~Chapter 8- Telling James~

~Lexi's P.O.V~
So I just got back from the hospital and James wrote me a note saying he went out to the store to get food for dinner. So now I enough time to surprise James with the news. So I got back into my car and drove to the nearest craft's store and bought knitting needles and mint green yarn so I can make baby booties and leave them in James's sock drawer.
-Few minutes later-
Just as I finished the note and attached it to the booties and slipped them into James's sock drawer I heard James pulling into the drive way. So I quickly ran down the stairs carefully and made it look like I was coming from the bathroom around the corner. He smiled a little when he saw me and handed me pink roses and I smiled. "So how was your appointment at the doctor's", he asked as he and I started putting the food away. "Well the good news is I don't have the Flu", I replied with a smile. "So if it's not the flu then what's wrong", James asked looking at me with concern. I then thought this could be a good time for my plan to work. "I completely forgot I did laundry and for some reason I forgot to put your socks away. Could you do it please" I asked James giving him the puppy dog eyes I know he can't refuse.
~ James's P.O.V~
I know Lexi's hiding something because it's not like her to leave my socks out and not putting them away. Not that I don't do it I assure you. When I got to my room the socks were sitting on my bed so I quickly grabbed them and when I opened my drawer that's when I saw the green booties and there was a note attached to them.
"Hi daddy I love u and I can't wait to meet you, Love baby diamond "
As I read the note I didn't realize Lexi was standing in the door frame smiling watching me. I smiled and hugged her slowly and carefully picking her up. "Were going to have a baby", I sad as Lexi giggled. As I put her down the next thing I know I woke up and I was laying on my bed with a wash cloth on my forehead . I slowly sat up and looked at Lexi. "What happened", I asked feeling a little out of it. "You passed out babe are you okay", she asked feeling my head and I placed my hand on her cheek. "I'm okay Lexi I just can't believe were having a baby", I replied as I saw Lexi's smile faded. "So you're not happy", she asked looking sad. "Baby I'm so happy but I am nervous it's been a while since either of us had a baby but I have no doubt that we can do this but I think it's best if we take your Grandma's house since there's like 5 or 6 room's so there'd be enough for the older kids can have their own rooms and there'd still be room for the baby and us", I said as Lexi laded down. "So you wanna tell the kids when they come home tomorrow", she asked. I nodded and as she and I made dinner we talked about how we should tell the kids and both of our mom's and my dad. We know that our Mom's will be super per excited but we are both nervous about how the kids will take it especially because their whole lives are going to change not only because Lexi and I are getting married but now were expecting a baby and moving back to Minnesota. I just hope Jordan will be okay with this because he never had a mom in his life considering his birth mom was selfish and wasn't ready to be a wife or a mother. But I'm sure he would love having Lexi as his mom and Loraine and Arianna as his step sisters.
