Icepaw shook her head as she remembered the secret meeting between Ivyfire and Tigerheart.

She gasped as she saw two cats sit near the ShadowClan and ThunderClan border. The musky foul smell of ShadowClan and the forest tree smell clashed together in the air.

Her paws clenched as she overheard the whispered voices.

"I know you like Dovewing and you know I like Bumblestripe. This past moon Dovewing has suffered a case of amnesia and now she doesn't remember anything about Bumblestripe."

"Oh. I get where you are going. You are going to separate them right?"

"No. I am gong to do something more evil them that. I have decided that if Bumblestripe doesn't like me, then no cat can have him. insert evil cat laugh"

"Then why do you need me? Plus all I'm going for is Dovewing."

"Well don't you want to get your revenge on Bumblestripe for stealing Dovewing?"

"Now that you say that... Fine I will help you as long as I am not blamed for the attack."

"Why of course dear partner. I am the mastermind after all."

The memory quickly dispersed after she quickly shook her head. She focuses her energy at the task at hand or paw, if you wish. She had to get Ivyfire away from Dovewing and Bumblestripe as soon as possible.

"Umm. Ivyfire? Can you give me a few tips that I can show the other apprentices? I want to dominate them and be the best, but Dovewing hasn't teaches me any useful moves." Icepaw started as she approached the reddish brown she-cat. She gave a wave of annoyance as she said her mentor's name.

Ivyfire blinked as she stared at the apprentice before chuckling darkly. Icepaw gave her back a glare of equal meaning. The meaning of question, doubt, and selfishness.

"Fine little warrior. I'll help you. Put your paws here and here now kick back when they get near you. Don't forget to put your paws in front of you as you attack them. Good. You are a quick learner."

Icepaw smirked and gave a nod of thanks as she walked towards where Dovewing was sitting. She listened to the small chat between her mentor and her sister. She glanced at the leaders and saw that the leaders were beginning to start the gathering.

"Welcome all cats to this gathering. We have decided that ThunderClan will start first. " announced Onestar.

"Thank you Onestar. This moon has brought many prey into our territory. We have four new apprentices :Pinepaw, Cherrypaw, Darkpaw, and Icepaw. Our fellow warrior Dovewing has suffered a case of memory loss according to Jayfeather. We hope she regains her memories soon."

Murmurs of agreement and sympathy rippled throughout the crowd of cats.

"Now I will let Mistystar speak."

"Thank you Bramblestar and RiverClan hopes for good health for Dovewing. RiverClan has had good hunting too though some of our prey has been quite slippery. Thank you."

"WindClan has also had some fine hunting the past moon. We also have two new warriors : Applefur and Nutfur."

Many meows of approval was heard but mainly coming from the WindClan cats. Shadowclan however lurked in the sidelines.

"Hey Bumblestripe can I show you something?" Whispered Ivyfire as she poked the male cat with her tail.

"But the gathering is still going? What will our leader say if we miss something important?" He glanced at her sad face and dropped tail before giving in and saying," Fine. I'll go with you. Where is it?"

"Oh. It's near the shore. Come on follow me." She led him to the trunk where the fallen tree met the island and jumped on to the slippery moss.

"Be careful! I don't want you to get sick because of falling into the lake!"

But just as he said the warning, her legs slipped and tumbled down and into the icy cold lake. Bumblestripe quickly jumped after her, swimming awkwardly at first to where she fell.

'Perfect.'

Suddenly strong paws pushed Bumblestripe's head into the dark water. He gasped as he tried to reach the surface. His paws waving frantically in the water then as if in slow motion he closed his eyes and gave out to the strong push.

Ivyfire appeared through the water and nodded at Tigerheart. 'Good. Good.'
