The summer sun filtered in through the gauzy curtains and cast unwelcome beams of light into the room and directly onto the rumpled bedsheets and the bed's occupant.

Caroline groaned and turned over, trying to block the brightness. Today would be a beautiful day, she didn't doubt that, they were all beautiful here. But today...well today, she just needed a little more sleep.

Burrowing under the covers, she stretched fully, her arms coming up and over her head and her toes pointed out and bumped against the footboard of the bed.

If it weren't for the fact that she felt deliciously sore all over, she would have thought it had all been a dream. The best kind of dream, where everything she wanted had happened. Every wish had come true. Everything she thought gone forever, back again.

She reached her arm across the bed, her body seeking confirmation, but all she found were cool blankets.

Caroline frowned. It had been real, right?

Sitting up, she looked around the vacant room, there were no signs of his clothes or presence, but as she looked down at herself, still completely naked there was no sign of clothes for her either.

Brushing her tangled hair back and off her face, her expression grew fixed in a mix of confusion and disappointment. Had he left? The memories of last night were flooding her mind, so she knew it had been real. Sid. He was here. He'd carried her last night into this bedroom. He'd laid her down with such care and smiled widely and ferally at her as he crawled up the length of her, his body cloaking hers in the perfect balance of comfort and anticipation. He'd kissed her so perfectly, so expertly that her toes had literally curled. He'd been the one that insisted they move painfully slow. Reaquainting one another with all the places they knew made the other breathless and addle brained. He'd been the one who'd been silent, his mouth and hands doing all the talking. His eyes so intense on hers, that she found it difficult to swallow. His intensity on the ice, no competition to the intensity at which he looked at her. She held his gaze. Words wouldn't come, but she hoped just holding his eyes with hers would be enough for him. That she would be enough for him. Eventually the gaze softened and a smile curled back upon his lips and he'd continue his exploration. She wouldn't lie, it rattled her a bit. Not in a bad way. Just made her realize how important this all was. How much this was all worth and how they wouldn't go back.

Not now.

Not when they knew.

Both of them knew what heartbreak was.

Pure and utter heartache.

Then he pushed into her and he was inside. All of him. Inside her.

And she knew.

He could break as easily as she could.

And he had.

He moved in and out, slowly, his smile smaller now. She matched the smile, her hands curling around his. Her lips brushing against his as he rocked against her, into her.

Soon the pressure became too much and the rush came fast and hard and coursed through them.

He kissed her on the forehead, lightly, sweetly. Then moved to the side, pulled her in and wrapped himself around her. His arms holding her tighter than she ever remembered before.

But now, in the solitary of her temporary bedroom, she wondered if she'd imagined the whole thing. The alternative was, he had gone. Practice or training or whatever it was exactly that he was doing, must have started early, she assumed. For her, she'd been enjoying the European philosophy on learning. Sure the students had summer school, but their school day began at 10 and ended at 3. Caroline had enjoyed the lazy mornings and the short work day, especially since there were no classes on Fridays. Friday was usually used as a travel day for the excursions to the cities and sights around the country, weekends spent exploring the rich historic and culture of Spain. Something she was excited to share with Sid...provided he didn't have a packed schedule on the weekends.

Heaving a big sigh, she shifted on the bed and found herself to be a bit squishy between her legs. There was her proof that it had been real. Her limbs were sore, both from abundant exercise and fatigue. Throughout the night they'd woken finding each other. Sometimes quick, sometimes slow, they'd fall into one another and make up for their lost time.

Caroline's hand wandered down to between her legs and felt the sore and sensitive flesh still soaked. Lightly she touched herself, her eyes drifting shut, she stroked the skin not to turn herself on necessarily but to remember, relive, every detail.

"Don't tell me you're starting without me," a teasing voice filled the room.

Caroline's eyes flew open and her hand pulled away as if she'd been burned.

Drawing the covers up to her waist, Caroline sat up and stared at Sid. He filled the doorframe, two coffee cups balanced in one hand and two plates and a bowl in the other. He wore a sly smile and nothing else. Just a few moments of observing her had already stirred his lower regions and Caroline felt her eyes drifting down towards the semi erection that was still growing.

Quickly she looked back up at his amused face.

I thought you left," she said a stain of pink covering her face, suddenly shy that he'd seen her in such an intimate act.

The smile dropped as a frown formed and furrowed Sid's brow, "Left? Why would I leave?"

