With her mouth pressed to his, Caroline instictively arched into Sid. He welcomed her exuberance gladly and wrapped his arms around her. In a split second, he lifted her up and onto the table, his mouth never leaving hers. His hands delved into her hair, as her legs parted automatically. He filled the open space and felt her knees dig into his thighs, cradling him to her. Her hand cupped his jaw, moving his mouth to all the places she wanted. It was nothing but sensations, amplified after being absent for so long. His skin was smooth beneath her touch. His body hard and so present. The fantasies that weakly satisfied the past weeks, did no justice to the real thing. Her senses buzzed, touching and tasting, smelling and seeing. Hearing his moans of appreciation as her hands fisted his shirt and pulled him closer. His own hands left her hair and slid sensuously down her sides. His fingers teased at the hem of her tank top, for a second almost indecisive before forging ahead and finding the supple skin that begged to be touched.
His fingers were cool and welcomed on her heated and feverish skin. Like always, she found it terribly difficult to keep her mind sharp. She found that she didnt even want to try.
As his fingers glided up and down her skin, his thumbs pressed into her belly, drawing circles against her skin and he tore his mouth away from hers, his head burying itself into her neck. This was the mouth, the body, the person he was supposed to be with; the feeling of rightness coursed in his veins. His body hummed in appreciation as it seemed to just melt into hers.
His lips peppered wet kisses against her neck, as she pulled the cap from his head and sunk her fingers into his short hair. Her fingers threaded and kneaded through his thick hair, her fingers luxuriating in the soft hairs. His tongue darted out and laved at her skin. The moisture cooling the skin for only a moment before his lips closed over the spot and sucked gently at the tender skin.
They stayed like that for a short while. Caroline and Sidney, two people who had no business ever meeting one another, two people who lived such completely opposite lives but now fought tooth and nail, thousands of miles apart, just to be together. The challenges and trials of the past year that threatened to destroy them, had only accomplished the opposite.
Caroline pulled Sid closer, tilting her head and baring her neck for easier access. His lips and tongue worked feverishly at her neck, her eyes squeezed shut and her fingers gripped at the soft fabric of the t-shirt that covered his back. She needed to feel him under her fingers, she needed to know that this was indeed real. It was more than she could begin to understand and with the licking and biting, not that she minded at the moment. All that mattered is that she had gotten a second chance and she wouldn't lose this. Not for anything.
He was impossibly hard and the soft sweet skin that burned under his lips did nothing to relieve the pain of the strain that pressed harshly against the fabric of his shorts. It took every ounce of self control not to unzip and take her right there on the spanish tiled kitchen table. It appeared Caroline wouldn't mind, as the sighs and moans of pure contentment filled the quiet of the kitchen. Her fingers dug into his skin as he felt her pull him further into her.
He was willing to go slow, but even he couldnt restrain himself if this went on much longer. His mouth slowed and he let the sensations consume him for a moment, her body made so perfectly for him, he took it all in, before he pulled back.
"Care," his voice so hoarse and twisted fought to form the short syllable. He felt her chest heave, the sigh and moans now gave way to small, short gulps of air. His mouth hovered over the fuchsia and wet skin, her heart beat clearly pulsing against the tender skin. He pressed a light kiss to the skin, tasting her one last time. His head lifted, his mouth now close to her ear.
"If I keep kissing you, I'm not going to be able to go slow." His voice was low and vibrated against her ear. A smile formed as he watched her shudder lightly.
"Me neither," her voice so soft he barely heard it.
"We have to stop." It was more a question than a statement.
She didn't reply at first, then finally gave a slight nod of her head, "yes," she said reluctantly.
He knew she was fighting to bring herself back to earth. Collecting herself, suddenly aware of how close he was. Her heels had dug into the back of his knees, her thighs spread wide and at some point she'd scooted herself so close to the edge of the table, that the heat of her center was only centimeters from the obvious bulge in his shorts. His chest was flush to hers, his hands stilled under her tank top as she unfisted his shirt and took a deep breath. Sid took a step back and felt the air around him help dissipate the desire that was so close to overtaking him. She wanted slow, he would respect that. This part came so easily that it was hard to remember that there was still so much to repair.
