Chapter 5: Annoying children, Revenge, and Inquisitions

~~~No one's POV~~~
Minami Shimada lay asleep in her bed as her alarm clock Jumped around her bedside table excitedly. Minami then jerked upward frantically while looking around her room in a panic. She glanced around her room until her emerald eyes landed on the Jittering alarm clock. Her pupils Doubled in size as she flung her covers off of her and leaped off of her bed and into the bathroom. She had overslept and was running ten minutes behind schedule. At this rate she was going to miss class.
Minami attacked her teeth with her tooth brush, while planning out how much time she had to finish getting ready and get to school. She estimated about twenty minutes and dove into a sense of panic. In a record time of twelve minutes, she ironed her uniform, changed into her uniform, and brushed her hair into her usual ponytail. After she tied her ribbon into her hair, she tumbled down the stairs almost tripping whilst jumping off the last step. Lastly, the rushing teenage girl snatched her backpack off of the floor and slapped on her shoes. At last she was out the door and hurrying down the street while yelling an indistinct goodbye to her family who watched her with astonished eyes.

The wooden doors of Class F violently slid into the wall with a loud crash, starling everyone in the room. An exhausted Minami slumped through the classroom and sat down in front of an open box next to Hideyoshi without even bothering to look around the room.
"Where's the fire?" questioned Hideyoshi as he observed his fatigued friend.
"Ran…late…hill…bicycle…"she breathed while clutching her chest.
"What?"
Minami took a deep breath before answering Hideyoshi, "I ran to school because I was running late and I had to run full speed up a hill and nearly got hit by a guy on a bike". Hideyoshi cocked his head to the side with a curious look.
"But…You're an hour early." He said while pointing to a clock.
"What?!" she whipped her head to the clock and saw that it was only seven-thirty. Her confused gaze left the clock and rotated around the room and she saw that Hideyoshi and a two other students where in there. "But…my clock said it was eight?."
"Maybe someone changed it." He said.
Minami thought back to when she was rushing out of her house. She remembered her parents looking at her like she was a singing cockroach and Hazuki smiling to herself while eating her breakfast. She groaned and flopped her head down onto her box.
"Why are you here so early then?" she asked turning her head towards the brunette.
"I had to meet with someone to get a few costumes ready for my acting class."
"Sounds fun." She said while stretching her arms out in front of her.
"It was. It felt like I was doing a drug deal." He said smirking.
Minami smiled and sat up straight again. The sound of the door sliding closed drew the pair's attention. Kouta hobbled into the classroom followed by Mizuki and Yuuji. They took a few empty boxes nearby and said "Hey" to Minami and Hideyoshi. Kouta and Minami's gaze caught on each other before he abruptly turned away with a faint pink tint to his cheeks. Minami looked away and joined the conversation going on between Yuuji and Mizuki.
"I hear that there's going to be some kind of tournament between the classes soon. Something about an Easter egg hunt," Yuuji said while turning sideways to face the gang.
"Do you think they'll mess with our avatars again?" Mizuki said looking nervous.
"They'd better not," interrupted Kouta "With my stupid leg injury, I won't be able to take any pictures," he cautiously took his chair in front of his desk.
"Hey, you should be happy, you get a desk and chair while the rest of us have to sit on these flimsy pillows" Akihisa said while shifting around on his pillow.
"I didn't think you got any last time, because of your excessive loss of blood." Minami said looking directly at him but for some reason he wouldn't return her gaze.
"I got couple before I passed out," he said looking at the window.
"And, yet you never found that picture Akihisa took of your avatar and Yuuji's avatar." Hideyoshi said looking up thoughtfully.
"WHAT PICTURE ?!" Yuuji and Kouta said simultaneously.
"HE'S LYING!" Akihisa said pointing his finger at Hideyoshi angrily.
"Are you talking about the one he sent to me?" Mizuki said innocently pulling out her phone and bringing it up.
"Yeah, he sent me that one too," Minami said holding up her phone next to mizuki's to show a picture of Yuuji holding Kouta's avatar seductively. Shouko and Aiko appeared in the doorway holding their phones up with identical pictures.
"We got them too" Aiko said grinning a them. It was then that Yuuji noticed that on Shouko's picture, her face had been pasted over Kouta's. A twitch passed over Yuuji's face as he and Kouta turned around towards Akihisa.
"When did you take that?" Kouta demanded through clenched teeth.
"When you were freaking out about it," Akihisa said. Yuuji turned to Kouta and said,
"You know what we must do right?" Kouta nodded.
"What?! What is it you must do?!" Akihisa yelled looking from Yuuji to Kouta. Kouta turned to Akihisa, is face void of emotion.
