Arc 2: Ladies and Gentlemen, Let's get Ready to Henshiiiiiiiin!
Part 1: Let's go to the Games
Disclaimer: Kamen Rider is owned be Toei and Shotoro Ishimono, I own nothing but this Fanfic.
Ren was on his knees, panting. His opponent was using the Gai deck, and he already used both his Confine Vents on Ren's Sword and Guard Vents. Gai had given him a fair beating with his Strike Vent. Fortunately, Ren had a couple more cards up his sleeve. No pun intended.
Ren retrieved a card from a deck that was lodged in his belt. Retrieving the thin sword with a large guard on it, he pulled a lever on his sword's hilt, opening up a panel in its guard. He placed the card in the open panel and pushed the lever back into place.
Trick Vent
Knight got to his feet and divided into five different copies. Gai stopped, confused at his opponent's unexpected tactic. The five copies simultaneously ran toward Gai. He parried the first attack, but was helpless to stop the series of hits the copies made with their swords. They continued to hit him until he was on his knees, and the copies disappeared. The black Rider retrieved another card from his belt, opened up the hatch in his sword, placed the card in and closed the visor.
Final Vent
From the mirror at the corner of the ring, a large, black bat creature appeared. It flew towards Knight and attached to the back of his suit. It turned into a long flowing cape. Knight began to run towards Gai. He jumped into the air and the cape twirled around him as he descended on his opponent. His spiraling kick rammed into Gai at a great speed, causing a small explosion. When the dust settled, everyone saw Knight standing over an unconscious Gai.
Medics rushed onto the field and removed Gai's deck from his belt, his armor disappearing in a flash, leaving a young man lying on the ground. The Medics lifted him onto a sick bed and carried him out. Ren looked up to see the large crowd applauding loudly, crying his name; "Ren! Ren! Ren!"
"Ladies and Gentlemen, give it up! For his 15th consecutive win, Ren Akiyama!"
The crowd cried louder and Ren raised his sword high in the air, in victory.
Ryoutaro dashed to and from each table in the café, giving each customer their appointed beverage. He eventually placed some cups of coffee on a table full of teenagers.
"Oh, thank you Ryoutaro!" One of the girls thanked.
"Oh no, my dear." Ryoutaro pulled over a nearby chair and sat down beside her. "The pleasure was all mine."
"Umm... Ryoutaro? A-Are you okay? You seem kind of... different today." Indeed, Ryoutaro's hair was now brushed neatly, with a single blue highlight in it and he wore a pair of glasses.
"Oh, I'm just perfect, sweetie.."
"S-Sweetie?!"
'Hey. Ura. Back to work. Now.' Ryoutaro ordered.
"Yes, boss." Urataros sarcastically mumbled, getting back to his work, leaving the girls confused and embarrassed.
'I'm letting you guys take control of me and help me out because you guys kept saying 'You need to take a break', but I can't do that if I need to turn my back every 2 seconds to stop you from embarrassing me!' He scolded.
'But~ We need a social life too!' Ryutaros complained.
'Yeah! Ever since that fight with that Imagin-Rider bastard, we haven't been able to do anything!' Momo added.
'Listen, How about this: if any of you guys get my work done properly, we can go... do... things."
"Yay! I love things!" Ryutaros cheered.
"Anyway..." One of the girls restarted their conversation, still a bit flustered. "Have you heard about these new underground fighting arenas?"
"Huh? What are you talking about?" Another girl asked, confused at her friend's new topic.
"Didn't you hear? It's a secret underground arena where all these masked super-fighters battle! I think they're called 'Kamen Riders'."
Urataros stopped his errands after hearing those familiar words. "That sounds kind of childish." Another girl commented.
"I was thinking so too, but then Marissa said that she went and it was cool! She went to that old parking building, and apparently, you have to snoop around to find the entrance."
'Hey, hey! Are you thinkin' what I'm thinkin'?' Momotaros asked.
'That those Kamen Riders are connected to Shocker?' Kintaros suggested.
"Yes. If we were to investigate these underground fights, perhaps we'll find the belts of the other Riders." Urataros explained. "So, perhaps we should see what we can reel in."