Sid took another step back and Caroline looked sheepish, as she closed her legs, pulling down the skirt that bunched around her waist. He watched with veiled amusement as she readjusted her clothing and finger combed her unruly waves that had become tangled from his large and overzealous hands.
He reached out and gently brushed down the tresses, as she smiled shakily, her cheeks bright and her skin damp from the summer heat...among other things.
She watched him and when he was done, he held out his hand. She took it, his fingers closed gently over hers as he helped her off the table. Caroline stood unsteady on solid ground but Sid reluctantly let go. They looked at each other for a few moments, both having trouble believing that all this was quite real.
Finally Sidney cleared his throat, "Er, where is your bathroom?"
Caroline's eyes fell to his crotch and a deeper flush blossomed on her neck, although she had missed the warm feeling she was so prone to in his presence. "Um, down the hall on the left," she mumbled, a feeling of deja vu washing over her. Sid gave an embarrassed grin and headed that way.
Caroline bent down and picked up his cap. Her fingers brushed over the worn bill as she tried to piece her mind back together. When she'd woke this morning, this chain of events was the last scenario she could have ever imagined. He wasn't in Canada or California. He wasn't with lounge girl or Cameron or Lila. He wasn't practicing or training or skating. He was here. With her. And the smile spread wide over her face as the reality began to set in.
"Hey," Sid gave an awkward clearing of his throat. She jumped at the sound of his voice, her trance broken as her fingers still glided over his cap.
Caroline looked up at Sid. He'd managed to get himself back in order, his hair messily arranged, but at least now it wasn't poking up in various directions.
"Hey," Caroline reached out and handed him back the hat, she drew her bottom lip in to keep from smiling too goofily at him. It was hardly the situation for such silliness, but she was giddy with relief and excitement at the life together that lay before them.
"Thanks." Sid replied, his cheeks still flushed and his eyes intense. He put the favorite cap back on his head and adjusted it slightly.
Then he just stood there.
The two of them just stood there, staring at one another awkwardly. Neither sure what to say. Chit chat seemed misplaced and inappropriate for the mood in the room, but the idea of continuing intense relationship conversation seemed exhausting.
The problem was that if someone didn't say something soon, they were going to end up fucking on the kitchen floor in a matter of seconds. The heat between them was palpable.
"Do you want to go get something to eat?" Caroline finally said, at the same time Sid asked, "Can you show me around your place?"
They laughed awkwardly and then both spoke over one another with a "sure." More clumsy tittering ensued as they sidestepped around one another so that Caroline could give a brief tour of the small home.
Sid spent more time than really necessary taking in the photos and trinkets of the home but the mindless distraction was gladly welcomed.
Finally after he'd had the full tour, including a brief peek into her bedroom, where as usual clothes were strewn over furniture and her bed covers laid rumpled and unmade, they ended up back in the kitchen.
There, the conversation came a little bit easier as they discussed dinner options and settled on a plan. Caroline grabbed her bag and they headed out the door, Sid moving to the side and gesturing to let her pass, like they were on some nervous first date.
They walked back into town, Caroline fiddling with the strap on her bag, while Sid shoved his hands into his pockets.
Chatting became easier as they walked, the sun still high and strong over head. Caroline was eager to hear about where he was staying and where he'd be doing his training. She watched him the whole time he spoke, nearly tripping over her own feet a few times. His cheeks pinked at the intent look she gave him as he told her about the facility in Malaga and the opportunity available to him to skate with a few guys from the European league who called the Spanish coast home in the summers. Her eyes widen when he told her about the beach view villa he'd rented that came complete with maid service and a private pool. He'd dropped all his stuff off and gotten settled while he'd waited for Caroline's school day to end. A ball of nervous energy he'd put everything in its place and arranged for a rental car. Everything was nearly perfect. He had the place, he had his schedule and now he had the girl. Productive by nature he couldn't be more happy with how things had progressed.