Caroline felt badly. She didn't want him to know that she'd assumed he'd gone. She'd been so stupid to think he'd just leave without saying anything. Not after everything that had happened. She'd just assumed he'd have an early morning getting started. It was something she was going to have to work on. Not automatically assuming that she fell down to the bottom of the priorities list. She was the most important thing in his life. He'd told her that, now it was time for her to believe it.

Caroline opened her mouth, the apology already poised on her tongue, but Sid's frown disappeared and the smile returned.

He cocked his head at her, his eyes crinkling as he studied her.

"You goose, I just went to make us breakfast." He lifted his arms gingerly to show off his haul. A wide grin grew across his face, he knew her hang ups, no matter how much they both tried to be different, there were instincts. But he was too happy to indulge those instincts. That was the whole purpose of this trip of this time together, to change that mindset, to create new habits and to grow together.

Caroline smiled back, scooting over and patted the space next to her. He didn't seem fazed by her stupid assumption and now that she was seeing him with his sleepy eyes and cowlicked hair and naked body...she wouldn't analyze it any further. Every minute, every second, she wouldn't take it for granted and she certainly wouldn't waste it overthinking.

He gladly maneuvered toward her, handing off some of the dishes so that he could settle himself in bed. Leaning towards her he pecked her mouth.

"Good morning," he said, his voice dropping an octave.

Caroline smiled and ran her fingers through the section of hair at the back of his head that stood at attention.

"Morning," she breathed and pressed her lips to his for her second kiss of the morning.

"What did you make?" Caroline asked lightly as she drew her mouth reluctantly from his.

"What did I interrupt?" Sid asked playfully, setting the dishes on the blankets between them and ignoring her question.

The blush returned but Caroline met his gaze.

"I was just remembering last night," she replied honestly.

Sid raised an eyebrow, "Oh yeah?"

Caroline nodded, "Yeah, just replaying the highlights." Now it was her turn to grin.

Sid raised the other eyebrow, "Highlights, huh?"

Caroline nodded, "Yep, remembering all my favorite parts."

Sid's eyes darkened and he swallowed thickly, "Really? Like what parts?"

Caroline's eyes danced and she tapped her index finger to her lower lip as if to be deep in thought. "Well, there was that part when you...no, more like when we...eh, actually the best was when I..." she trailed off her voice playful. She enjoyed taking in his wide eyes and expectant face.

But instead of continuing, she looked down at the plates, "Oooh eggs!" she exclaimed happily, taking some pleasure it watching him come undone and getting back to the teasing that she'd so dearly missed.

"Fuck the eggs," Sid growled and before Caroline knew it, the plates scattered and she found herself on top of him, his hands pulling her up and over on top of him. His grasp firm on her waist, holding her across his hips, as her center splayed open and made direct contact with his firm and ready erection.

He grinned up at her, his hardness nestled against the tender flesh she'd just been caught touching. "I want to hear your favorite parts."

She looked down at him, her hands covering his. She grew serious and looked at him intently. "I changed my mind," she said simply.

For a moment, a flash of panic rushed through Sid and the wide and cocky grin faltered.

Caroline sensed the unease and clarified instantly, "No, I mean. My favorite part changed...its you." Her body was exposed on complete display, but his eyes didn't leave her gaze, that had suddenly become so focused. She smiled shyly. "Right now, this is my favorite part."

It was hard to swallow again he thought...only for a different reason. Emotion coated his throat and he did the only thing he could think to do, the only thing he wanted to do, he leaned up and kissed her.

Eventually they made it out of bed and details were sorted out. Sid tentatively mapped out a training schedule based on Caroline's school schedule and the rink's availability. 11-1 Monday through Thursday he would skate up in Malaga. He'd stay after on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons to spend some time in the weight room

He'd stay on shape the rest of the time swimming, playing tennis with Caroline and of course with lots and lots of sex. He'd loved watching her face when he mentioned that last part.

Then it was time for her to go and him too. They lingered in the doorway, slow to part. Their hands hung at their sides, then brushed up against one another, their fingers intertwining playfully. Light kisses and a happy see you later instead of goodbye and they were off.