'Yay! We're investigating!' Ryutaros laughed. 'We get to be detectives again!'
'What do you mean 'Again'?' Ryoutaro asked. 'Wait, wait, wait, get back to work! We can go savin' the world when the customers are happy!' he barked, like an angry employer.
Ryoutaro was standing outside of an old building, inspecting it from outside. It used to be a place where people entering the city could park their cars for the day. But since it was so faraway from any shopping area, it is now closed down and abandoned. "Perfect place for hiding fights."
'So, where do we start snoopin' around?' Momo asked.
'The next logical step is to find the place inside where they fight.' Urataros explained. 'I suggest-'
"Excuse me! Excuse me!" Ryoutaro was called out of his conversation with his friends. He turned to his right and saw a young man running down the street towards him. He stopped in front of him, panting. "You're here for it, aren't you?" he asked, excitement clearly evident in his eyes.
"Umm, what are you talking ab-"
"Hang on a sec!" He reached inside his jacket pocket and pulled our a flip-up note pad and pencil. "Is this your first time going to the games? What is it like? Have there been any deaths in it? Do you know who's participating? Do you know who's organising-?"
"Whoa, whoa, whoa! Calm down there!" Ryoutaro said. "Who the heck are you?"
"Oh, right." He placed his notebook and pencil under his upper arm and extended his other arm. "Nice to meet you! My name's Shinji Kido, I'm a journalist investigating these underground fights." Ryoutaro accepted his handshake. "Anyway, back to the questions. How many times have you been to his event? Would you say you've become addicted to it? Where do you live? What's your star-sign? Date of birth? Bank account num-"
"Shut up!" Ryoutaro hit Shinji on the end, causing a stop to his horde of questions. "I've never been to these fights before!"
"Oh, right." Shinji began to walk away.
"Hey wait! I wasn't done talking!" Ryoutaro yelled angrily as he ran to catch up with him. "I'm Ryoutaro Nogami. I'm also investigating these fights."
Shinji moved his notebook close to his chest, protectively. "I'm letting out any leads..."
"I'm not part of the media either!"
'Wait a minute... Shinji?' Momotaros mumbled to himself. 'He seems familiar.'
'Hey! Isn't he the guy like me?' Ryutaros suggested.
'What the heck are you talking about, brat?'
'He's also a dragon~!'
'I have no idea what you're talking about...'
'Dear lord, senpai... Shinji Kido was Kamen Rider Ryuki in our world.'
'Oh... Ryoutaro stay with that guy!'
"Okay. Um... look, maybe we can help each other."
"Oh yeah?" Shinji raised an eyebrow. "Give me one reason why I should."
"Umm, well..." Ryoutaro pondered, trying to think of a give enough reason. "You see... if I'm with you, you can... be more sneaky?" Ryoutaro suggested.
'There's no way he'll fall for that...' Urataros sighed.
'You messed up our good chance, Ryoutaro...' Momo grumbled.
"Hmm, I guess you're right." Shinji shrugged.
'He bought it!' Everyone cried in unison.
"You guys don't have to yell at the same time like that..." Ryoutaro sighed.
"Who are you talking to?"
"U-um, no one!"
"Hurry up, Rookie!" Shinji barked as the two of them made their way inside the abandoned building. They observed the inside and saw nothing special, just empty parking spaces, columns keeping the above floors and broken vending machines.
"Well, this looks like a dead end." Ryoutaro sighed.
"Hehehe, you can't see the forest for the trees, can you?" Shinji sniggered as he walked towards one of the broken down vending machines. "Here, help me move this."
Ryoutaro helped Shinji as they shoved it across, revealing a hole in the wall leading to a spiral staircase downstairs. "You knew that was there, didn't you?" Ryoutaro asked.
"I got a tip..." They both bent down and reached inside the small gap. "After you." Ryoutaro led the way down the staircase, seeing a light a couple of meters down. They both climbed down and reached a corridor. It was littered with dirt and graffiti on the walls with empty, disposable plastic cups liquids running down the sides of the floor. They continued down it, turning some corners here and there until they came to the end. They saw a man dressed casually sitting down in a chair behind a desk, with pens and papers on it. Behind him, the path split in two, left and right.