He was telling the truth when he told her he needed to stop. Mere moments after her body pressed up against his, everything else seemed so trivial. That was the dangerous part though. It was too easy to forget. Too easy to just say the heck with it and take her into that messy bedroom with the unmade bed that was classic Caroline. Now she watched him as they walked, as they talked. She looked in a way he hadn't seen in a very long time. It caused a course of electricity to run up his spine. He would do whatever she needed to get them back on track. Balance them out.
In the short walk they came upon a street filled with shops, restaurants and people. Tourists. Complete with maps and cameras. Fanny packs and perplexed expressions, trying to figure out where exactly they were.
A myriad of languages surrounded them. Conversations in a variety of languages. Some he recognized from the international array of teammates he'd played with over the years. As they weaved through the crowd, his hand instinctively sought hers, to keep her near, to keep her safe. Her fingers weaved into his and she looked up at him with a happy grin.
"It's kind of crazy through here," she spoke loudly.
Sid just nodded, it was an odd feeling; being surrounded by so many people and so few of them even noticing who he was. Another face in the crowd. Sure he heard his name occasionally as they moved down the busy street. But no one approached him. The crowd moved in zig zags and no one had a chance to stop and indulge their suspicions.
Finally they came upon a small building. Bright colors and flags adorned the entrance, a simple sign hung above the door. Bistro sets sat out on a stoned sidewalk. Couples, families, friends sat on the patio enjoying bottomless glasses of wine and endless platters of food. The crowd was raucous, but pleasantly so. Sid and Caroline slipped through the entry way. It was probably for the best they surround themselves with people, he thought. It would have been nice to just the two of them, but part of him realized they needed to ease back into this familiarity. There were glimpses for sure. Already he was feeling like no time had passed. That the past six weeks hadn't really happened, but it had, he kept needing to remind himself.
As they approached the dining area, the atmosphere was a bit more subdued but nonetheless lively. This time Caroline took Sid's hand and led them past the group of people waiting for a table. She led him down a long corridor to a different part of the restaurant. Only it wasn't really part of the restaurant. At the end of the corridor was the entrance to what appeared to be a small deli. A few tables filled the small space, while a large and long deli counter took up almost half the space. Photos of Spain adorned the walls and the smells that radiated from the deli made him nearly weak in the knees, it had been days since he'd eaten a decent meal. There were a few patrons in the small shop. Some looked to be students hunched over their laptops, others were older folks who were engrossed in their newspapers as they noshed on the Mediterranean fare. Caroline pulled Sid over to the deli case and began to investigate the huge array of salads, meats, cheeses and breads.
"I discovered this place when I first arrived," she explained as they pointed out their selections to the man behind the counter. Well, Caroline spoke in steady Spanish, while Sid pointed in his only crude way of communication. "It's much more calm back here and the food is so much better. I usually get take out, but it's quiet, which I thought would be nice."
Sidney just smiled, "It's perfect." And it was.
They feasted on freshly baked bread and butter, hummus and tabouleh, meats and cheeses that melted in Sid's mouth. They split a bottle of red wine, that despite the warmth of late July in southern Spain, hit the spot. Conversation was varied. It started off light then moved to more serious topics. Their eyes stayed steady on one another as they broached the hard to talk about parts. Sid went into detail about the stuff with his dad, while Caroline shared with brutal honesty the tough weeks in Pittsburgh. They made promises to be better, but both knew those promises could only be kept in time. What needed to happen now was rebuilding the foundation. Repairing what had fractured so easily under the weight and expectations of others and the nagging fear Caroline held onto that with one false move it would all be gone.
Rather than roll his eyes and grow irritated at her insecurity, Sid reached across the table, his hands finding hers. "Caroline, I followed you to the other side of the world. You're stuck with me. Im not going to leave and as long as your honest, there is nothing you can do that would ever send me away. Face it, Reid, it's you and me. We're a team, remember?"