The rink in Malaga, was home to the European team, but in the summer guys from all over the world came to the coastal city to train. The facility was nothing like the Consol, or even Southpointe for that matter. It was beyond basic. But it had ice and a net, so Sid would make it work. The language barrier was a challenge and the other guys were pretty starstruck for at least 3/4 of the practice, but towards the end, they seemed to treat him like any other guy on the ice. He chatted amicably with a few English speakers and explained to them that his girlfriend was working in a neighboring town and that he'd be here for the next four weeks. Caroline's work swap would end the second week in August and then what would happen next was still TBA. It was one of those logistical conversations Sid was not ready to tackle. At least for a few days. Right now it was about being with Caroline.

He was back in town by 3:30. Just enough time park the car he'd rented for his stay, run inside the rental to make sure everything was picked up and tidy (which of course was) and then set out to walk to Caroline's temporary house to pick her up. It was less than a mile away and although she'd insisted she could find the place on her own, he'd insisted harder that he'd come by to get her. There was something about picking her up that made it seem more formal, more important, more special. He was excited about the evening with Caroline. Last night had been amazing. Only seconds after she fell into his arms, it was like no time had passed. Every thing came back quickly and easily. Reacquainting himself with every part of her, like he could forget. He felt like now his life could move. That with her every piece fell back into place. The future he'd envisioned all those months ago had hit a few rough patches and gone off course but determination, love and a little luck had brought them back together. It wasn't the pure innocent puppy love that he'd felt within weeks of knowing her, it was different now. Deeper. Everything held so much more weight. Now their love was weathered and strong. A buoy in the sea. Storms had come and gone. It had been tested, bobbing precariously, sometimes falling under the surface for a little longer than it should, but it always found the surface. Refusing to fall, to sink.

That was them.

The storms had been strong and tested their greatest insecurities, but in the end, they wouldn't sink. They wouldn't fall beneath the surface. They would float on.

He walked up the stone path to her door, the sun shining on his back, the air cool on his skin. He knocked lightly and bobbed back and forth on his heels, a moment later she opened the door and greeted him with a smile.

And he knew. In that smile he knew that their journey to one another hadn't ended.

It had just begun.

Six weeks later

Caroline squirmed in her seat, her neck craning out the small window of the airplane that was just beginning it's descent into Halifax, Nova Scotia.

They'd been back from Spain for two weeks. It had taken a solid week for life to feel normal again. Getting her sleep pattern back on track, unpacking and catching up with friends and family. Sid had spent the week with her, doing the same. He hadn't bothered going to his house or condo. For four weeks, they'd been inseparable, he'd insisted he wasn't quite ready to leave her side. Not that Caroline would complain. Spain had been unbelievable. A dream. She was a bit anxious returning to the states, where life got a lot more complicated. In Spain, their days had been filled with walks on the beach, dinners at quaint restaurants. Hikes in the mountains, rousing games of Scrabble and Trivial Pursuit and as he'd promised, lots and lots of sex. They'd gone on trips all around the country, met wonderful people and grown leaps and bounds as a couple. Spending that much time together, made them realize just how much they liked each other. Not just love. In those four weeks, she laughed more than she'd cried in the past year (and that was a lot). Of course there was the occasion argument, usually trying to figure out where to go for dinner or when Caroline had cheated during a particularly intense game of Scrabble. He'd get testy, she'd get sassy, he'd get haughty and she'd call him out on it. Then within the hour he'd have her pinned up against the wall and a passionate round of makeup sex would commence.

There were long, tender nights where they'd opened themselves up to one another like never before. There was something about being so far from home that helped them expose themselves in a way they may have been scared to before. Fears, hopes, insecurities, dreams; not the surface stuff you tell someone you first start dating, like wanting to open a restaurant one day or being afraid of spiders. No the real stuff, the fears your mind wanders to in the middle of a sleepless night or the silly dream that you never tell anyone for fear they will just laugh at you or worse, not understand at all. The stuff you only tell someone you fully and unequivocally trust. They talked about life and the future. They still skirted around the M word, but it was certain the life and future they talked about would be together.

But a week after being back in Pittsburgh, Sid had to go. A trip to Toronto to film a commercial and meet with the Team Canada coaching staff was unavoidable, but they made plans for her to join him in the great white north, specifically Cole Harbour, a week later. She'd meet his extended family and some of his childhood friends. See where he grew up and where he lived in the off season. It was an important piece to their puzzle, and she was a little anxious.

"Is this your first time to Halifax dear?" asked the white haired woman with the friendly face sitting next to Caroline.

