Ch.7

Kaiya groaned as she woke up to gentle nuzzling from Ichigo and Aizen, she turned over and buried her head under the covers as Aizen sighed and Ichigo laughed. Aizen then said "I thought you wanted to enter the Stadium with the others by Dragon back..."

Kaiya shot up and said "What time is it?!"

She looked at her alarm clock and nearly panicked at seeing the time, she leapt out of bed and hurried into the washroom to have a quick shower and brush her teeth. Ichigo then turned to Aizen and said "Should we tell her after that she forgot to set her alarm clock back for the winter last night?"

Aizen chuckled and shook his head in amusement as he then said softly "And miss the show of her rushing to get ready and out the door?"

"True..."

Half an hour later...

Aizen was laughing with Ichigo as Kaiya stomped up ahead of them and said "You two are cruel! That prank was not funny!"

Aizen hurried to catch up to her and began to nuzzle her as Kaiya turned her face away from him, Aizen sighed and nuzzled her again as he said "Kaiya...We only meant it in good fun, not to be rude or spiteful..."

Kaiya sighed and said "I know Sousuke...but this is a very important day for me. The fact that I could have been late could have cost me my match and a Chunin promotion..."

Aizen could see her point and sighed before giving her a tiny lick on the cheek and saying sorry, Kaiya looked at him in surprise as he had never shown her that degree of affection before then blushed lightly before they were joined by Hinata, Haku, Neji, Gaara and Temari. They all grinned at each other then got on the backs of their dragons; Ichigo resumed his hatchling size and curled around Kaiya's neck as she sat on Aizen's back. They all then had their dragons leap into the air and flew to the stadium; they waited until the stands were full then dove into the arena as their dragons roared as one...

Sarutobi hid a smile as the group of preteens landed with their bonded dragons and the whole Stadium went silent in shock at seeing the dragons and their riders. Kaiya then smiled as Aizen returned to his small form and gently climbed her arm to his usual place, the group of dragon riders then headed up into the Competitors' stands while Hinata went and sat next to her father to watch the fights with Unohana on her shoulder. Neji and Kaiya smirked as their dragons flew up to the rail and rested there while they looked down at the fight that was about to start, the referee then brought his hand down and leapt out of the way as the two teens went at it...

20 minutes later

Kaiya smirked as she had Neji on the ropes and quickly dealt the final blow causing Neji to pass out long enough for her to win; she then headed up to the area with the Other Chunin hopefuls to wait for her next fight...

Two hours later...

Kaiya rubbed Aizen's crest of horns gently as he grew more agitated the closer it got to the Supposed Invasion, He cooed at her touch and nuzzled her cheek gently when suddenly feathers fell from the sky and a purple barrier appeared over top the Hokage's box. Kaiya and the other dragon riders quickly got everyone up as they yelled and pushed their Chakra in a pulsating burst, "KAI!"

Kaiya then noticed Orochimaru attacking her adoptive grandfather and hopped on Aizen's back as she told Ichigo to help get any civilians to safety while she and Aizen helped the Hokage, The black dragon nodded and took to the sky as Aizen and Kaiya attacked the barrier with pure magic. Orochimaru then had to dodge as Aizen and Kaiya made just in the nick of time through the hole in the barrier that they had created, Orochimaru growled angrily as he kept on his toes by the three then Sarutobi used the Jutsu to seal Orochimaru's arms while Kaiya was held back by Aizen. Kaiya screamed as Sarutobi fell backwards with a smile on his face and Orochimaru escaped with Kabuto's help, she knelt at the Hokage's side as he fought to hold on and he then said "Kaiya...Your parents would be so proud of you. I wish they could be here to see you..."

"Sarutobi Oji-san?"

"Listen to me, I don't have much time but I'm telling you the names of your parents. It's time you knew...that the Fourth Hokage and Kushina Uzumaki are your parents...Don't let anyone take advantage of you and I want you to grow to be even stronger than your parents..."

Kaiya watched as his chest stopped moving and then began to cry at losing her grandfather figure; Aizen roared his own sorrow as the Invasion came to an end. The Anbu that had been outside the barrier quickly came to Kaiya's side as she stared at the body of her grandfather in disbelief with tears streaming down her face, Aizen refused to let anyone near his bonded while she was so upset then curled around the teen in a comforting manner. Kaiya buried her face into his neck as she tried to get her emotions under control; Aizen then noticed a ROOT Nin heading towards them and snarled at the ROOT Nin as they stopped short of the dragon's teeth...

Three days later...