Caroline nodded, a look of confidence graced her features. "I know that now. I was afraid I'd let you down. That if you knew everything you'd see I was more trouble that it was worth. I was so stupid. I made so many stupid mistakes." Her voice trembled but she kept her gaze steady on his.
"So did I. It's not like you woke up one day and decided to hurt me. I played a part in all this. I know its not fair. You having to do so many things without me. Normal things, couple stuff. I know you have to give up evenings and weekends throughout the year when I'm out of town or have a game. We don't get to do a lot of normal things. But when we do, that time...it means everything to me. It keeps me sane. You do that for me. You do so much for me. Stuff I didn't even realize until you were gone. It's always going to be compromise. I just want to be worth that compromise."
Caroline swiped at her eyes and looked solemnly at him, "You will always be worth it."
Sid gave a crooked grin, "Even when I'm a total asshole when we lose in the playoffs? Because try as I might, it's gonna happen."
Caroline gave a watery smile. "Especially when you're an asshole."
They were just finishing their dinner when a older woman wearing an dusty black apron and a wide smile approached the table.
"Buenos tarde SeƱorita Carolina! Como estas (Good evening, Miss Caroline! How are you)?"
Caroline smiled at the deli owner, a woman to whom she'd become friendly with over the past weeks. Miss Rosita had seen Caroline at her worst, when she'd sulk into the shop, red eyed and quiet and place her order quickly hoping for a speedy exit. That was not the custom in Spain, especially in such a small and family run shop, so Caroline would often be pulled into conversation. As time progressed and Caroline began to heal, she started to engage the kind woman and the two had started a friendly acquaintanceship.
"Hola Senora Rosita, estoy bien. Todo estaba delicioso. (Hello Mrs. Rosita. I am well. Everything was delicious)" Caroline responded slowly, her Spanish still needing some refining.
The heavyset woman smiled broadly at Sidney. "Bueno, bueno. Quien es este? tu novio? el es tan guapo.(Good, good. Who is this? Your boyfriend? He is very handsome)"
Sid looked to Caroline for clarification and found a bright hue prick her cheeks.
"Este es Sidney. Mi amigo. (This is Sidney. My friend.)
Sid frowned, he didn't need translation for that.
Miss Rosita tutted at the young woman. "Carolina, mi amiga...(Caroline, my friend) She looked skeptically at the pair. "Es muy guapo. Es necesita para hacer lo que tu novio. Vamos nina. Que parece ser un buen chico (He is very handsone. You need to make him your boyfriend. Come on, girl. He seems like such a nice boy)"
Sid watched as the Spanish woman gestured animatedly at him, all the while waggling her eyebrows in his direction.
Caroline looked as if she wanted her chair to swallow up, but smiled politely. "Sidney me visita desde los estados unidos. El es una persona especial." Caroline looked over and gave a small smile. "Una persona muy especial para mi." (Sidney is visiting me from the United States. He is a special person. A very special person to me.)
Sid smiled, he was able to figure that one out. Miss Rosita gave Caroline a knowing look and left them with their bill. "What did she say?" Sid asked eagerly when the woman was out of earshot. Caroline stumbled a bit, then relayed the conversation, the blush unmistakable. Sid grinned and hoped that sooner rather than later novio would be the more appropriate response.
The sun was setting as they walked and Caroline insisted Sid see the sunset over the Mediterranean Sea. They walked to the beaches, the air between them a little more settled. Sid wanted nothing more than to pull her close to him. But even as they chipped away at their iceberg of misunderstandings and miscommunications, things still felt uncertain. Where they stood with one another. What the journey would be like to get back to their normal. So instead Caroline spoke with her hands and Sid continued with securing his in his shorts pockets.
Caroline led him to the beach and with shoes in hand they walked slowly along the shore.
It was breathtaking.