Caroline smiled nervously, "Yes. I'm meeting up with my boyfriend. He's from there. Well, just outside of Halifax."

The woman smiled, "What part?"

Without thinking, Caroline blurted, "Cole Harbour."

The woman's face lit up, "Oh that's where I'm from too. I was just visiting my daughter and her family in Providence. Cole Harbour is a wonderful town, what's your boyfriend's name? I'm sure I know his family."

Caroline squirmed in her seat. She and her big mouth.

"Oh, I'm sure you don't, he has a small family." Caroline lied.

"Psst," the woman tsked. "Everyone knows everyone in that town. It's a bit famous, you know. My little town. Do you watch hockey? Sidney Crosby is from there. He's a professional hockey player." The woman was so proud sharing her fun fact that Caroline just nodded and smiled.

"I have heard of him. That's amazing. I bet it's a great place."

Luckily the impact of the wheels hitting the asphalt ended the conversation abruptly as the two woman braced themselves as the plane skidded to a stop.

Caroline texted Sid that she'd landed and he'd replied promptly that he was in the cellphone lot and would make his way to baggage claim.

Caroline had the first flight out of Pittsburgh, leaving at 5:45 AM. A short layover in Boston and the time change had her landing here in Halifax just before noon. The airport wasn't terribly busy despite it being the lunch hour. It was a smallish airport and the walk to baggage claim didn't take long. She couldn't help but notice the gift shops along the way were filled with the number 87. Also there were large posters of him everywhere, as if he was the dictator of the airport, his image looming everywhere.

She took it all in. The sights and sounds. The people. All of it.

Caroline hadn't seen Sid in eight days, but it felt like eight years, especially since they'd not spent a single day apart for five weeks. So she walked a little bit faster when she saw the sign for baggage claim.

It wasn't long before she reached the bottom of the escalator and found herself on the ground level and among the other passengers of her flight. She scanned the area looking for his familiar face and nearly missed him. He was off in a corner, hat and sunglasses perched on his head, his hands shoved in his jeans pockets. Luckily no one seemed to notice him, at least not in his light disguise.

Caroline was sure she could have been a bit more discreet, but she was so excited to see him, that she beelined away from her group and walked briskly towards him, a broad smile on her face. He met her halfway and also seemed not to mind causing a scene as he swept her up in his arms and she squealed in delight.

She hugged him tightly, breathing in his familiar scent. His arms were strong and sure around her as they enjoyed their small reunion.

A few moments later they parted, Sid dropped his lips down to hers and gave Caroline a light kiss.

"Hi," his voice was deep and throaty.

"Hi." She mimicked.

He took her carry on and studied her. "You had a good flight?"

Caroline nodded, "Yep, no problems."

He looked relieved and strangely nervous.

"Ok good. You have a bag coming through?" He jerked his head to the baggage claim behind her.

Caroline nodded, then wondered how this would work. She didn't really think it would be a good idea for him to come over and wait with her, not when his picture was plastered all over and she'd now seen about four different people in Crosby t-shirts.

"I can go get it." She said quickly. "You get the car and I'll meet you outside.

A moment of relief washed over his face, but then vanished. He shook his head. "No, I'll wait with you...maybe we just wait over here until they start coming out."

"Are you sure?" she asked, not wanting a scene to unfold when these people found out who was here.

He grinned, his old self back again. "For sure. It will be fine."

It wasn't exactly fine. But it wasn't a total disaster either. As soon as the belt started moving and the pair moved towards the revolving bags, the travelers took notice of Sid and approached him immediately. They were all very nice and friendly, talking to him like he was an old friend, but it did take a short while for them to get out of there. Caroline shrank when her seat mate saw her standing there, her hand being held securely by Sid. Caroline just gave an embarrassed smile, while the older woman just looked flabbergasted.

After about 40 minutes, Sid and Caroline were out of the airport and headed towards the car. Sid talked a mile a minute telling her about what he had planned, how nice the weather was for August, was she hungry, did she want to drive around a bit or go home first and freshen up?

It was funny to see him like this. Sid was almost always composed and while he enjoyed things, she rarely saw him giddy like this...well when it wasn't related to hockey that is.

