"You're having a little girl," the doctor told them.
Steve and Catherine looked at each other. They were having a little girl.
"Are you sure it's only one this time?" Steve asked.
"Yes only one this time," the doctor replied with a smile.
"Is she alright doctor?" Catherine asked.
"She is doing very well. She's growing nice and big and everything looks fine."
"Thank you doctor."
Since this was her 20 week ultrasound the doctor did some more tests on Catherine to make sure everything was going fine. Catherine and the baby were both perfectly healthy. They made a new appointment for 2 weeks from now on their way out.
Catherine looked at the ultrasound picture as Steve drove them to work.
"I can't believe we're having another little girl."
"Yeah me neither. She's gonna be so cute, how can she not, with you as her mother."
"And with you as her father."
When they had to stop in front of the traffic light Steve bent over and gave Catherine's stomach a kiss. The baby reacted to his touch and kicked the spot Steve has just kissed.
"The baby likes you," Catherine told him with a smile.
"That's good."
Steve and Catherine had decided not to tell the others what they were having. For them it would be a surprise until after she was born.
"Morning guys," Kono spoke as Steve and Catherine walked in.
"Morning," Steve and Catherine replied.
"How was the appointment?"
"Good, everything is going fine with the baby."
"That's good."
A minute later Steve's phone rang and they had a new case. Catherine stayed behind at the office.
Once they were at the crime scene Steve took some pictures and sent them to Catherine. Catherine connected her phone to the computer and opened the pictures. Once the pictures were open she started the searches. She hated not being able to go out into the field but she wasn't gonna risk it now that she was pregnant.
She ran the pictures through the DMV but there was no hit. She ran the pictures through every database she could think off but none of them came back with a hit. Maybe Max would have better luck running the DNA or fingerprints.
Steve, Danny, Chin and Kono were busy at the crime scene. They turned the place upside down looking for any clue. When they didn't find anything Chin and Kono went back to the office while Steve and Danny went to pay Max a visit.
"Hey Max, did you find anything?"
"Yes Commander, as a matter of fact I did. The cause of death was in fact the blow to the head. It appears that the blow was delivered by a rather unique object. I don't know what the object is but it did leave a print in the wound," Max explained as he showed an enlarged picture of the wound on the screen. "Whatever made this wound had these initials on it."
Steve took a picture of the wound with his cellphone.
"Any ID on this guy?"
"I ran it through AFIS but no hits. I've ran his DNA but I'll will take a few days."
"Alright, thanks Max."
Steve and Danny left and went back to the office.
"Do you have anything?" Steve asked Catherine as they walked into the office.
"No, not really. I didn't get any hit on the facial reg. How did Max do?"
"No ID either."
"Damn."
At the end of the day they weren't any closer to solving this case. At 11pm Steve decided to call it a day. The others had already gone home an hour earlier.
When he walked into the house everything was dark. Quietly he headed upstairs and went to check on the twins. They were sleeping peacefully in their beds. He walked to his bedroom and found Catherine sound asleep, cuddled up to the pregnancy pillow. Quietly he took his clothes off and joined Catherine in bed. Catherine stirred when Steve wrapped his arm around her.
"It's only me honey," Steve whispered to her. "Go back to sleep."
Catherine relaxed in Steve's arms. Steve had his hand on her stomach and he fell asleep as well.
He loved waking up to her, loved the feeling of her in his arms. It was only 7am but he had to get back to the case. He gave her a soft kiss on her head. He got dressed, grabbed some breakfast and headed to the office.
Catherine woke up about an hour later and noticed that Steve wasn't there. She saw the note lying on her nightstand.
'Already gone to work, will see you there, love you.'
At least he had gotten home last night. She stretched her body before getting out and stepping under the shower. The water felt good on her aching back. Once she was done she went to get the kids up.
"Good morning, my little sweeties," Catherine spoke as she walked in.
Kye was already awake and begging for Catherine to pick him up.
"Hey buddy," Catherine spoke as she picked him up.
Catherine changed him and got him dressed for the day. Once she was done she placed Kye on his play mat and went to get Kailani dressed. Once both babies were dressed she took them downstairs. Just as she was coming down the stairs Lauren walked in. She quickly took Kye out of her hands.
"Good morning Lauren."
"Good morning Cath. Steve already gone for work?"
"Yes, they were working a case yesterday and it wasn't finished yet so he wanted to get an early start."
"That's fine. How are you doing?"
"I'm fine. 20 week ultrasound was fine. The baby is doing very well."
"Only one this time right?"
"Yes only one. But everything is going fine."
"That's good."
Catherine took Kailani into the kitchen and Lauren followed with Kye. They put them in their chairs and Catherine fed Kailani while Lauren fed Kye. Once they were done Catherine left for work.
"How's the case going?" Catherine asked Kono as she walked in.
"We think we've got a good lead now. Steve and Danny are checking in out," Kono explained.
"That's good. Do you need me to do anything?"
