Chapter 12- wedding planning and Baby gender surprise

Lexi's P.O.V
It's been a few days since the court day. Since then he and I started planning the wedding and so far we have a date and location. This afternoon James and I are going to the doctors to find out the gender of our baby. James thinks it's a girl but I think it's a boy. But I don't really care I just wanna make sure our baby is healthy and strong.
James's P.O.V
~An hour later~
The nurse helped Lexi on to the hospital sonogram table and we waited for the doctor who Logan recommended. I smiled when the doctor came in and introduced herself as Doctor Janice Miguel. Soon she put the gel on Lexi's stomach and soon found our little baby. "Alright everything looks good and I am very pleased to tell you you're having a Daughter", she said showing us our baby girl. But then she took a closer look and quickly looked back up to us. "Well it looks like your daughter has company", she said making the screen larger revealing another baby. "Wait so you're telling me I'm having twins", Lexi asked looking at the doctor and then back to the screen. Doctor Miguel nodded. "I understand this is a shock but the surprise baby is a boy and he looks healthy like his sister", she said and then went into another room to print out the sonogram photos. I smiled and looked over at Lexi and she had tears in her eyes. I got up and went over to her and kissed her head and she smiled. "I love you so much baby", she said kissing my cheek. We both smiled at the sonogram photos of our daughter and son and I couldn't be more proud. Then Doctor Miguel came back in with Lexi's vitamins and pan flits on being pregnant with twins and to what to expect and she then told us that the due date is May 25th which works out because Lexi and I are getting married in February even though our original idea was for may. As I drove home Lex and I kept spit balling name ideas at each other. She liked the names Emily, Brooklyn and Addison for girls. I liked either Dylan which is my dad's name or Gregory which was Lexi's father's name. We also discussed the color for the nursery and clothes. We decided the room was gonna be a light green and the walls were gonna have animals on it and the clothes were going to be yellow for our daughter and green for our son.
When we got home we told the kids the news and they were just as surprised as we are. When my mom came home we told her and Lexi's mom together and they were so excited and can't wait to spoil them like all grandmothers do and still spoil the older kids to. After dinner we all sat down in the media room and the kids wrote down the names they liked for girls and boys. We both smiled when we decided on the twins first and middle names and who the god parents will be.
