Chapter nine- One big happy Family?

Lexi's P.O.V

I woke up early this morning not only because of my Morning sickness but because Loraine and Arianna are coming back from there two month visit with their dad. Later that afternoon I was waiting at the air port and finally the loud speaker announced my daughters flight just arrived.

After the announcement I saw my girls. Loraine and Arianna smiled as they saw me they both ran over to me and the three of us hugged. During the car ride home I was asking the girls how their visit went their Dad and they asked me how the wedding plans. I just killed me inside hiding the truth about the big move and the baby from them.

That night James and I took the kids out to dinner to celebrate their home coming. Jordan reminds me so much of James when he was thirteen even though he's not obsessed with his looks and looking at himself in a mirror and carrying around the "lucky comb". After dinner we had dessert and then we headed back to James's house and we sat the kid's in the media room. " So while you guys were gone a lot has happened", James said sitting next to me holding my hand indicating it was my turn to talk. "Kid's while you were gone The Dupree family including myself and James had a family meeting to look at Great-grandma Rachel's will and in her will she left me her house the one I showed you girl's every time we came to Minnesota", I explained as watching their face's turn to frowns. "So were all moving here then", Jordan askedlooking passed me and looking at James. We both nodded. But before anyone says anything I sighed. "There's more important news we have", I said holding James's hand tighter. "Really Mom like moving your daughters to a town that's more boring than watching paint dry wasn't even bad enough what else could be more important", Loraine said snapping at me and glaring at James. I sighed and looked down for a minute. "I'm Pregnant", I replied looking up only to see Loraine getting up and I could tell she was mad. "Mom that's great", Arianna said getting up to hug me and then James and then Jordan did the same. Loraine was still glaring at me. "If you expect me to be happy and okay with this then you're both sadly mistaken", Loraine shouted running up the stairs to the quest room that she was going to be sleeping alone in because Ari had her own. I quickly got up and followed her. "Loraine Veronica George you open this door right now please", I said knocking on the door. Soon she opened the door and allowed me to go inside and I sat on the end of her bed with her. "How could you do this to us Mom? Don't you even care that you're taking me and Ari away from New York. Dad would have never done this to us", Loraine said not even looking at me. "Sweetie please don't compare me to your dad. Do you know this was the hardiest decision I ever had to make", I said as Loraine rolled her eyes. "So I'm guessing it wasn't that hard of a decision letting James knock you up and getting pregnant", Loraine snapped! "Loraine I am still your mother so you will apologize not only to me but to James", I snapped back at her! That's when Lorain pulled out her cell phone and called my mom to ask if she could stay with her and my mom picked her up and Loraine was gone. I just sat in the room alone and had a break down knowing I hurt my girls.

-Later that night-

James's P.O.V

I went looking for Lexi in the house after Loraine left and Arianna had gone to bed and so did Jordan. I soon found Lexi in the guest room Loraine was going to sleep in and she was shaking and crying hard. I carefully lifted Lexi up and put her on my lap and that's when she told me what happened with her and Loraine and what she had said to Lexi. I felt bad because the Lexi and I got pregnant I didn't realize the protection failed. I know that Loraine doesn't like me but I hate seeing her and Lex fight so after Lexi finally fell asleep I decided to go talk to Loraine the next morning by myself.

-Next morning-

The next morning I woke up quietly and got dressed and drove to Mama Dupree's house. I rang the door bell a few minutes later when I got there and I knew Mrs. Dupree was already awake. Soon the door opened and Mrs. Dupree was surprised to see me. "Sorry to wake you but is Loraine I want to speak to her", I explained. "Loraine never went to bed", she said leading me inside to where Loraine was sitting on the window ledge cushion. When she turned to face me I could tell she had been crying and then she did something that surprised me. When she got up she ran into my arms and started crying harder and I held her close as if she were my own daughter. After a little while she started to calm down and then we broke apart from our hug and we sat down on the couch. "Is Mom okay", Loraine asked and I now could see the concern in her eyes. I sighed and looked at her. "Honestly Loraine you hurt your mom's feelings and she doesn't know I'm here', I said as Loraine sighed. " I've been up all night thinking a lot about what happened and I know you and Mom were thinking about what was best for us kids and putting our needs first before yours. And about the new baby I am excited about it and I'll be more than happy to help you guys anyway I can", Loraine said smiling and whipping her eye's with her hand like Lexi does a lot. I smiled and gently hugged her again. " I know you have a dad but I promise I'm going to be the best stepdad to you and Arianna and I'll always be here for you", I replied which must have surprised her because she hugged me tightly and then we grabbed her bags and brought her back to my house. Later that afternoon Lexi and I told the news to our mom's and they both cried and hugged the both of us. After that Lexi and I made plans to return to New York and Los Angeles to put our apartments up on lease and we got her uncle Mark and Carlos go to New York with Lexi and the girl's and I got Logan and Kendall to go to LA with me and Jordan and then fly back to Minnesota and the rest of the boxes would be sent to the house in Minnesota. Before we knew it the day had come for me and Lexi to be apart to pack up our thing's and bring them together in the new house. As I sat on the flight to LA I started missing Lexi but I had to remind myself that I was going to see her in three day's at the new house and the best part is her uncle's agreed to do the renovations when we got back and then Lexi will show them what kind of garnet she wants in the kitchen and when it's time to paint the kids, Lexi and I will paint the walls down stairs in the living room and I got the guys to help when Lexi would need her break. And we decided after the house is finished she and I will finish planning our wedding and then after she and I will find out our baby's gender.