The water so clear, sparkling under the purple and pink hues of the setting sun. After a while they sat, Sid with his legs stretched out in front of him, while Caroline sat a few inches away, her legs criss crossed and she picked up a handful of sand and let it funnel through her fingers. He watched her, as she looked out at the water.
"It's amazing isn't it?" Caroline mused. Sid just watched her, her hair pulled back, accentuating her jaw at she stared pensively out at the disappearing sun.
"Hmmmm?"
She turned back to him, "The world, how big it is, how little we are. How there are billions of us and we spend our whole lives knowing just such a tiny percentage of the world. And yet you can find people. If you just try you can find the most important people."
Sid knew she wasn't just talking about him coming to Spain. It was more than that. It was finding that one person. Your person.
She was his person. She would always be his person.
"You know what the hardest part of the past few weeks was? It was just not being able to tell you things. Just being able to talk to you about my day and the funny stupid things that happened. To tell you that I figured out that song from that movie, or that Geno sent me the most bizarre music video he had a cameo in. That Taylor got a boyfriend or that I got a new blender that is perfect for those banana shakes you love so much. I missed just talking to you. You're my best friend Care. I missed that the most."
Caroline stared at him, her eyes bright. Then she scooted around and next to him. Pressed her side right up to his and leaned her head on his shoulder.
"You're my best friend too, Sid. I missed you so much."
Snuggling up to him they sat still and silent as the colors grew darker and the big ball of fire faded away.
They made plans for the next day as they walked leisurely back to Caroline's house. Sid would come by around 4 o'clock tomorrow and he and Caroline would go to the farmer's market to pick up groceries and necessities for his new home. They would cook at his place, go swimming and enjoy a relaxing evening in.
"So don't forget your swimsuit and maybe some extra towels." Sid said as the pair came upon her doorway.
"Mmhmm," Caroline replied, clearly distracted. She'd grown more and more fidgety as they came closer to home.
"Ok, well." Sidney felt the unfamiliar anxiety begin to flutter.
Caroline looked nervously up at him, her arms waving slightly, as if suddenly she didn't know what they were or how they worked.
"I'm glad this worked out." He cringed at how lame that sounded. "I, I mean. I'm...it means...this, you and me. I just..." He couldn't believe how ineloquent he suddenly had become.
Caroline looked nearly as uncomfortable, bouncing from foot to foot with what clearly appeared to be nervous energy.
Suddenly his gaze found hers and he held it. "I was afraid you were gone forever. I'm so grateful for this. Our second chance."
Caroline's eyes softened on his and she looked like she was searching for a response. Finally she mumbled, "Me too."
"Good night, Care." Sid said softly, he ducked his head and brushed his lips gently across her warm cheek.
She stared at him with wide eyes, strangely quiet. "Good night Sid."
He lingered for a bit, rocking back on his heels and stuffing his hands back down deep into his pockets.
Finally he gave a nod and turned walking down the path towards the long stone road that led him down from the hills and to the shore.
"I love you," she called when he reached the end of her path. Sid turned and could only make out her shadow, cast aglow from the light of the open door behind her.
"I love you too." He called back, the smile clear in his voice.
He turned back to continue on his way, but the rhythm of feet on pavement stopped him.
Just when he turned to see what the noise was, he was met with a sudden rush of Caroline bounding into him. He didn't have time to think before her mouth found his and she clutched desperately at his shoulders.
His arms wrapped around her and pulled her close. For lack of a better word, she attacked his mouth with fervor. He matched her fervor and opened his mouth gladly to welcome her searching tongue. She kissed him like he like her life depended on it and she pressed herself so tightly to him, he nearly lost his balance.
He held her. Matching her kiss for kiss, his hands firm on her cheeks, cradling her to him. Giving her what she so clearly needed.
But in his mind one word echoed: slow. She wanted to do this slowly. And he had to respect that. Even if her actions were saying otherwise.
With the self control of a thousand saints, he pulled away and gulped at the still warm and humid summer air.
"Caroline, wait."
