Her smirk grew wider as Andrea drawled out," Well, Richie, you know that I really don't care."

Bender let a small smile spread across his face at her words. It was rare to see anyone besides him messing with Vernon. John waited with a bated breath for Vernon's predictable punishment.

His face slowly turning red, Vernon snapped out," Detention, young lady."

She rolled her eyes and laid back in her seat, propping her boots up on the table.

Standing at the front, Vernon announced," It is know 7:06. You have exactly eight hours and fifty-four minutes to think about why you're here. Ponder the error of your ways."

Andrea watched as Bender leaned back in his seat. She laughed a little at the expression on the Princess's face when he hawked and swallowed it. Said Princess turned around and gave her what was supposed to be a death glare. This is going to be so much fun.

Vernon continued on with his rant as though nothing had interrupted him," You may not talk. You will not move from these seats."

Waking up to Bender and Andrea, Vernon knocked their feet down as he commanded," And you will not sleep."

Looking pleased with himself, Vernon made his way to the front as he announced," With this essay, you may seem to understand whether or not you care to return."

Andrea watched as the little nerd, Johnson, stood up from his seat and said in a shaky voice," Uh, I can answer that right now, sir. That'd be a no for me. 'cause—"

Vernon snapped out at Johnson, an evil glare set on his face," Sit down, Johnson."

Andrea looked up at Vernon and snarled," Don't be such an ass to the kid, Richie. He's a first timer, cut him some slack."

"Detention. Now my office is right across the hall so any monkey business will be ill advised. Are there any questions?"

Bender spoke up drawing Vernon's attention away from Andrea," Yeah, I got a question. Does Barry Manilow know that you raid his wardrobe?"

Turning an unattractive shade of red, Vernon answered," I'll give you the answer to that question, Mr. Bender, next Saturday. Don't mess with the bull, you'll get the horns."
With that said, Vernon stormed out of the library. Andrea gave a sigh of relief. She really did hate that man. But detention gave her a reason not to go home and she welcomed it gladly.

Bender's voice drew her from her thoughts," That man is a brownie hound."

Giving a small chuckle, Andrea said in agreement," I thought that I was the only one that saw it."

Andrea watched as he leaned back in his seat and turned his head to look at her.

" I haven't seen you around before."

Her head was turned to the side in a thoughtful position as she replied," I'm only seen if I want to be seen."