She confessed she was pretty hungry, so Sid steered his Tahoe towards Cole Harbour and to his favorite restaurant growing up. He pointed out landmarks and points of interest all along the drive, Caroline could barely keep up. He flushed pink when they came upon Cole Harbour and Caroline saw the town sign that read, Home of Sidney Crosby. He protested when she insist that they pull over so she could take a picture, but relented when she flashed him her no fail pleading look. He rolled his eyes while she posed in front of the sign and pointed proudly at the tagline, but he took the picture.

She had a thousand questions and he ended up taking the long way to the restaurant so that he could show her all the spots that comprised of his childhood.

He also filled her in on the events of her stay. She'd be in town for ten days, before she had to go back to school. Sid would spend a few more days in Canada attending the Winter Games orientation, then travel back early to Pittsburgh. Being away from one another wasn't an option. Not when they could figure out some compromises.

For today, they would go to lunch, then to his house for her to get settled, take a nap, well, maybe fool around then take a nap. He'd show her around his mini compound and then they'd meet all his family and friends for a cookout at his aunt's house. There Caroline would meet his grandmothers, aunts, uncles, cousins, family friends. The whole group. Caroline could tell he was especially nervous when he told her that part. She knew it was a big step, meeting all the family, but she was surprised it had such an effect on his usually confident demeanor.

Lunch was pretty similar to the airport. Basically the entire hour there was spent with Sid chatting with the locals, taking photos and signing autographs. As usual he was incredibly gracious, the difference this time was that everyone wanted to know who she was as well. Sid grinned broadly as he introduced her as his girlfriend from Pittsburgh and wouldn't you know it, every acted like they were her best friend too. It would have been annoying except for the fact that everyone was just so nice. The were genuine and sincere when they asked her what she did for a living and what did she think of Canada? They raved about Sid, some of the older folks sharing funny stories of when he was a kid and came into the diner after practice and made the restaurant rethink their all you can eat pancake special. Caroline took great pleasure in watching Sid's face flush from the stories. Once the commotion died down, they dined on the house specialty lobster roll and Caroline nearly swooned at how delicious it was. With a farewell to the diner and their bellies full, Sid put the car in drive as they journeyed 30 minutes inland towards Grand Lake.

If she thought the Sewickley house was impressive, the Grand Lake house made it seem like a shack. Punching in the code to the gated community, Sid steered the Tahoe down a long gravel road that was surrounded by dense forest. After a few miles a clearing appear and the Caroline's mouth literally dropped open at the sight in front of her.

It was the most beautiful place she'd ever seen. If there was a heaven, this had to be it's entry way. A large white and stone two story house with two rounded towers filled her view. Surrounding the home were bursts of color. From the mahogany of the mulch, to the scatter of pink, yellow and white flowers lining the entrace, the place was a rainbow. And everthing was just so green. Not far off to the side was a smaller building, then a long wooden dock that led out to a large mass of water that rippled calmly under the bright shine of the sun overhead. It was almost too much to take in. Caroline just stared in awe. Sid had a lot of money. She knew that. He had the ability to have anything he wanted. She'd seen his life in Pittsburgh to know that he lived a life of ironic modest luxury. But this. This was incredible and Caroline would have felt intimidated if she wasn't completely and utterly excited to spend the next week and a half here. Truth be told, from what she'd seen so far, she didn't want to ever leave.

Sid worked hard for his money. Thousands of hours spent competing, training, living a life of staunch discipline. He wouldn't say he didn't care about the money, he did to an extent. He was more grateful that he could afford to live a comfortable lifestyle doing something that he loved. But having said all that. Seeing Caroline's face as his dream home came into view and knowing by the expression on her face that it was probably her dream home too, well he was proud to show this off.

He put the car in park and Caroline silently unbuckled her seatbelt and got out of the car, almost in a daze.

Sid couldnt hide the grin. "So what do you think?"

She whipped her head towards him, her eyes wide, "Sid, it's beautiful. It's so so beautiful," she breathed.

He grinned and jogged around to her side of the car. Grabbing her hand he pulled her towards the stoned walkway, "Here, let me show you around."

He first led her through the house. It was bright, sunlight coming in at every directions. The walls were painted light colors and complimented the rich chocolate colored furniture. Black and white photos in large frames adorned the walls, along with brightly colored artwork that looked to be landscapes of the area. There were a few traces of hockey here and there, but not much. He led her through the large kitchen and the other rooms of the first floor. He then led her down to the basement that was the ultimate man cave. A small theater style seating and screen in one corner, a pool table in the other. There was a replica of his hockey stall and sliding doors that led out to a large patio that then led out to a stone lined pool complete with a diving board. Caroline felt like she'd walked into an episode of Cribs. Sid grinned, "I'll show the upstairs last."