Kaiya watched as one of her very few loved ones was buried, she sighed sadly as the funeral service ended and stood there for a good ten minutes with Aizen and Ichigo on her shoulders. She sighed then turned halfway then left after saying "Good bye...Oji-san."

Meanwhile...

Shikamaru was going through some of the old scrolls with his dad when the older Nara yelped; Shikamaru then caught the round Stone his Dad had dropped while on the ladder and they stared in shock as it cracked open as soon as Shikamaru touched it. The baby dragon then sneezed and looked around sleepily as his eyes met Shikamaru's, the dragon chirped then bumped his nose against Shikamaru's hand where a dragon marking surrounded the Kanji for Shadow and Coyote appeared. Shikamaru's father blinked in shocked Surprise at the small brown and tan dragon and then suggested "Why don't you go see Kaiya? She's the best person to tell you how to care for your new partner..."

Shikamaru nodded and then hurried out of the compound with the small Dragon in his arms...

Meanwhile with Ino:

Ino was talking to her mother when her father came in with an unreadable look and holding a jewel like "stone", Ino's mother's eyes went wide at the stone and said "Inochi, are you serious? The egg might not even react to her!"

"What Egg?"

They both looked at Ino and her father explained about how his old team had found three eggs and each of them took a single egg home due to a feeling that the eggs would come in handy someday, Ino then got what her father was saying and said "You think the egg is meant for me..."

Inochi nodded and Ino held her hands out as he transferred the egg to her hands, they suddenly heard a loud crack as a pale leaf green dragon hatchling with blondish green mane made its way out of the egg. It chirped up at her as Ino stared then squealed softly as she said "She's so cute!"

She gently hugged the baby dragon while her mother smiled and her dad said "Why don't you go meet up with Kaiya and get some tips on how take care of your new friend."

Ino nodded and then kissed her dad's cheek before hurrying off to see Kaiya...

Meanwhile

Choji was also making his way to Kaiya's after his own dragon egg hatched in his hands to reveal a dark grey dragon with a cream colored mane; he met up with Shikamaru and Ino on the way where they all looked at each other as Shikamaru said "Troublesome...it figures we would all get Dragons..."

Choji just grinned and said "I think it's kinda cool actually."

They soon made to Kaiya's apartment and politely knocked on the door when they heard a sudden crash on the floor and the sounds of muttered cursing, the door then opened and Kaiya made to snap at whoever was at the door but paused and smiled as she noticed the three baby dragons in team ten's arms. She sighed and invited them in while she got some snacks and she would tell them what they were getting into. Shikamaru chuckled as they walked in and saw both of her dragons lounging in the large cleared space behind the couch, Kaiya then told them that if their dragons wanted to explore or talk to her dragons, they were more than welcomed to. The three teammates then placed their hatchlings on the floor and watched as they toddled over to the bigger dragons...

Ikkaru made his way over to the large dragons as he noticed they seemed familiar somehow, He then noticed the face of the black dragon in front of him and let out a squeaky yelp as the black dragon gave a familiar laugh causing Ikkaru's eyes to go wide as he said "Ichigo...Is that you?"

Ichigo nodded and said "Where's your Tag-along or should I say, Lover?"

Ikkaru blushed as he said "I don't know! I just hatched, you ass!"

He heard laughter from the White dragon and looked at the dragon that was slightly larger than Ichigo when the tan dragon with a dark brown mane and the Light leaf green dragon said together "Aizen-sama? Is that you?"

Aizen nodded as he gently greeted Stark and Lilinette then yawned as he lay back down to a playful comment from Ichigo "Lazy ass dragon..."

"It takes one to know one!"

Ichigo snickered then explained with a little help from Aizen what had happened to them, Ikkaru then sighed as he said "So Yumichika either hasn't been found or hatched yet..."

Ichigo gave him a sympathetic look and then told him who else was awake when they heard the loud yelps of shock and disbelief at Kaiya's story about who the dragons really were. Shikamaru then said "That explains why they seem so human..."

Kaiya nodded in amusement as Choji asked "How do we teach them to fly though..."

Kaiya explained that part when she noticed it was getting dark and suggested that they meet her at the Ramen stand and she would then show them the secret training grounds she had found that was perfect for training with their bonded partners...

After team Ten left, Kaiya sighed and said "I have a feeling that things are about to get a little more complicated..."

That night...

Kaiya was sleeping peacefully when she began to glow softly along with Aizen and Ichigo, the glow soon died down and two swords appeared next to her. Kaiya yawned in her sleep and just rolled over, not realizing that she and the other Genin's worlds were about to turn upside down due to the swords appearing...
