found my self really liking the movie.
I had to admit, there was definitely something familiar with the whole movie. Some of the moves sort of just… struck something within me.
"Hey-" Half way through the film, a tired voice called to us. Looking over to the rooms, I could see Reika trudging towards us, rubbing the sand out of her eyes.
She was currently in her really long baggy light red pajamas and her hair was down, curling left and right from bed head. "Wha ahre ya doin' up this early?" she yawned.
I cleared my throat, feeling awkward when I thought she looked cute.
"We are watching a movie." Sky announced.
"Why?" Reika squinted at the screen.
"Cause we felt like it. Come join." Sky motioned for her to sit down. Reika had moved to sit on the couch with her sister, but paused when Sky glared at her dangerously.
"Couch hog." Reika grumbled, moving around the coffee table to the other side of my air bed. It was a pretty large bed and I ended up using only one side of it any way- why is she crawling into the bed with me?!
I had to force my self not to jump right out my shell when Reika got on her hands and knees and crawled onto the air mattress with me.
Grabbing the second blanket they kept folded towards the end, in case I got cold, she bundled up in it.
Whoa there Raph, calm down. Just stay cool. It is her air bed anyway, she can sit on it if she wants to. Stop freaking out.
Leaning back, Reika got comfy, sending me a side smile. I looked away, rubbing the back of my head and snorting a bit.
Jeez Raph, way to keep it cool.
"…Yeah so-" Sky cleared her throat to catch our attention, sending me a dirty glare. "Can we start the movie up again now?"
"Wait- wha ahre we watchin'?" she asked with wide eyes.
"The Legend of the Drunken Master." Sky answered, clicking play.
"Oh! I lawve this movie!' she squealed with delight.
I almost snickered at the way she said love. I just couldn't seem to get past her scent- accent! I meant accent! Not scent! Jeez.
What is wrong with my head?
It is her accent that is funny and cute-weird.
Funny and WEIRD. Weird is what I meant, shut up. You can't understand what she is saying sometimes! And… YEAH!
I huffed , folding my arms.
"Jeez Turtle dude, if you don't like the movie then just say so." Sky grumbled.
"Huh- what?" I blinked.
"Ya seem ahngry." Reika said softly. "…Is it because I saht dawn without askin'?" her eyes doubled in size.
"Wha- no." I shook my head, surprised she would even think that was the problem. Okay well… it was sort of the problem. But not for the reason she thinks. "It isn't that."
"Then what is it?" Sky leaned off the couch a bit to stare at me.
"…I'm hungry." I lied. Like shell I was gonna tell them I was thinking about Reika. I could never live that one down.
"What? Seriously? You are grumpy cause your stomach is growling. Lame." Sky pressed play again and continued to watch the movie. "There is only a little bit left, just wait you impatient green weirdo."
Scowling I glared at her. If I wasn't stuck in this bed she would be regretting ever calling me a weirdo.
"I'll mahke ya sawme eggs and bahcon Raphael." Reika promised. Glancing at her, I nodded.
After that we were all pretty quiet until the end of the movie. Once the credits started to play Reika jumped to her feet, threw off the blanket and skipping into the kitchen.
"Ya wahnt sawme eggs Sky?' Reika called to her sister.
"Yeah sure." Sky nodded from the couch. Rolling over, she stared at me. "So, can you do any of those things?" she inquired.
"From the movie?" I questioned.
"Yeah."
"I dunno." I shrugged. "I can't move too well so I can't exactly try it and figure it out."
Folding her arms she nodded. "True." There was a small pause before she glanced at me again. "Wanna watch another movie?"
Feeling my self smirk, I shrugged. "Depends on what type of movie you had in mind."
Rolling over the couch, Sky grabbed a large pile of Dvds and plopped them down in front of me. "Okay," she started to go through them. "We have… Monsters Inc."
"Never seen it." I answered instantly.
"Okay, definitely putting that in the Things to watch later list." Sky noted, placing the movie to the side. "Titanic."
"Isn't that a chick flick?" I frowned.
"Is not." Sky huffed. "It is based of something that really happened. It is a tragic love story."
"So… a chic flick." I summed it up.
"You're a moron." She grumbled. "We aren't watching that movie anyway. Reika always cries." She concluded.
"I daw nawt!" Reika suddenly yelled from the kitchen.
"You do to you big baby! Don't even try denying it! Last time you watched that you clung to Ed for the whole movie, crying when you didn't have a reason to cry."
The kitchen was silent and Sky nodded.
Intrigued, I titled my head. "She clung to him for the whole movie?"
"She'll cling to anyone during that movie. It could be a complete strange and she'll tackle them to the ground." She chuckled.
…What if I sat next to her during that movie?
Clearing my throat, feeling my cheeks burn I distracted myself with the other movies Sky started bringing out.
"Lord of the Rings?"
"Those movies are really long." I frowned.
"Harry Potter?"
"Seen them all." Was it weird that I could remember the movies I watched but not my actual past? Amnesia was messed up.
"Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief?"
"Why do you even have that?" I questioned, judging on how terrible the movies was compared to the book.
"I don't even now." She huffed, scowling at the movie with distaste. "Reika, is this your movie?"
"Yes." She answered
"Why?" Sky demanded.
"Because if ya wahtch the movie alone, and ya don't think about the book, it wahs ah pretty good movie. You have tah watch it without the book in mind tah enjoy it." Reika answered.
Staring at the movie case, Sky and me sent each other little look. "…Okay, yeah." We ended up agreeing.
"Still not watching it though." Sky tossed it over her shoulder. "Mega-Mind?"
