Jace POV

"Clary, are you okay? You were just dead and sickly and now you are perfectly fine. You look like the first time that I ever meet you." I said with my hands running furiously over her face, maybe not the best idea for someone that could of possibly just come back from the dead.

"Yeah, I feel fine. No scratches, no cuts or missing parts. There is nothing wrong with me. I feel healthy. I came back." She said keeping my hands around the frame of my face.

"Not to contradict what ever miracle just happened, but you were dead. The monitor flat lined and everything. We all said our goodbyes and I gave you the ring. Then all of the sudden, I got a burning sensation in my arm, this little scar and now you are back." I pulled the neck of my shirt over to the side to reveal the still red mark.

"Well you didn't have that before. But what is one little scar, I'm back for good now. So that is something to be happy about. I can go home soon and our lives can go back to normal."

"If you ever think that we will let you go back with these people, you have lost your mind. You died when in their care. You are coming back home with us where we can keep you safe." Her mom said as she came over and took my hands off of her.

"I'm not the one that abandoned her. I have barely slept because I was worrying so much over her. So if you even think about trying to take her away, then you are the ones that have lost your minds."

"Clary, are you really going to let him talk to him like this? We are your family and this is just some guy that you meet at a boarding school that you are going to be leaving. So I suggest that you come with us if you know what is good for you." Clary worked her way up from the bed and stood up in front of her mother.

"I wasn't barely alive for over a week. I was left for dead on a bathroom floor in some diner by some crazy, blonde bitch wielding a knife. And you never even called to check in on me the entire time that I was at that school. You dropped me off on the curb and left me. Jace and his family took me in without a blink of an eye. Don't ever think that for a second that I'm going back to the hell hole of a town with you two." She said, spitting all of her anger in her mother's face.

"You ungrateful child. We sent you to this school, paid in full, to help you try and escape what ever was driving you insane. Looks like you used our generosity to hook up with some blonde. If you think that we are going to keep on paying, then we will put you in that orphanage. And do you think this little prep boy can pay for your schooling." Her dad, even if she didn't look anything like him, spoke up.

"Well, I would pay for her education in a heart beat. Clary is now apart of our family. I haven't seen Jace so committed to a project, or in this case a relationship, before. Our family has plenty of resources to continue Clary's school. Although it is a little bit of surprise to see her up and walking around when we were just going to sign her death certificate. Anyone care to explain what is going on?" Now my mom and dad were in the room, staring wide mouthed at Clary standing and living.

"Well, whoever you want to thank right now that might have the power to bring people back from the dead, I think that we should all get on that right now. And they were even nice enough to make sure that I kept my ring, Jace." She said with a giant smile on her face while holding up her hand to show off the ring. At least her couple minutes of death had let her keep her ring.

"Look Luke, she managed to guilt him into getting her that ring,"her mom saw the Tiffany's box on the table, "Wow Clary. How many times did you sleep with him to get that from him? I thought I had raised you better to not to stoop as low as a whore." So the man's name was Luke.

"Like you always say mom 'takes one to know one'. I guess I learned from the best with you shacking up on Luke. Now I'm going to ask you nicely, please leave this room and don't come back. Just go back home and tell everyone that I was hit by a truck on the side of the road. You don't ever have to worry about seeing me again." And she looked pretty happy with this new arrangements. Frankly so was I.

"If you take this girl in," her mom said to mine "I will send over all of her records and stuff. But, I want no involvement with her anymore. I don't need updates. She has been more trouble that what she is worth. You are crazy trying to take her on with all of her different doctor visits and bills."

"Okay. I will go and get the paperwork. It should be finalized by the time that they get release Clary. And if you don't want anything to do with her again, then we can set it that way. But, I'm telling you that we are using the same one that we used to keep Jace. It says if you ever try to contact Clary, then we can and will have to arrested. What you have just displayed over the past couple months is neglect." Yep, my mom was already acting like a mother to Clary. But then again she was from the very second that she meet her.

"Just one little thing that might cause a little whole in the plans. It might have to do with the whole coming back to life after I was dead for a bit. That might make the doctors think that they are doing Voodoo or Black Magic. So, we might want to get them in here so that they don't report me to the government as the world's first zombie."Clary said while shrugging her shoulders.

So, we finally did get another nurse in the room once we had Clary looking sickish. I swore the poor lady about had a heart attack all her own. Then more and more doctors kept on coming and talking it over, mumbling about how the heart could of just been acting up. But, they still needed to keep her till the stitches healed and they made sure that her heart wouldn't act up again. But something was telling me that we wouldn't have to worry about that for a while.

So it was back hooked up only a few different machines this time. Izzy just about opened up her stitches again. She jumped up onto the bed and onto her, laughing and crying her eyes out that she had her best friend back. The rest of the night, once we had Clary's parents escorted out by security, was a party to ring in the first few hours of the year. Again, Max was sleeping at Clary's feet, like a loyal lapdog. I could sleep a little bit easier tonight knowing that she was perfect and Max was watching over her.