Catherine helped Kono with the computer searches. Finally by the end of the afternoon they had a solid suspect. Steve, Danny, Kono and Chin suited up and went to the address.
"Please be careful Steve," Catherine told him before they left.
"I promise Cath, I'll be careful."
"Good."
Steve gave her and her stomach a kiss before they left.
"You know, being a husband and a father has really softened you," Danny told Steve once they were in the car.
"What?!" Steve asked him confused.
"Before you and Catherine were married and had a baby you were never like that. I don't mind. You're actually more human now."
"Shut up Danny," Steve replied a little annoyed.
"I'm just saying Steve. It's nice to see you like this with Catherine. You don't go all ninja Steve on the cases anymore, which frankly I'm happy about."
"I've got Catherine and the kids to think about now."
"Yes and that's good."
After an exchange of bullets the team was finally able to catch the guy. Steve and Danny interrogation the suspect and they got him to confess, they had the right one, the case was closed. They finished up their paperwork before going home.

That weekend Steve and Catherine went baby shopping. They needed some new things from the baby room.
Steve grabbed a cart and they walked through the store. Since they were having a girl they decided to go with pink. They bought a whitewash crib with a closed front and back and bars on the side. They also bought a matrass to go with it and bedding. They bought a pink cover with followers on it and a white cover with pink and blue hearts on it.
From the same collection as the crib they also bought a closet and a changing table. They already had a duo stroller for the twins so they just bought a stroller for the new baby and also a car seat. Once they had all the necessities for the nursery the moved on to some clothes. Catherine loved looking through the baby clothes. Steve remembered how it was when they went shopping for the twins. He had to stop Catherine at some point since she was loading in a lot of clothes. Catherine had looked at the girls' clothes and Steve at the boy's clothes with the twins. Now they were expecting only a girl so he left the clothes shopping to Catherine.
Even though they had some clothes of Kailani that the new baby could wear Catherine wanted some new clothes. Catherine walked back to the Steve and the cart with about 10 new sets of clothes in her hands.
"Isn't that a little much?" Steve asked.
"No, it's not. Remember how Kye and Kailani were when they were just born. Baby spill a lot or it gets dirty when they have a dirty diaper. You can never have enough clothes."
"Alright then."
Catherine had picked out a cute pink onesie, a pink shirt with the text: 'no.1 little sister' with white cotton pants with a bow, a grey shirt with pink flowers and in pink letters: 'sweet girl' with pink cotton pants, a cute grey flower skirt with pink leggings under it and in the same color as the leggings a pink shirt with the text: 'bright sunny summer days', a long blue shirt with flowers and a white legging, a pink dress with a pink top and a flower covered skirt, a pink shirt with black dots and the text: 'I look funny because daddy dressed me' with some butterflies around it with a pair of jeans, a black and white striped shirt with cherries and a white cotton pair of pants, an onesie pajama with dots and the text: 'mom and dad love me' and a cute pair of white Miffy pajamas, the top had a sleeping Miffy cuddled up with a bear and the bottom was Miffy's with stars and moons.
"These are really nice Cath, our little girl will look so cute in them," Steve told her as she rubbed her stomach.
"Yes she would."
A couple hundred dollars lighter they stepped out of the store and loaded everything in Steve's truck except for the furniture, which would be delivered later. They stopped by another store and picked up pink paint for the walls.
Once they were at home Steve carried everything into the house, Catherine wanted to help but Steve told her that wasn't necessary.
"Thank you for watching them Lauren," Catherine told her.
"It's my pleasure, did you get everything you needed?"
"Yes we have it now, just waiting on the furniture, which should be here within a week or 4."
"That's good, I'm really happy for you and Steve."
"Thank you, we are too. We're really happy to have another baby," Catherine replied with a smile.
"Yes we are," Steve added as he walked upstairs with some more baby stuff.
"I'll leave you guys to it and I'll see you Monday."
"Yes, see you Monday."
Lauren left and Catherine went to check on the twins, who were asleep. Catherine quietly opened the door and peeked inside. They were both sleeping peacefully. Catherine quietly closed the door again before walking to the nursery. They had made Steve's old bedroom the twins' room and now Mary's old room would become the nursery for the new baby.
"You've got everything upstairs?" Catherine asked.
"Yes, it's all taken care of honey."
"You know, I could help."
"I appreciate it but I've got it, besides you can't do too much."
"I'll be fine Steve." She hated it when Steve treated her like she was a porcelain doll.
"I want to do this for you honey," Steve replied as he put his arms around her wrist. "Don't worry honey, it's gonna be beautiful and I'll have in done in time, okay."
"Okay. I love you."
"I love you too Cath." Steve gave her a kiss. "Now out," Steve told her playfully. "And you can't see the nursery until I'm done."
"I'll try."
Catherine gave him one more kiss before she walked back downstairs. Steve changed into some old clothes and got started on the walls after he covered the floor with plastic.
When Catherine called him down for dinner he had finished one wall already. Catherine couldn't help but laugh as she saw Steve. He had pink paint in his hair and on his face. Also his pants had dots of pink paint on it.