"Haha, O'llo?" Reika chuckled from the kitchen.
Realizing she was referencing the movie, I smirked a bit, recalling the scene. It was when MegaMind first picked up a phone for the first time, unsure of how to answer it. Then his Minion replied with, "It is Hello, Sir." I said.
"Oh!" Reika came running in, bouncing excitedly. "Ya have seen that movie taw?!"
"Too." Sky corrected.
"Heh, yeah I have seen it." I nodded, leaning back. I couldn't remember where and who I was watching the movie with, but I definitely remember watching the movie.
Satisfied, Reika moved back into the kitchen to finish breakfast.
"I've seen that movie too many times." Sky sighed. Lifting up the next one, she paused. "…How about-" she pressed the movie against my snout. "The Avengers?!"
Now that, was an awesome move.
"Shell yes." I nodded.
"Good Turtle." Sky praised, moving to place the movie in the DVD player. "Hurry up Reika, we are watching-"
"The Avangers!" Reika giggled, suddenly appeared from the kitchen, leaping over me with a large plate fill to the brim with eggs, bacon and sausages. Landing on the air bed, making me bounce a bit, she grinned happily at me.
"Avengers Reika. Not Avanagers." Sky corrected, grabbing the remote and clicking play.
"I dawn't care." She grinned. Turning to me, she handed me a few pieces of bacon.
"…Thanks." I mumbled.
"Any time." She smiled.
Yeah so, I can't exactly look directly at her when she does that.
Shut up, don't judge.
Skipping through the trailers, Sky and Reika cheered together as the movie officially started. "Favorite villain ever, Loki." Sky slammed her fist against her chest before throwing it in the air with a piece sign.
"Right on." Reika agreed doing the same.
I smirked at them both before turning back to the movie.
I had watched this movie with someone… or was it with a few people? We had all watched it together, I knew that much. And there were these two people who adored this movie. One loves Super Heroes and the other just like Heroes in general. Who were they?
I remember… one of them had said that if the Hulk was green, I would be him.
Who had said that though? I couldn't remember.
"Ya knaw who I lawve the most in this movie?" Reika chuckled to herself.
"Iron man?" Sky guessed.
"Naw." Reika shook her head.
"The Hulk?" I asked.
"Naw, though he is pretty funny."
"Captain America?" Sky smirked. "If so then I don't blame ya, that man is cute!"
"Sky." Reika chuckled, hitting her sister's leg. "Naw, I like Phil."
"Phil!" Sky cheered, rolling over. "I adore that cute little agent." Sitting up, she suddenly looked serious. "Hey Turtle, have you ever scene the TV series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D?"
"Nope. It good?" I frowned.
Gasping, Reika suddenly grabbed my arm. "Ya have ta watch it!" she bounced a little closer to me, leaning against me. Feeling awkward I leaned back a bit when she brought her face closer. "It is tha best!"
"Phil is in it." Sky agreed.
"I thought Phil died-" before I could finish Reika and Sky started screaming, scrambling to cover their ears.
"SPOILERS!" Sky slapped the top of my head, making me gag.
"Hey!" I snapped at her.
"Hey back ya spoiling Turtle. You can't ruin the Movie." She huffed.
"You just said you already saw it! You already know what happens!" I argued, my anger boiling up from my stomach.
"That doesn't mean you can say it regardless." Sky pointed out. "Besides-" she looked away, sniffling. "I shall never fully except his death."
"Ya." Reika nodded, suddenly leaning into me a bit more, still holding my arm tightly.
Don't freak out. Don't freak out. Calm Raph, calm.
"Phil was the greatest Agent eva." Reika cooed. "If I hawd a friend like em'…." She squealed, leaning her head against my shoulder. "Aww geez, he was so cool. I mean, he was like em' super wicked heroes. He was human, but he's got ah heart af gawld."
"You mean gold?" Sky smirked.
"That is what I said."
"Not it isn't."
"Yah it is."
"No it isn't."
"Yah it is!"
"Naw it ain't!" Sky yelled, instantly slapping her hand over her mouth and scowling that her sister made her accent come out. "Whatever, lets just go back to watching the movie." Turning back to the screen she pressed play.
…How the shell was I suppose to focus on the movie when Reika was still leaning her head against my shoulder!? I wasn't some pillow that she could just use whenever, but I just… I couldn't seem to yank away. I didn't want to move either or else she would know and then it would feel awkward!
So I sat there, for almost two hours with Reika's head on my shoulder. At one point I almost forgot about it… until she shift a bit and leaned her shoulder against my lower arm, her head still resting on my own shoulder.
Yeah… I can't even remember most of the movie.
Once the film was done, Reika lifted her head up and stretched. "That was ahwesome!" she cheered, not even thinking twice of where she had been resting her head for the past two hours.
"Yeah, hope they make a second avenger movie." Sky agreed, getting to her feet.
Reaching up I scratched the back of my head. "Yeah." Watching them both move into the kitchen, I blinked a few times.
…Just what exactly was I doing?
Now that I am actually thinking about it, I shouldn't be spending my time watching movies, no matter how awesome they are. I have to focus on remembering what happened to me and how exactly I ended up getting these stupid injuries.
I glanced towards the table, where my supposed Ninja weapons were laying.
I also needed to figure out exactly… who I am.
I glanced at my hands. I could see small lightened lines from scars. Scars from years of training and fighting. Rolling my hands into fits, I frowned.
…Who am I? Where did I come from? Why am I here? What... am I suppose to be doing right now?
Wahoo! End of chapter! Joy and such!
