"Ogiwara-kun, are you alright?" the boy asked with concern. His eyebrows furrowed, his soft blue eyes stared at the figure lying down, bruised all over his face. His lips then formed a frown, "You shouldn't try to do that..."
Ogiwara breathed out. ".. They weren't fair." There was a pout. "Kuroko, were you fine with that?"
Kuroko shook his head. "Of course I wasn't, but to do that far.. Ogiwara-kun, you're hurt now."
The bright smile of his then shined brightly like the sun, "Doesn't matter. All that matter is, they're gone now. We can play basketball again!"
The duo exchanged a brofist, with a smile plastered on their face.
The sudden appearance of the brown haired boy truly shocked him greatly. His eyes couldn't believe the figure standing in front of him, exactly what is he seeing right now? It couldn't be him, no, it can't be him. If he truly did went back in time, why is Ogiwara Shigehiro with him here? Wearing the Teiko uniform?
His thoughts wandered, and wandered, didn't reach a conclusion. By the time he was interrupted by the voice of Ogiwara, he tried to compose himself, not looking suspicious or anything. "Kuroko, are you alright? You look a tad bit too pale.." He said, worrying about the teal haired boy.
As Kuroko answered with a yes, saying that he shouldn't worry about him, Ogiwara smiled brightly once more. Without knowing that his smile brought back Kuroko's bad memory. He hadn't seen that smile for a long time, too long.
What is this?
Did God truly gave him a chance to change all of the things happened in the past?
Kuroko was happy enough in Seirin. And with his old past, he accepted his fate that time. People change, he thought. And Arrogance changed them into like that, he didn't really feel that this middle school cycle should be repeated with different characters.
... Or maybe, this if for Ogiwara?
One thing that he always regretted was the fact that he made Ogiwara stop playing basketball. Even though he did gave him his wristband, with big hope. Probably Ogiwara still played basketball, but the face he made at the final match made Kuroko's heart torn.
He didn't dare to see that expression again, not in Ogiwara's face.
"Probably you should go see a doctor, you really look pale.." Said Ogiwara, his forehead resting on Kuroko's, checking his temperature.
"I am okay, Ogiwara-kun."
.. One thing that Kuroko wondered was...
If this isn't time travel, what is it?
"Sweet! We're in the same class, Kuroko!" He grinned with a sunny gleam on his eyes. "Isn't that great?"
Kuroko only nodded with a slight smile. "It is. Well, we should get to the class." He suggested, starting to walk to their class, class 1-3 following the map (although he clearly remembers where.)
"Oh, sorry Kuroko. I need to go to the bathroom." Ogiwara said with hurry.
An eyebrow was raised, as the other boy rushed himself to the toilet, ditching Kuroko all alone; "I'll catch up! Go to the class yourself!"
And so, Kuroko sighed and turned his back away from the running boy, "Sorry." a voice was heard, he massaged his temple, feeling a bit dizzy. What was that..Certainly, I don't know what is happening... But I guess I should follow the flow for now, while thinking the solution for this solution.
The teal haired boy, raised his head to look at the sign, which signed; "Class 1-3" He was ready.
Soon after Kuroko entered the classroom, he was greeted by a sight of a tan skinned tall boy sleeping on his desk, snoring loudly, a girl with a boy that many men lusts for trying to wake up the boy, boys asking to a green haired boy what the hell is he carrying and a red haired boy sitting on his chair like a king, giving an aura of a gentleman while girls stealing glances at him while chatting to each other.
Aomine-kun, Midorima-kun, Momoi-san, Akashi-kun.
Kuroko composed himself, and walked to his seat, of course without anyone noticing due to his lack of presence. He pulled out a book, pretending to read it when he actually was thinking deeply about the class arrangement.
I don't remember being at the same class as them.
This is getting more confusing, or so he thought. He glanced at the door, wondering why was Ogiwara so long. The teacher is going to get here soon, why isn't he here yet? Did he get lost?
And bless you Ogiwara, long life for you, he came right in it, opening the door with hurry that it gained many attention from the students. "Excuse me, is this class 1-3?" He shouted, sweating and clearly out of breath. It was obvious that he ran the way to here.
Aomine who heard the ruckus, woke up and yawned loudly. Momoi snapped her attention back to Aomine and scolded, "About time you've waken up, jeez."
Ogiwara, who was still catching up his breath, received his answer from the red haired boy, Akashi Seijuro. "Yes, this is class 1-3, fellow classmate." Akashi smiled tenderly, the girls who managed to see the sight, sighed happily.
The boy grinned, "Thanks!" his brown eyes scanned the room, "Oh, there he is! Oi, Kuroko!" Ogiwara walked near to Kuroko's seat, taking a seat behind Kuroko. "Sorry I took so long, I was kind of lost."
Hearing that, Kuroko nodded, "I kind of expected that."
While the duo talked to each other, they didn't hear the classmates, who murmured over the boy whom they didn't see coming to the class.
Akashi, stared long at both of them, before turning away, greeting the teacher who finally came.
Break started, as Kuroko suspected, Ogiwara became the center of attention immediately. It was given, due to his cheerful, easy going and bright aura he had. It was refreshing to see Ogiwara Shigehiro after all, thought Kuroko. Of course, Akashi also became the center of attention.
"Hey, nice to meet you!" A boy suddenly called up for Kuroko. Kuroko, a bit surprised nodded and said his greetings as well. "For a person, you're quite invisible." The boy grinned, "I didn't notice you until Shige called for you."
Already in first names, Ogiwara-kun is certainly amazing. Kuroko thought, Maybe this time is really different. With Ogiwara-kun here..
Yes, He realized.
With Ogiwara in Teiko, that accident wouldn't happen.
Ogiwara would continue to love basketball.
Ogiwara would continue to play.
And maybe, things could be much more better.
"Do you enjoy this world?"
A deep, yet light voice asked. The voice was filled with concern, worry, yet pain was also in there, almost like, the voice was strained too. His head felt more dizzier than the morning, it was like the world was spinning. It was the same voice from the morning as well, "I would like this too." The voice continued, cracking a bit. "I'm sorry for what I've done."
His body felt like burning up, his breath became heavier.
Then, suddenly he was already on the floor, his head contacting with the hard ceramic floor.
"Kuroko, are you alright?!" the voice of Ogiwara shouted with worry. Reflected on Kuroko's blue orbs, was the worry face of Ogiwara Shigehiro, that was the final sight Kuroko saw before closing his eyes, blacking out.
"I'll go get the nurse." Ken, a boy with light blonde hair said, making his way to the door until a hand interrupted him.
It was Midorima Shintaro's hand. "No, just get him to the nurse room. He only needs to rest." Midorima said, checking Kuroko. "My parents runs a hospital, trust me in this."
Ogiwara listened, then nodded. He then carried Kuroko to the nurse room, with the help of a sleepy Aomine Daiki.
'Am I'm dreaming now?'
A teal haired boy thought, as his eyes traveled around the bright space, seeing nothing but white. 'What is this?'
'You're awake! I wanted to talk to you' a voice startled him, it was behind him.
he turned to his back, seeing a man he recognized. Although a bit different, but Kuroko can still know, who the person is. 'You are...'