She wasn't listening. With his mouth gone, she moved onto his cheeks and his jaw and down to his neck. Her kisses fast and wanton.
"I thought you wanted to go slow," was all he could manage as he tried to stay focused. An impossible feat as Caroline nipped boldly at the sensitive sloped skin on the underside of his sharp jaw.
"I thought I did. I was wrong." she breathed and then found his mouth and resumed kissing him with abandon.
A muffled "are you sure?" came from his lips, although it was difficult to understand with her mouth pressed so solidly to his.
Caroline pulled back and drew in a deep breath, "I don't want to spend another minute without you. I thought I wanted slow, but all I want is you. Now. All the time. Forever." Her words were bold and carried a lot of weight. His mind was a sea of thoughts, but one thing was for certain. He wasn't going to turn her down. Not now, not ever.
And with that he crushed his mouth to hers and pulled her in tightly.
Eventually they found themselves tumbling through her front door and with a slick move he maneuvered her up against the wall, his body coating hers, surrounding her. Caroline with her back flat against the wall and Sid pressed against her, every inch of his solid body like a steel wall trapping her in.
She loved it.
Pulling him back down to her mouth they explored each other vigiourously. Reacquainting themselves with one another. Relearning all the sweet spots. The places that elicited the most desirable responses. Not that it was that hard. Their bodies to one another were like riding a bike. You don't forget. It wasn't long before they both remembered and the heat in the air was rising with each kiss and caress.
Caroline's arms linked around his neck, holding him secure, as Sid braced his arms on the wall behind her. His pelvis pressed firmly against her center, his arousal unmistakable. He was hard. Harder than he could remember being in the recent past. The delicious pain could only be relieved with rubbing himself unabashedly against her.
And so he did. With his tongue deep in her mouth, battling hers in the most gentle of wars, he rutted clumsily against her. He was too all over the place to find some sort of rhythm that could be pleasurable for the both of him. Sid pulled one hand away from the wall and grabbed at her hip, his hand gathering up the fabric of her skirt under his palm met the fabric of her panties. With an easy pull he brought her hips down and her pelvis up as he brought her closer to him, her legs having no choice but to separate and cradle his gyrating hips. He held onto her possessively. His large hand spanning the from one cheek of her bottom to the top of her thigh. He squeezed her flesh tenderly and continued to explore the crevices of her mouth. She tasted so sweet. And he nearly wept in relieve that she was real beneath him. That this wasn't all a dream.
Tearing his mouth from hers, Sid buried his head into Caroline's neck, breathing in her sweet scent, his tongue lapping lightly at the her skin and he moans and sounds of encouragement filled the quiet space.
"I won't be able to stop." he muttered, as if that was even an option.
"I don't want you to." she breathed, pulling him up to her. With her hands on his cheeks, she stared into his eyes. Her pupils dilated with desire.
"I want you to fuck me." Her voice serious, but a small smile on her face.
And suddenly he was transported to that hallway. All those months ago. There would be time to do this slow and steady. There would be time to make love, revisit every inch of each other's bodies, but right now, he needed her in the most basic way possible. They needed each other.
He answered her with a searing kiss and he hands went quickly to work. His palms ran up the length of her shirt, pulling the fabric up. And in one quick move the shirt was up and over her head, a light peach bra staring back at him. Her pinked skin flushed fuchsia. His hands ran over her stomach and around her sides. Up her ribs until his thumbs brushed up against her nipples. He stared at her heaving chest and deftly unclasped her bra. Pulling the bra away he took in her naked chest and suddenly felt fourteen. Staring at her pert breasts with their rosy nipples that begged for touch. He rubbed his thumbs against the growing nubs, he ducked his head and took one in his mouth. Instantly Caroline mewed in delight and arched her back into his hot and eager mouth. He feasted on the flesh, his tongue swirling, his mouth suckling. Sid's hand trailed down her side and dove under the fabric of her skirt. His questing fingers moved past the hot and wet fabric of her panties and probed gently between her folds. Caroline spread her legs slightly accommodating him. Exploring the wet heat, he pushed up and into her. Pushing her further up against the wall, he moved his fingers in and out of her, his mouth teasing the pebbled skin. As for Caroline, all she could do was hold him to her, her eyes screwed up tight as the feeling of fullness overtook her. She'd missed his fingers, but she missed something more.