Cautiously, the two of them approached him until he noticed their presence. "Watching or participating?"
The two of them were caught of guard. "W-what?"
"Are you watching or are you participating?"
"Um... we're watch-" Ryoutaro was cut off by Shinji grabbing him and dragging him back, confusing the man behind the desk. "What are you doing?!"
"He's asking if we're watching the fights or taking part. If one of us watches and one of us participates, we can get as much information as we can."
"Since when could we fight?"
"Just go with it."
They returned to the man. "I'll be fighting and my friend here will be watching." Ryoutaro explained.
"Alright, would you please take this path." He explained to Shinji, pointing down the right path.
"Good luck." Shinji whispered before following down the path.
"Now for you." The receptionist turned back to Ryoutaro. He picked up a pen and one of the papers. "We need you to put down some personal information. You'll be processed, which could take a couple of weeks. Then we'll need to take a physical test to see if you're up to our standards. And then-"
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, back up. I was thinking about taking part... now."
"Hehe, yeah right." The receptionist snickered. "We can't just put anyone in there. Last time that happened, he almost lost a couple of limbs. So if we let a kid like you in, you'll probably go home crying to your mom!"
'Cry?'
"Oh no, not now..." Ryoutaro nervously whispered as his body flashed yellow and his hair suddenly tied back into a ponytail with a yellow highlight. He chopped the table, causing it to break and fall on its sides and the papers fly throughout the air. "My strength shall make you cry!" he declared. The receptionist stared blankly at Ryoutaro. He then calmly sat up and walked down the left path.
'Well done Kintaros, we're now gonna get thrown out.'
"I apologize. But my call to battle yearned me."
'You can't just keep doing this just because someone says 'cry'.'
"It shall make you cry!"
The two were interrupted when they heard a man running down the left corridor. He wore a business suit, but it looked like it was very worn out. He stopped in front of Kintaros, panting, and was followed by the receptionist and another man. "That's him, sir! That super strong guy!"
"What's your name?" he demanded from Ryoutaro.
"I am Ryoutaro Nogami."
The man slowly walked towards Ryoutaro, staring him in eye, judging him. "... Yes! You'll do very well!" The man held a piece of paper up in Ryoutaro's face. "Just sign your name right here, and you can participate in the battles!"
"Umm... thank you." Kin accepted the paper. "I need a pen to-"
"No wait, we need you in the ring in a matter of minutes! There's no time for that!" He swatted the paper out of Kintaros' hand. "Mister Sakakibara, please lead him to the changing rooms."
"Yes, sir." The second man grabbed Ryoutaro and began to drag him down the left path.
"Wait, wait! What is this all about?!" Kintaros asked.
"I'm sorry to force this unto you, but a recent participant just pulled out, and we need him for the next match." The man placed a hand on the receptionist's shoulder. "My employee here told me that you're pretty strong and that you want to participate. So our problem's solved! Good luck in there!" He waved to Kintaros.
"Umm, thanks mister... what was your name?" Kintaros asked as he was pulled down the hall.
"Asakura. Takeshi Asakura." He answered as Ryoutaro disappeared behind the doors.
"Umm, Sir? Is it entirely okay to just let anyone in here?" The receptionist answered. "He could be... that person."
"You mean our little guest?" Asakura chuckled. "This mysterious red dragon Rider... if this goes on, I'll have to take care of him personally." he grinned as he pulled a purple deck with a golden symbol of a cobra on it out from his pocket. He stared at it and smiled devilishly.
Next time on Kamen Riders New Genesis:
"So, which deck shall you choose?"
Final Vent
"I can't hear you!"
"Well, ya see, there's been a thief sneaking in every night, transformed as a red Rider. He doesn't steal anything, but he keeps getting away."
"Do not get involved with me, you stupid paparazzi kid." Len threatened as he held Shinji by his collar. "You understand nothing!"
"I may not understand you now, but... I will find the truth. No matter what!"
AN: I'm sorry if this chapter was kind of short, but I feel like there should be a new chapter out. And hey, with the way I'm planning things out, I will have the Ryuki Arc done with in another two chapters!
