"Did you capture him"? Dr. Hugo Strange asked. "Yes", Jason Todd answered through the phone. "Good, now with him out of the way, my plan can begin". "As you wish my lord". Strange hung up the phone and turned to the guard in the room. "Spread the word to the others. Tonight, Arkham City will rise"!
Ra's al Ghul patiently waited. It was not unlike the Joker to be late but this was getting ridiculous. Suddenly a truck came screeching to a halt. Ra's men stirred but Ra's said "Calm yourselves" and they relaxed. The truck's doors opened and the Joker and his men came spilling out. "Well, well if it isn't the 'Immortal' himself, Ra's al Ghul"! The Joker smiled his grotesque grin and Ra's didn't even flinch. "I assume you're aware of my current situation", Ra's asked as the Joker chuckled a bit. "Of course, but I must say, not one of your finest moments". Ra's continued "I fear that Middleton will no longer exist by the time the clock strikes twelve". The Joker's smile wavered. "What do you mean"? "Middleton will fall by midnight". "Why would you want to do that", the Joker asked. "Not by my doing, by another's. I know of this because I captured one of his men. He told me 'Arkham will rise and Middleton will fall by midnight' before killing himself". The Joker nodded, stating "He has a good sense of humor". Ra's frowned before saying "This is serious. The reason I asked you to come here today was because when this apocalypse starts, we must band together to survive". "You're proposing we start an alliance"? Ra's nodded. "Well request denied! I work alone little guy and I can't have you getting in the way". "Why? What do you have planned"? The Joker grinned and said "You'll just have to wait and see".
Kim Possible was walking home when a loud scream came from her house. She rushed inside to find her father holding a knife against her mother. "DAD! WHAT ARE YOU DOING"?! James Possible looked up, his eyes bloodred. "Kill", he rasped in a voice most unlike his own. Anne Possible started to tear up. It hurt her so much to see her husband like this. "Jim, remember that time when we had that picnic on the hill? After we got detention together"? Mr. Possible hesitated, soaking in her words. "Remember when you asked me to marry you? You almost broke your neck trying to say you love me", Mrs. Possible said laughing a little. Mr. Possible dropped the knife and started convulsing. He screamed and his eyes kept changing from red to normal and back. It wasn't enough. "Dad, remember that one time when we all had Christmas in Antarctica? Even with Drakken and Shego? Can we please be that family again"? Her father finally stopped convulsing and his eyes to normal again. "Kimmie cub"? And with that he fainted.
Jim Gordon was very busy to say the least. With the Joker gone all of Middleton was at risk. "Gordon, Dr. Strange would like to see you", said one of the guards at Arkham. "Can't it wait? I'm a little busy". "I'm sorry sir but he insists it's urgent". Gordon looked up at the young guard and reluctantly followed him. When they arrived, the guard opened the door and Strange looked up from his desk and said "Ah, Gordon. Why don't you come in"? Gordon stepped inside his office, which was filled to the brim with papers and technology with a large window overlooking the city of Upperton. "It's beautiful, isn't it? Upperton"? "Uh, sure", Gordon said, not really following. "Do you want to know something Gordon", Strange said sitting down. "People fear what they don't understand. If you take that fear and manifest it into reality, then they lose their minds". Gordon stared at him quizzically. "What's this about Strange"? "You know, in this town, people know more criminals than actual government officials. Well, I intend to change that tonight". Before Gordon could say another word, he was clubbed from behind.
It was 11:50 at night. Kim ought to be in bed by now, but she couldn't stand not doing anything. But there was nothing else to do. She had already filled out her college applications, the Joker was nowhere to be found and Gordon hadn't called her to say that he needed her at Arkham. She looked out her bedroom window at Ron's house. She then decided to sneak out to his place. Kim opened her window and jumped out and ran across the grass. She climbed his wall like a monkey and looked inside his window.
Ron Stoppable was doing the stupidest thing ever. He was sitting on his bed, eating nachos, watching Netflix while talking with someone on the phone at the same time. Kim saw him hang up on the phone and then tapped on his window. He jumped so high you'd have thought he was a kangaroo. He opened the window and asked her "What are you doing"? "I'm bored, let's watch some Netflix". Ron sighed before saying "All right". They plopped on his bed and Rufus also came up to them. "Who were you on the phone with"? Ron hesitated before saying "No one". Before Kim could press on, suddenly, the lights and T.V flickered off. Kim stood up and asked "What was that"? "Probably the electric company having a blackout, happens to us all the time". "But it's happening all over the street"! They looked out the window and saw all the lights going out all across the street, even Kim's own house. They heard a large bang they rushed downstairs. Ron gasped as he saw four armed masked men standing over his parent's bloody bodies. "There they are", one of them said and they raised their guns. "Ron, let's go"! Kim said as she grabbed Ron who seemed incapable of moving. They rushed up the stairs and jumped out the window.
"Kim, what's going on" Anne said as she and Ron entered the house. "Mom, we need to go", she said as Jim and Tim came downstairs. "Mom, what happened"? "Our power went out"! "There's no time to explain, we have to get out"! Kim shouted as Anne went upstairs to retrieve James who was still unconscious after the red eyes incident. They all rushed out of the house and into the car. Once they were all inside, Anne stepped on the gas and they rushed down the street. "Kim, tell me what's going on"! Anne shouted which made Kim cringe, as she had never heard her shout before. "I don't know, but I was at Ron's house"- "I thought I told you to"- "Mom! Anyways, these guys come in with machine guns and they… they"-"They killed my parents", Ron said in a hollow voice. The car was silent after that. "Mom, I have to get to Arkham", Kim said "Why"? "That's where Gordon is".
"Strange, where's Gordon"? Kim asked as she approached Dr. Strange. "He is over here in my office, where we can discuss the power situation". They walked past cells with patients screaming for vengeance. "So was the power outage intentional", Kim asked as they hurried past. "I'm afraid so". Strange opened his office door and closed it quickly. "Gordon"! Kim shouted as she rushed to the unconscious commissioner. She failed to notice that Strange locked the door behind her. "Dr. Strange, what's going on"! Kim shouted as he sat behind his desk rather calmly. "Ms. Possible, this city is corrupt". "What? We don't have time for a history lesson"! "Actually, we have about"- He checked his watch before saying "Half an hour". "Half an hour till what"? Strange nodded behind her and she turned and got a fist in her stomach. She back flipped and her assailant stepped out from the shadows. Kim gasped and said "Warhok"?