"Sidney." she choked out. His fingers continued to move relentlessly, curling inward to reach that spot that made her see stars.
"Sid." she could barely get out the syllable.
"Inside me. I need you inside me."
He released her breast with a light pop. His lips full and red, he peppered kisses all around her chest, settling his mouth finally in the hollow between her breasts, his fingers never stopping.
"I need you inside me. Now." She repeated, she was barely hanging on as it was.
There would be a time for more foreplay. For talking dirty. For telling one another all the deliciously naughty things they wanted to do to one another. But she was right.
He withdrew his fingers and with his gaze steady on hers, put his fingers into his mouth, boldly tasting her.
Caroline looked like her eyes would pop out of their sockets, but instead her hands moved to his waist and she pulled his t-shirt up and over his head. For times sake they removed the rest of their clothes themselves and with one easy and quick surge they came together. Against the wall that separated the kitchen and living room, two became one, as Sid guided himself up and inside, their bodies knowing exactly what to do next. With her arms wrapped around his shoulders, Caroline pulled Sid tight, her legs wrapping around his waist as he began to thrust into her.
She felt like heaven. Hot and slick. Her body fitting his so perfectly. Enveloping him easily, no matter what time had past. Their bodies once again so relieved that the rest of them had caught up and made up and could be one again.
Caroline met Sid thrust for thrust and soon they found a steady rhythm. He held her waist as his mouth plundered hers, the steady movements of their kisses matching the pace of their snapping hips.
Caroline was nearly delirious at the feeling of fullness. Both physically and emotionally. She couldn't stop the tears from coming. Tears of happiness, of relief, of pure and utter contentment.
They moved fast and hard against one another and soon they felt their crest build. Sid's rhythm began to break and she knew he was close. He angled his hips against hers, so that his pubic bone pressed hard against that bundle of nerves that was pulsating. Burying his head in her neck, he pressed short but sweet kisses to the skin and just as the stars filled her vision, he too found his completion, the stream of liquid heat filling her up and sending her over the edge.
Neither moved for a short while. Wrapped up in one another. Sweaty bodies pressed up against one another. Heartbeats moving in such sync they beat as one. Her fingers ran soothingly through his hair, as his hands swept up and down her back in the way he knew she liked.
And before Caroline could catch her breath, Sid pulled back and grinned widely. In one quick motion, he swept her up and into her arms. Caroline squealed in happy surprise as he carried her to that unmade bed, so they could do it all over again.
They had a lot of time to make up for.
***Author's note: Back on track. First of all I am really sorry about the constant inconsistency of the chapters. I know this is beyond overdue, but all I ask is that you try to understand that this story is of utmost importance to me and I am dedicated to getting chapters out to you as quickly as possible. As you may know my life completely changed in the middle of writing this story and the time I have to dedicate to this story has drastically been cut. I am more in love with these characters and writing their story as ever, but life is just different now. A good different but different. It is important to me that I get these chapters just right and lately it has been taking weeks for me to picture the perfect chain of events that create a chapter I can be happy with. So again thanks for your patience and your reviews, they mean so much to me!***
***Author's note 2: So the spanish dialogue is straight out of google translator, so if there are any spanish speakers reading this story, please accept my apologies for such a pathetic attempt at Spanish.***
***Author's note 3: It's my birthday today, so if that isn't dedication, I don't know what is (so review please!). I am so thrilled that for my birthday, my brother and I have 2nd row glass seats to the Penguins/Blackhawks game next Sunday. It will be my third game, my first was the game after Sid got hit in the jaw last year, so lets just say I am on pins and needles that he stays healthy this week!***