"Did you know that the FFF inquisition is having a meeting today?" he said with a terrifying calmness in his voice. Akihisa looked at him with a look of pure fear."They should be here any second." He finished looking directly at Akihisa. Akihisa looked to where Yuuji had been but quickly realized that he wasn't there.
"Wait! Where'd Yuuji go?!" he said panicking a little. He finally found Yuuji behind Mizuki, who was directly to his right. She looked back at him with a confused expression while Yuuji loomed over her with the creepiest smile Akihisa had ever seen him wear. Yuuji swiftly shoved Mizuki forward, startling a squeak out of her. She landed on Akihisa awkwardly just as the door slid open revealing a large group of eerie men in matching cloaks.
The classroom was silent as the cloaked men evaluated the situation in front of them. After about thirty seconds a dark purple aura started to emit from them.
"Akihisa Yoshi…" The man in front said, "The FFF inquisition sentences you to punishment by torture…and then DEATH" he said while the rest of the inquisition seized him. Ryo Sugawa led the eerie group away from the others and into a dark corner where they set Akihisa up of a stake and let the ground at his feet on fire.
Mizuki ran to the group to try and stop them while Minami sat in her chair trying to hold back laughter. When she felt the need to laugh subside she saw a hand slowly making its way towards her skirt. She swiftly grabbed the hand and brought it up so that the owner had to come face to face with her.
"Don't think I won't hurt you because of your leg little pervert." She said with narrowed eyes.
"Wait! I wasn't trying to lift your skirt! I was trying to get your phone." He said trying to squirm free. "I just wanted to delete the picture."
Minami looked down and saw her phone on her lap.
"No way. If you get to have a million embarrassing pictures of me, I get to have at least one of you!" she said while putting her phone into her jacket pocket.
"That's different!" he said using his other hand to grab for the phone. "I only get those for other people!".
"Well, that makes it even worse! Now I'm definitely keeping it. Don't worry, I'll be the only one looking at it." She said as she grabbed his other hand.
Kouta sat there defeated as Minami stared directly into his eyes. He thought about what she said and felt his face heat up. He looked away so that his eyes wouldn't meet hers.
"Are you…blushing?"Minami asked while examining his face
"No" Kouta said trying to free his hands from Minami's vise grip.
Then , out of nowhere a flash engulfed Kouta and one of his hands were free. He looked at Minami confused until he saw the phone in her hand.
"Didi you-"
"Now I can start a collection!" Minami said waving the phone in front of his face.
"NOOOO!" Kouta said leaning forwar more so he could reach for the phone again.
"KOUTA TSUCHIYA!" someone said. Kouta slowly turned his head to where the voice originated.
The FFF inquisition had stopped what they were doing with Akihisa and turned towards Kouta and Minami, leaving poor Akihisa to try and put out the flames with his breathe.
"C'MON GUYS IM BURNING HE-!" Akihisa started before he saw what was distracting the inquisition. "What the hell are you doing?"
"Uhh…" Kouta shot back away from Minami and Minami let go of him and turned away from him, clearly blushing.
"Kouta Tsuchiya" began Kyo, "We cannot hurt you now because of your injury. But remember that we have a list and you are on if. As soon as your leg heals we will come for you." He said sinking out of the classroom along with the other inquisition members.
"HELP ME!" Akihisa yelled trying to avoid the flames at his feet. Minami got up and helped Mizuki put out the fire and help Akihisa down, while the classroom slowly filled with students.
Hideyoshi walked up to Minami."What were you and Kouta doing?" he asked.
"Well" Minami started and the bell rang to her relief. Iron man walked into the classroom and stood at his podium.
"GOOD MORNING DELINQUENTS. AS YOU KNOW, THE AVATAR EASTER EGG HUNT WILL BE HAPPENING THIS WEEK !" he said. "YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE IN ACTIVIES SIMILAR TO THE HALLOWEEN CHALLENGE! IT WILL ALL BE EXPLAINED ON EASTER! FOR NOW, IM GOING TO EDUCATE YOU IN HISTORY." He finished.
Minami mentally slammed her head on her desk. She absolutely despised reading Kanji.

After class that day Minami lay in bed and stared up at her phone. She'd pulled up the picture she'd taken earlier that day. She had created a special album for it labeled Kouta and had added her other picture of him into it. She had given some thought to the collection of Kouta pictures she mentioned earlier and decided to actually do it. But she knew that the real reason she kept them wasn't to annoy Kouta, but for herself.

GAIZ! I haven't uploaded in a long time and decided to come up with a new system. I'll write two or three chapters at once (probably short ones) and upload them over shorter time periods. And every time I upload one, ill write two more to replace it. This way even if I'm dying in bed, I can upload one for you. Thanks for sticking with this story, and as flakey as I may be, I won't end the story without a good ending BELIEVE IT!