"What's so funny?" Steve asked her.
"You don't have to paint yourself honey," Catherine answered with a laugh.
"So I spilled a little, no big deal. It'll wash off."
"Daddy diwty," Kye spoke with a smile.
"Yes, daddy is a bit dirty," Catherine told him.
"Daddy bath."
"Yes daddy has to go in bath once he's done."
Steve washed his hands and joined the others at the table. After dinner he took the kids upstairs and put them in bath.
"Daddy bath too," Kailani told him.
"Yes daddy will go in bath later. Daddy is not done yet."
"Daddy bath," Kailani spoke and she poured her little water can empty over Steve's head.
Catherine had just appeared in the door way and she couldn't help but laugh. Steve turned around as he heard her laugh.
"You think that's funny honey?" Steve asked a bit annoyed.
"No," Catherine replied but she couldn't hide her laugh. "It was really cute though."
"Can you help me get the kids out instead of just laughing at me?"
"Sure."
They took the kids out of the tub, dried them off and got them ready for bed. Tonight was Steve's turn to read a book. He sat on the chair with both kids on his lap. Once they book was finished they put the kids in their cribs and kissed them goodnight.
Steve went back to the nursery and Catherine went downstairs. It was a little after 9pm when Steve walked downstairs, freshly showered. He grabbed a beer for him and some juice for Catherine and a bowl of chips and joined Catherine on the couch.
"Hmm thanks Steve, I was just craving those."
"You want the dip too?"
"Yes please."
Steve went back into the kitchen and retrieved the dip. He sat down on the couch behind Catherine and Catherine leaned against his back in between his legs. Steve had his hand on her stomach and smiled when he felt the baby moved under his hand. Steve moved his hand up and started massaging her shoulders.
"Hmm Steve, this feels good," Catherine moaned.
Steve kept massaging her and felt her relax in his arms. After a while he moved his lips down and kissed her neck. He knew Catherine loved it when he kissed that spot, she would turn to jelly in his arms.
"Oh god Steve, yeah right there."
Steve knew what would happen if he kept this up but he didn't mind. Catherine shuffled backwards and she felt how excited he was, she was just as excited. She turned around so she was straddling Steve's lap and she captured his lips in a passionate kiss. Her hands were already working on getting his shirt off. They stopped kissing for a second as Catherine took Steve's shirt off. She let her hands wonder over his muscular chest. She loved the feeling of his chest. Steve got to work on the button of her blouse and he quickly took it off, her bra followed shortly after. Catherine arched her back as she felt Steve's mouth on her breasts. She always loved it when Steve did this but since she had gotten pregnant it had gotten even better. It wouldn't take her long before she would reach her first peek. The sounds that Catherine was making only made his arousal worse, he couldn't wait to be inside of her.
After Catherine had reached her first peek Steve carried her upstairs and put her down on the bed. He quickly took their remaining clothes off and buried himself inside of her.
"I love you Catherine, you're just so perfect."
"I love you too Steve, you're not so bad yourself."
Catherine lay on her back and Steve hovered about her. This wasn't the most comfortable position since Catherine's stomach was in the way. Steve turned her onto her side and got behind her. This position was easier for them both. Catherine had lost count of how many times she had come when Steve placed her on her hands and knees and finished them.
"Wow," Catherine uttered. "It's just so good now that I'm pregnant."
"I know, I can feel that."
"Thank you Steve," Catherine told him as she turned around to face him.
"You're welcome Cath."
Catherine gave him a kiss before she nestled herself in his arms with her pregnant belly resting against his stomach.
They had just fallen asleep when they were woken up by a cry.
"I'll go," Steve told Catherine and he got out of bed.
Catherine half replied something in her sleep. Steve walked to the twins' room and saw that Kye was crying.
"What's the matter buddy?" Steve asked as he picked him up. He noticed the problem immediately. He had a dirty diaper.
Steve took him over to the changing table and put a new diaper on Kye.
"There's that better," Steve spoke as he picked him up again. "It's okay buddy, go back to sleep again."
Steve gave him his pacifier and gently rocked him until he had fallen asleep again. Carefully he placed Kye back into the crib and went back to bed.

Catherine stayed behind at the office while the others went out to catch a suspect. When they arrived at the scene HPD and SWAT were already there.
"What do we have Grover?" Steve asked.
"3 hostiles inside, all considered armed and dangerous."
"Any sign of them so far?"
"When we told them to come out with their hands up they fired at us."
Steve took the megaphone from Duke. "This is Commander McGarrett, Five-0, come out with your hands up."
"You really think that's gonna help?" Danny asked.
Again they shot at them.
"I'm not gonna ask again. Come out with your hands up!"
Again came the shots. Everyone loaded there weapons and fired at the house. Steve moved to get to another position.
"Danny, cover me."
Danny covered him and Steve moved to a different location. He was shooting at them again when something was tossed out of the house.
"Grenade, everybody down!" Steve yelled.
Seconds later there was a big explosion.