Caroline flushed and returned the grin.

They went outside to get a closer look at the pool and the grounds. He had a small paved hockey rink along with a smaller building that held all his gym equipment. He spoke animatedly about how he'd selected all the stone and customized the sports area and Caroline easily picked up that he was proud of this. Proud of his home. His real home.

They made their way back to the car to gather her things, Sid lugged in the bags and dropped them in the entry way.

"Do you want something to drink?"

Caroline just shook her head and launched herself into his arms. The chaste kisses at the airport had not sufficed and she would say shamelessly that this place had really turned her on.

Sid accepted an armful of Caroline gladly and wrapped his arms around her. Her hands held his jaw lightly as she pressed her mouth to his. Her body pressing firmly into his. She pecked his mouth lovingly as he held her hips tightly, then opened her mouth and poked her tongue out, seeking out the seam of his lips. Gladly he parted his full lips and welcomed her tongue in his mouth, his own tongue giving her a enthusiastic greeting. Their mouths explored one another slowly and lovingly as Caroline's arms twined around his neck, her hands resting on the back of his neck, her fingers brushing through his dark hair. Sid's hands wandered down her hips and grasped her ass boldly. She'd worn a pair of kelly green shorts and a gauzy yellow, blue and white striped top for the trip and the splay of his hands was so big, he could reach under the edge of the shorts with the tips of his fingers, the warm and soft flesh bringing him to full erection.

Pressing herself further into him, he felt her hips move rhythmically against the bulge in his jeans, and he knew it was time to get upstairs.

"I think it's time you showed me the upstairs now," she breathed, reluctantly pulling her mouth from his.

"I think that's an excellent idea," his said hoarsely, his Adam's apple bobbing erratically against the soft skin of his neck. He dropped a few kisses onto her neck and nuzzled the sweet soft skin for just a few moments as he tried to collect himself. Then he pulled back, grabbed her hand and took off for the stairs, taking two at a time, Caroline shrieking happily behind him.

***Author's note: Thank you for your continued patience with me and this story! For weeks I have struggled with planning out the time in Spain. I'd wanted to devote chapters to their time there, seeing the sights and having deep conversations, but the whole thing was just so overwhelming that I put off starting it and when I finally did I wasn't happy with it. So then I decided, fuck it. Spain did what Spain was supposed to do and if I was ever going to get moving with this story, I needed to get moving with this story. So, this is what I ended up with. I hope you enjoy the chapter and I know I ended it at a frustrating spot (what's the lady version of blue balls, lol?) Anyway, this is the second to last chapter. The final chapter will be out soon I promise and while Im sad to see this story come to an end, Im ready. Thank you a million times for all your support, I cant say enough how much your kind words (and get off your butt words) mean to me!***

***Author's note 2: Thank you for the birthday wishes. The Pens/Hawks game was unbelievable! What a game, so much fun! My brother had a great time at his first game and after the game the best/craziest thing happened. We went to a pizza place across the street for a slice and a beer. This place is usually packed with people but I guess since it was a Sunday night, it was dead. Literally 8 people in the whole place. Well, as my brother and I were finishing our beer, who walks in the door but...Marc-Andre Fleury! He was with some guy in skater gear. Anyway, he looked so fantastic in his suit and slicked hair. I was like, "Oh my god, that's Marc-Andre Fleury!" and my brother was like are you sure? (he didn't seem to know what Flower looked like) Was I sure? Um, yes. Anyway, after he ordered my brother and I approached him (thanks pitcher of beer) and told him what a great game he had (he was the first star of the game) and that it was my brother's first game. He was so fucking nice. He stopped and talked to us, asked my brother what he thought of the game and even took a picture with each of us. We introduced ourselves and shook his hand and wished him luck. It was seriously one of the best moments of my life! He was just so cool. When approached by two semi drunken fans, instead of just saying thanks and moving along quickly, he stopped and genuinely seemed interested in having a conversation with us. My brother mentioned the stadium series, so I immediately piped in that he had been amazing tonight...so awkward, lol. Anyway, it was just really cool and the perfect ending to a great night. Plus I'm even more a Flower fan than I was before!
