Clary POV

"Come one Clary, if you don't get a move on then we are going to miss our flight. It can't take some this long to get some gum so their ears don't pop." I heard Jace yell from the front of the store.

"Well excuse me if I would like for my breath to smell nice during the flight and that I don't get a bad taste after the gum is done." I yelled back. Ahh spearmint, there is the little devil. I paid and walked up to the front of the store to Jace tapping his foot impatiently.

"Well, praise Jesus Christ. Now the flight is boarding so let's go." He intertwined our hands and pulled me through the insane amount of people for this small airport. I don't get somethings, like how this place was so busy when no one even really lived here.

Luckily we had about two minutes to sit and catch our breath before they started to board the plane. One of the flight attendants called for first class, yup that was us. I'm still shocked that Jace's parents paid for seven first class seats. It must of cost them a fortune just to fly there kids anywhere and then me, Magnus and Simon as well. Then they all have to put up with us during the holiday season.

Turns out that there are only eight first class seats on the flight, leaving an open spot for the poor fool that gets stuck next to Max for the next four hours. At least he wasn't my job. My job is to sleep the entire way through because I couldn't get that much last night.

Time skip till they arrive at Jace's house

The flight was smooth as a baby ass. None of those bumps turbulence that mostly everyone seems to complain about when they get on planes. The taking off and landing freaked me out, not sure if we would stop in time or if we would actually get off of the runway. Jace's parents had sent a car for us to take us to the house.

It's not a house, it is an estate. They house was small compared to the amount of land that it was sitting on. I asked Jace if it was on a golf course but he simply laughed at me and said that the family owned all of the land around here. That must be a slight of a bitch to cut in the summer.

But what really surprised me was that Jace said that we were only about 30 or so minutes outside of New York City. More like 30 states or so, it was an entirely different world than what we had landed in. But I just guess that is how things were.

Izzy led me around the grounds while we were stilling waiting on her parents to get home from the city. Apparently they were one of the biggest lawyers in New York, and one of the most exclusive as well. She pointed out each and every room, piece of art and worker here that she saw. In total, 20 rooms, 56 pieces of art and 11 workers. But apparently the number was around 20 workers in the summer because they need people to cut the grass.

After putting my stuff in Izzy's room, my new room for the next two weeks, I joined her back downstairs in the kitchen to help the chef prepare dinner for the family. So I guess even if they had a person to cook them food, they still had to pitch in a bit along the way, makes sense. Tonight's dinner, leg-o-lamb with mashpotates and gravy, delicious.

Their parents finally arrived seconds before dinner was done. Like we were just pulling the last pieces of the lamb out when their mom walked into the kitchen. And she jumped a little bit when I popped up, probably because of the hair.

"Oh, that was entirely rude of me. You must be Clary. Oh I have heard the most marvelous things from all of my children about you especially Jace and Max. You have little Max wrapped around your finger, don't you?" She said skipping 15th handshake I was offering and going in straight for a hug.

"Actually that is probably the other way around. I don't think that I could ever say no to that guy. He is just so adorable."

"You know sweetheart, it isn't nice to talk about your boyfriend behind his back. But I guess that I will let it slide since it is my mother and you said that I was adorable." Jace said entering as well.

"Jace you stopped being adorable when you accidentally tripped me only to catch me and seem like the hero. And what is the worst thing that you could do, tell your mommy on me?" I sassed at him, hands on my hips.

"Well, just remember I know where you sleep and I can get the tickle monster here any second while you are sleeping. I would undermine my power."

"You wouldn't dare."

"Try me sweetheart."

"Oh Jace, be nice to your girlfriend. Remember this is the only girl that you have been able to keep long enough to bring home to us. In fact this is probably your longest relationship ever." His mom said gently smacking him upside the head. Now I know where Izzy got it from. I liked her already.

"Well I suggest that we all got down to dinner so we can all get to know each other. I don't know about you but I'm dying to eat and see my daddy." Izzy said carrying all of the plates out to the dining table.

"I second the motion of eating and introducing my wonderful girlfriend to my family." Jace said while walking me out of the kitchen.

"You are getting way too much joy out of this, you know that right." I said.

"Always happy to show you off baby doll. Now let's eat." He said

Hello, my little minions. Long time no actually talking to you guys like this. I hope that you are liking the way that this is going, most of you seem to. I have a big thing planned for this next week. I can't wait to see your reaction to it. Hope it knocks your socks off. I also have another out and published, but not on fanfiction because of certain rules. It is an Asking Alexandria fanfic, so most people probably will not go and look at it. Link will be in my bio or I will message it to you if you ask. Love you, my little minions.
